"You?" Hearing what Fran Sith said, Freya suddenly looked up, her eyes uncertain. "Are you really going to give me the Nightmare Sand?" 0

"Of course, you've helped me a great deal this time. If we delay any longer, the impact on the secret realm will be significant, and the loss of Magic Stones for the Eye of Truth will far exceed that of the Nightmare Sand." 0

"But... that's your family's resource... do you have the right to give it away..." Freya questioned, somewhat doubtful. 0

"Don't worry, you're my friend. I'll convince a few of the old folks in my family. After all, it's not an exaggeration to say that I'm in line to be the next clan leader," Fran Sith assured, patting his chest. 0

"..." Looking at Fran Sith's sunny middle-aged face, Freya felt a flicker of gratitude in her heart. 0

After all, the time they had truly spent together was very short. If it weren't for Fran Sith suddenly writing to her, she might have forgotten about him entirely in a few years. 0

Back on the ship, she and Fran Sith had only shared a fleeting acquaintance; she never expected that now... 0

"Thank you. No matter what happens, you will always be my friend, Freya Green," Freya said solemnly. 0

"Of course!" (To be continued) 0

Listening to the narration of Franc Sith, Freya did not respond, only smiling lightly. 0

The tender green grass felt soft underfoot, and the nearby lake rippled with clear water, occasionally disturbed by a fish leaping from the surface, splashing water around. 0

The two walked quietly along the lakeside path as if taking a leisurely stroll. Sunlight filtered through the dense leaves above, creating circular patches of light on the ground. 0

Freya gently inhaled the fresh air of the forest and then slowly exhaled. 0

A family represents a legacy; even the poorest family has many things that people have gathered together, such as resources, knowledge, and connections. These are undoubtedly a rich treasure for the descendants of the family. 0

But Freya was all alone; she had nothing to rely on except herself. 0

Her azure eyes narrowed slightly as she gazed into the distance at the busy figures. Suddenly, she felt a pang of longing for her family far across the sea: her father, who appeared strict but was very lenient with her; her brother, who had come to his senses; Nick, who once had feelings for her; and Damsdin, Howard Bailey… Familiar faces flashed through her mind, making her feel a sense of nostalgia. As she walked down the path of a wizard, she realized that no matter what, an insurmountable chasm had formed between her and them. 0

"What's wrong?" Noticing Freya's distant gaze, Franc Sith asked with concern. 0

"Nothing, just suddenly feeling a bit homesick," Freya replied with a smile. 0

"Heh heh, I remember you said your hometown is across the sea. If you succeed in advancing in the future, what are your plans? Will you go back home?" 0

"I'll probably go back to take a look… but over there, knowledge about wizards has already become folklore, and resources are likely scarce. Ultimately, I will have to return here," Freya said lightly. 0

"I see…" Franc Sith nodded in understanding. "Actually, if I hadn't been born into the Elk Wizard Family, I would have really liked an ordinary person's life. I was sent away because of family matters when I was very young. Until I turned ten, I always thought I was just a child from an ordinary family. Back then, I even dreamed of becoming an adventurer or joining the army when I grew up… My swordsmanship teacher praised my talent at that time; looking back now, it was probably just because of my bloodline..." 0

"Now you can still choose to join the army or become an adventurer," Freya teased. 0

"Now? There are so many people relying on me for their meals. How could I just leave?" Franc Sith shrugged helplessly. 0

"That's your own business," Freya chuckled lightly. 0

Unbeknownst to them, they had slowly walked to the end of the lakeside path where an elegant white pavilion came into view. 0

Inside the pavilion sat two male apprentices dressed in gray robes, appearing to be around fourteen or fifteen years old. They were whispering to each other with their heads close together, their hands intertwined. Perhaps they were too engrossed in their conversation; they did not notice Freya and Franc approaching. 0

Seeing their affectionate demeanor made Franc Sith's face noticeably flush slightly. 0

"Let's go somewhere else." 0

Freya nodded in agreement and turned around, continuing down the path they had come from. 0

Interrupted by the two apprentices, Freya lost her mood for a heart-to-heart conversation. After walking for a while, she suddenly looked up and asked Franc Sith, "By the way, do you know how to obtain the resources needed to draw the promotion magic circle?" 0

"Well, as far as I know, most major Wizarding Organizations have these resources. However, to obtain them, you must formally join the organization. Additionally, you need to gain core recognition within the organization and achieve certain accomplishments before you can be allocated any. Your Elgreen Academy should have similar provisions." 0

"Do I need to join an organization?" Freya frowned slightly. 0

Joining an organization would mean a temporary loss of her freedom. As far as she knew, a Third-Rank Apprentice at Elgreen Academy could actually change their Apprentice Contract signed with the academy to another form. However, they would need to leave a Life Mark on the Contract as a sign of loyalty, meaning that if they did anything against the organization, escaping would be impossible and quite troublesome. 0

The last task Hegel entrusted her with involved a person's identity that she would remain completely unaware of unless she was promoted to Official Wizard. 0

If that person happened to be unfortunate enough to belong to the academy... it was known that mutual slaughter among organizations was intolerable anywhere. 0

She had considered joining another organization or family, but her current status still tied her to the academy with an apprentice contract that prevented her from leaving for three years. 0

"Is there any other way to obtain them besides joining an organization?" she asked after some thought. 0

"Well... then it would be a matter of luck," Franc Sith replied after pondering. "These materials might also appear at some Wizard Organization auctions, but the prices are exorbitant... Additionally, you might find these items in some declining Wizard's Realms; in short, it requires luck." 0

"I see..." Freya fell into deep thought. 0

Although she had received a sum of Magic Stones as compensation from Benifen, based on past experiences, such precious resources necessary for promoting to wizard were definitely targets for competition among families or organizations; she simply couldn't compete. 0

Thus, she could only take the last route and rely on luck... 0

Perhaps noticing Freya's contemplative expression, Franc Sith frowned slightly and said, "If you're in urgent need, my family still has some stock of Nightmare Sand left over from my last use; it should be enough for one magic circle..." 0
