Chapter 261:
The Ash Giant took large strides toward the figure in the black robe, and then its massive arms swung down violently.
The resulting whirlwind made the Red Robe flutter behind the three individuals.
Bang!
After the loud sound, large clumps of black soil were sent flying in all directions.
A deep pit suddenly appeared where the figure had just stood.
Sani squinted her eyes as she observed the aftermath caused by the Ash Giant.
The Ash Giant she summoned possessed immense power and carried a gravitational Force Field, which could effectively attack these highly resistant insects. Even the Black Insect Mother Nest would likely suffer severe injuries if not outright destroyed.
Beside her, Bruce seemed oblivious to the Ash Giant's attack, quickly pulling out some items from his body to assemble them.
He was considered the weakest among the three, but his expertise in Rune Arrays meant that if given enough time, the damage he could inflict would be the highest of them all.
Suddenly, Sani furrowed her brow as she focused on the situation.
In the distance, her connection with the Ash Giant abruptly severed, and then the Ash Giant stood still like a massive stone statue.
"Something's wrong; it's not injured!"
Just as she finished speaking, the entire body of the Ash Giant began to tremble slightly. With a sharp crack, a gray fragment on its chest suddenly split open, revealing what lay inside.
The three of them clearly saw what was happening in the giant's chest: a swarm of Black Bugs was crawling everywhere, using their sharp mandibles to tear apart everything about the Ash Giant.
"Damn wizard! Become a part of my body!"
The overlapping voices echoed once more.
Suddenly, the massive body of the Ash Giant collapsed, and a large swarm of Black Bugs surged out like a flood breaking through a dam, rushing towards the three.
At that moment, Bruce, who had been rapidly assembling his equipment, suddenly felt a flicker of white flame in his eyes. He put down the rune device in his hand and slapped it forcefully.
Boom!!!
Just as the flood of Black Bugs was about to engulf them, a gigantic Black Iron Door rose up from the ground.
The door was surrounded by dark chains that burrowed deep into the earth, and in the center was a strange triangular rune.
Clang!!!!
A rumbling sound echoed from behind the door as a large section of the rune-formed Black Iron Door bulged outward, causing the surrounding chains to rattle violently.
The White Flame flickering in Bruce's eyes suddenly dimmed, and he hurriedly said, "No, the power of the swarm is too great; I can't hold them off for long. Warren, are you ready?"
"Not yet! That guy's Hellish Aura contaminated my Crystal; I'm trying to purge it!"
"How long will it take?" Sani said coldly while observing.
Since the Ash Giant had collapsed, she had begun to gather a powerful Spell. Her arms were slowly entwined with layers of blue threads, gradually transforming into twisting Azure Serpents.
"I have a potent purification potion! Just two minutes!" He pulled out a vial containing Black Liquid, opened it, and drank it down.
"Good!" Sani nodded and turned to Bruce. "Bruce, you need to cover me. These bugs can't be killed with large-scale Spells, and it seems they can reproduce through the energy they emit. We'll have to rely on physical attacks!"
"Got it!"
Bruce extended his finger, and the White Flame in his eyes suddenly expanded under mental stimulation. He quickly inscribed a complex rune and slapped it towards Sani's back.
"Snap."
Sani instinctively took a step forward, and at that moment, a white tiger head slowly emerged around her body before disappearing again.
Feeling the change in her body, Sani's gaze was fixed on the massive iron door ahead as it slowly bulged and elongated, then transformed into several black lines that rushed toward the group of Black Bugs behind her.
Bruce watched Sani leave and turned to see Warren struggling to dispel the aura. He reached out and lightly snapped his fingers. With a whoosh, a transparent white flame ignited at his fingertips.
"Sister Sani should be able to hold on for a while; let me give you a hand!"
"Thanks! I owe you one!" Warren replied in a low voice.
Bruce did not respond to Warren's words but instead flicked the transparent flame forcefully toward his forehead.
The flame seemed to be non-physical, directly merging with him, and Warren's eyes gradually ignited with white flames as wisps of struggling Black Smoke quickly dispersed from the top of his head.
On the other side, behind the Black Iron Door, several piercing lights suddenly appeared.
All the Black Bugs seemed to melt away like snow, rapidly decomposing to reveal shadowy figures in black robes.
Sani gripped two ethereal blue daggers tightly, breathing heavily. Beside her, a massive white tiger crouched protectively at her side.
The exposed figure in black robes reached out with hands full of insects and plunged them directly into its abdomen.
"Rip."
Several Azure Serpents that were gnawing on the Black Bugs were pulled out and crushed into blue smoke before being drawn back into the black-robed figure's body.
Immediately, a large swarm of Black Bugs spread out from beneath him once again.
Seeing the newly emerged Black Bugs, Sani patted the white tiger beside her and then retreated explosively.
"No! Physical attacks have a strong effect on this guy, but Spell can devour them. This ability..."
As she retreated hastily, she suddenly saw the Face composed of numerous gray worms beneath the black hood.
"Eh? That face..."
Suddenly, a book she had seen before flashed in Sani's mind, and the face from that book slowly overlapped with the figure in the black robe before her.
This sudden thought sent a chill down her spine.
"No! This is impossible! That guy was sealed by the Transcendence of the Starlit Prince over a thousand years ago! That kind of hellish existence!!"
Though she desperately denied it in her heart, her rationality kept insisting that this was true.
Without any hesitation, she abruptly threw the two daggers in her hands and quickly retreated behind the iron door.
Warren, with Bruce's help, was slowly getting to his feet. On his aged face, dark streaks were spreading from his skin, clearly indicating he was about to make a move.
However, he was stopped by Sani, who had just arrived.
"Wait!"
"Huh? What's wrong, Sister Sani?" Warren asked, holding onto a green lightning bolt that was constantly jumping with confusion.
Without answering him directly, Sani turned to look at the most knowledgeable one among them, Bruce.
"Bruce! Do you remember the incident about the Gate of Hell from over a thousand years ago?!"
"Is it about Starlit Archmage Fikes?" Although unsure why Sani was asking at this moment, Bruce thought for a moment and immediately replied.
"Yes, that's the one! I suspect that this guy we are facing is the same existence that was sealed by the Starlit Prince over a thousand years ago!" Sani asserted.
"What?" Upon hearing Sani's words, Bruce instinctively shook his head. "Impossible. If that kind of existence were real, we wouldn't be alive here! Moreover, all historical texts indicate that the being from hell was ultimately sealed away in an unknown space by Prince Fix, and it wouldn't appear in the Wizarding World."
"What if that guy was sealed in the Dimension space after being cursed by the Starlit Prince, and then transformed into a secret realm by a Wizard Organization?" Sani pressed on.
"This..." Looking at Sani's serious expression, both Bruce and Warren felt there might be some truth to it.
"Have you forgotten what my hidden surname is?" Noticing their disbelief, Sani stated directly.
Silence fell between the two. If it involved Sani's true Bloodline, then this place could very well be the sealing ground left by Fex.
"What do we do? Even if it has been sealed for a thousand years, its power would have weakened to a certain extent. As long as its soul is not dead, there are many opportunities for rebirth. The Corpse Worm it's currently possessing is another layer of sealing placed by the Starlit Prince."
Although Bruce didn't know the specifics of the situation back then, he was aware of some of the most confidential matters.
"I think that guy has been sealed for a thousand years; his mind is probably dull by now. Although he is immortal, his power isn't at the fourth-level transformative stage. Wait a moment; I will use my family's Dark Sealing Technique to seal him again. You two help me hold him for thirty seconds; I need to locate him!" Sani said firmly.
"Got it!" Bruce and Warren nodded in unison.
Boom!
While the three were conversing, the center of the collapsing Black Iron Door exploded, and a torrent of black insects surged down.
Above the swarm of insects, a figure in a black robe suddenly extended his hand, causing a swarm of gray flying insects to detach from his body.
Watching the gray insects fly towards the three, his eyes hidden beneath the hood were filled with deep disgust.
"If it weren't for the fact that this isn't hell! And this disgusting body with these three bugs..."
As the black insect swarm rushed forward, the three immediately retreated in different ways.
In the place they left, a dazzling light suddenly erupted, incinerating the numerous Black Bugs that had just pounced. This was the rune trap set by Bruce earlier.
Sani transformed into several black lines and exited the battle circle, pulling out a half-black wing from behind her.
The base of the wing still twitched with muscle, trembling occasionally as if it had just been plucked from some kind of bird.
Looking at the quivering black wing, an inexplicable expression appeared in Sani's eyes.
"I really went all out this time, Mother. I'm sorry!"
She whispered softly, then grasped the wing tightly. With a hiss, the dark wing disintegrated into floating black feathers in front of her.
Next, she bit her fingertip and flicked a drop of blood onto these black feathers.
Instantly, the black feathers erupted with several streaks of silver light.
"With my Bloodline, I open the Eternal Gate for ultimate purification."
A poetic incantation flowed from her lips, and a silver mark in the shape of a gate slowly emerged on her forehead, making her previously youthful face appear incredibly sacred.
In the distance, Bruce and Warren were using physical spells to continuously deplete the number of Black Bugs on either side. However, as energy around them kept replenishing, their extermination far exceeded the spawning.
"Devour them!"
A hoarse echo escaped from the mouth of the figure in the black robe, and a large swarm of gray insects surged from his back, forming two terrifying faces that charged toward the two men.
Just as they intended to cast spells to escape, dark red feathers began to drift down slowly from above.
The number of feathers was immense, falling like snowflakes. Upon touching a Black Bug, they formed a pitch-black sphere that trapped it inside.
At this moment, silver patterns emerged all over Sani's body, and her dark red pupils transformed into silvery white as she floated gently in the air, gazing at the figure in black robe from afar.
"Go."
A sudden, inexplicable gust of wind surged from Sani's fingertips, carrying large swathes of silver feathers toward the figure in the black robe.
"This aura is Fex!? No!!!"
Seeing the massive feathers approaching, the figure in the black robe screamed and instantly transformed into a swarm of flying insects, darting away into the distance.
However, the transformation into insects was ultimately too slow, and soon the feathers caught up.
With a faint sound, all the gray insects were immediately covered by the silver feathers, transforming into pitch-black Spheres.

With a clear crisp sound, the black sphere was actually struck open, and several gray worms immediately flew out.
Seeing this scene, the three of them reacted instantly, a large flash of silver light appeared, and the flying worms quickly turned to ash.
At the same time, Sani threw a blue ring onto the black sphere. The newly formed opening quickly returned to its original state, and the struggling black sphere gradually fell silent.
"Sink down."
In a deep voice, a dark hole slowly opened in the ground beneath the black sphere, which sank directly into the hole as the ground gradually closed up.
After a long while, having completed all this, Sani suddenly fell from the air and was caught by Warren in a horizontal embrace.
Her face was now covered with fine blood vessels, and the silver patterns on her body slowly faded away.

Her tired voice revealed that Sani's once youthful face had aged significantly. Her hair was now gradually showing faint silver strands, indicating that it was not just her Bloodline that had been consumed but possibly her vitality as well.
Wizards have various methods to replenish their life force; it's just a bit more complicated.
