As Ke Yu finished the incantation, a series of clattering sounds followed. The skeleton by the entrance emitted a purple glow from its eyes, and soon the cave gradually brightened, revealing the scene inside.
"Great Sage, we can go in now!" Ke Yu turned to Lingfeng and said.
Lingfeng nodded and followed closely behind Ke Yu.
The entrance resembled a thin doorway, but upon entering, it felt like stepping into another world.
In the distance, numerous buildings stood on the flat grassland. These structures were black and did not resemble ancient Chinese architecture; instead, they bore a resemblance to black European-style buildings.
The sunlight here was somewhat dim. For Demon Cultivators, they did not require sufficient yang energy to maintain balance within their bodies. On the contrary, they preferred to have ample yin energy and then increase their Demonic Energy through cultivation.
The black buildings were scattered in irregular shapes without any semblance of order. Each building had four stories, with no windows on the upper levels, giving them a mysterious and eerie appearance.
"Is this the location of the Spirit Sect?" Lingfeng asked.
"Yes, the building in the center is the office for high-ranking personnel from the Demon Realm. The lower-level Demon Cultivators are on the first floor of that central building, intermediate-level Demon Cultivators occupy the second floor, Spirit Priests are on the third floor, and the top floor is reserved for the supreme being of the Demon Realm. However, since the supreme being has just returned and has not yet mastered high-level spells or reached the required realm, he is currently placed in the distant Demon Valley. The other buildings serve as residences for some disciples and training locations."
Lingfeng nodded and then asked Ke Yu, "How can I enter the Spirit Sect?"
"I'm not quite sure about that either. We disciples were brought here by their Mandala Demon Realm without undergoing any tests. However, I will go back shortly to meet with the Vice Hall Master of the Sacred Hall to let him decide!"
Afterward, Lingfeng followed Ke Yu to the Sacred Hall. Ke Yu asked Lingfeng to wait outside for a moment before entering.
Before long, Ke Yu emerged and allowed Lingfeng to enter.
The Sacred Hall was quite dim due to a lack of windows, resulting in poor lighting. However, purple spirit flames hung on both sides of the walls, evidently created by the Demon Cultivators through spells as a source of illumination.
As Lingfeng passed through a low door and stepped onto the ground inside, he immediately felt a cold breeze blowing towards him.

The Sacred Hall was located on the third floor of the central building, but the upper and lower floors were not connected by stairs; instead, they were linked through two teleportation portals arranged with magical energy.
Curious, Lingfeng stood on the portal, and a wave of intense purple light flashed before him, transporting him to the second floor. Afterward, he arrived at another portal, which took him to the third floor.
Ke Yu led Lingfeng through several corridors that felt somewhat winding. Although these buildings did not appear large from the outside, their peculiar design created a sense of vastness within. In reality, it utilized some spiraling principles to fill the space with an air of mystery.
Ke Yu brought Lingfeng to an arched doorway and said, "The Vice Hall Master is right inside. You can go in now. Just answer whatever he asks you!"
Lingfeng nodded and pushed open the wooden door, stepping inside.
The arched doorway made Lingfeng expect that the room would be spacious as well. However, upon entering, a feeling of emptiness and desolation immediately arose. The room lacked any purple lighting tools and was pitch black, making Lingfeng feel somewhat uncomfortable.
Though feeling a bit anxious, Lingfeng steeled himself and continued walking deeper inside.
"Are you the one who wishes to join the Spirit Sect?" Suddenly, an aged voice echoed from the darkness. The voice sounded as if it belonged to a thousand-year-old zombie awakening, mixed with symptoms of bronchitis.
Lingfeng felt a tingling sensation on his scalp—not just because the voice was somewhat frightening but also due to the overwhelming aura emanating from the person. Just by instinct, Lingfeng could tell that this person's cultivation level was at least at the late stage of Nascent Soul, meaning their Demon Cultivation realm had reached at least the early stage of Control Demon.
"I... I know that Demon Cultivation is profound and extensive, and that Demon Cultivators of the same level are stronger than cultivators. Moreover, I've heard that once I reach the Demon Realm, I will be protected by demon gods and will never have to endure the suffering of reincarnation!" Lingfeng exaggeratedly recounted all the benefits of Demon Cultivation.
The person responded with a satisfied grunt and asked, "What spells have you learned?"

Lingfeng had already retracted all of his Spiritual Energy and stored the Connecting Rod imbued with Spiritual Energy in Xuanji, which is why this Vice Hall Master was unable to detect Lingfeng's Spiritual Energy. However, Lingfeng was still surprised; in such a completely enclosed space where he couldn't see his own hand, he could actually see the structure of his body clearly, which was evidently extraordinary.
"Your bones are unique, your body is strong, and you don't look like an ordinary person. You will surely achieve great things in the future. Since that's the case, I grant you a token; go report to the upper-level Demon Cultivation Hall!" A purple light shot towards Lingfeng from the darkness.
Lingfeng caught the token casually and saw that it had a fierce-looking skull on one side, while the other side bore the character for "demon."
"Thank you, Hall Master!" Lingfeng cupped his fists in gratitude and then walked toward the door.
However, the wooden door was already closed. Lingfeng relied on his instincts to walk toward the door and after some effort finally managed to open it.
Ke Yu was waiting in the corridor for Lingfeng. When he saw Lingfeng come out, he hurriedly asked, "Which place did Hall Master assign you to?"
Lingfeng wiped his sweat; the previous environment had been too oppressive, and facing this terrifying mysterious Vice Hall Master had indeed made him sweat quite a bit.
Lingfeng took out the token again and murmured, "What Demon Cultivation Hall did he assign me to?"
"Demon Cultivation Hall?" Ke Yu nodded in agreement and cleaned the token. He explained, "The skull on it is the key. After you report in, you can take it off and wear it around your neck. Also, junior disciples are not allowed to enter or exit Spirit Sect freely; you'll have to endure this for about a month!"
"That's fine!" Lingfeng waved his hand and added, "Just show me where Spirit Sect's training places are!"
"There are four halls in Spirit Sect. The one responsible for maintaining order is Sacred Hall. Then there’s Demon Cultivation Hall, Cultivation Hall, and Assassination Hall! Except for Sacred Hall, the other three halls are where disciples train," Ke Yu explained.
"I thought Spirit Sect would be some grand sect; I didn't expect the hierarchy to be so straightforward!" Lingfeng thought to himself. And Assassination Hall..."
At this point, Ke Yu showed a look of admiration and after a moment of distraction, slowly said, "The Hall Master of the Assassination Hall is a great beauty, and not only is she beautiful, but her cultivation is also remarkable..."
Ke Yu seemed to want to continue, but Lingfeng was already a bit impatient. He thought to himself that since arriving in the Cultivation Realm, the most beautiful women he had seen were all at the Demon Suppression Sect. Lingfeng looked around and noticed that there were six identical outer buildings surrounding them. These buildings formed a huge circle around a central structure. At first glance, it was not easy to distinguish between them. However, Ke Yu had been here for quite some time; how could he not tell them apart?
After a while, Lingfeng grew impatient and said, "You've been in the Spirit Sect for so long; can't you distinguish between the buildings?"
Ke Yu chuckled awkwardly and replied, "Hehe, my sense of direction is very poor; I easily get turned around wherever I go!"
