"I divorced my wife, Liu Liuwen, last month due to irreconcilable differences," Lin Feng paused, his gaze sweeping over the reporters below. Each person he looked at instinctively sat up straighter.
"I believe you have all received the news. The reason I chose to return to the country at this time is that someone has used despicable means to steal my company, and that person," Lin Feng's tone turned colder, "is my wife and her lover, Chen Qiang!"
A stir erupted among the audience, with reporters whispering and discussing among themselves. Flashbulbs popped wildly, trying to capture every nuance of emotion on Lin Feng's face.
"I know what you are thinking," a cold smile appeared on Lin Feng's lips, "you must think I am talking nonsense, right?"
He took a deep breath and pulled out a document from his folder, holding it high. "This is the divorce agreement between Liu Liuwen and me. It clearly states that she voluntarily relinquished custody of our daughter and transferred thirty percent of my company's shares to me. If our separation was truly as she claimed—just a peaceful parting due to emotional discord—why would she make such concessions?"
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is just the tip of the iceberg." Lin Feng slammed the document onto the table, producing a dull thud that echoed sharply in the quiet press room. "I have more evidence here that can prove how Liu Liuwen and Chen Qiang colluded step by step to take my company, my hard work, for themselves!"
He picked up a photograph and displayed it for everyone to see. In the photo, Liu Liuwen and Chen Qiang were seen in an intimate pose, clearly a couple in love.
"This photo was taken a month ago, just a day before Liu Liuwen and I finalized our divorce," Lin Feng's voice was filled with anger and sorrow. "This is what they call 'emotional discord'; this is what they refer to as a 'peaceful separation'!"
The reporters below were completely stunned by the scene before them; they had not anticipated such deep secrets hidden behind this divorce case.
"Chen Qiang, I know you are here; do you have anything to say?" Lin Feng's gaze was like a sharp sword, piercing through the crowd toward Chen Qiang.
Chen Qiang's face turned pale, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He wanted to refute, wanted to argue, but faced with Lin Feng's undeniable evidence, he found himself unable to utter a single word.
"What's wrong? No words to say?" Lin Feng sneered, "Aren't you quite the talker? Aren't you wealthy and powerful? Why are you hiding like a turtle now?"
"You..." Chen Qiang gritted his teeth, unable to refute. He never expected Lin Feng to strike at this moment, and to have so much evidence against him.
"I know you have people backing you, but let me tell you, I, Lin Feng, am not so easily defeated!" Lin Feng's voice was strong and resonated in the press room. "I will make you pay for what you've done!"
After finishing his statement, Lin Feng turned and left, leaving behind a tall figure and a room full of shocked reporters and a stunned Chen Qiang.
After leaving the press room, Lin Feng walked straight to the elevator. His steps were steady and powerful, but his tightly clenched fists and slightly trembling fingertips revealed that his heart was not calm at this moment.
"Mr. Lin, are you okay?" Su Qing hurriedly followed, asking with concern.
Lin Feng shook his head without speaking and pressed the elevator button. The elevator doors slowly closed, isolating him from the noisy outside world and chaotic gazes.
"Those reporters are really terrifying..." Su Qing said with lingering fear, "Like a pack of sharks smelling blood."
Lin Feng turned to look at her, a hint of a bitter smile on his lips: "This is just the beginning; the real show is yet to come."
