The rotating Azure Lotus Flame brought a gust of hot wind, turning the entire space into a furnace.
The Azure Lotus Flame, although merely my Heart Fire, was something I was using for the first time. However, I felt no hesitation in wielding this flame; once I got the hang of it, it was even more intuitive than the Yang Fire I had already mastered.
This sense of ease came from my practice of the Eight Treasures Mystique, which includes a technique called 'Samadhi Fire.' The term "Samadhi" here differs from that of True Fire; it refers to the local understanding of Samadhi.
Refined Fire, Earthly Fire, Heart Fire—these are all aspects of Samadhi Fire. Samadhi Fire encompasses all flames between heaven and earth. Once one perfectly masters this method, they can freely use all fires in the world.
Of course, my current mastery of Samadhi Fire is not yet proficient; previously, I could only invoke it with the help of a Fire Talisman. But now, my Heart Fire has been ignited within me. Since it is my own Heart Fire and I have learned Samadhi Fire, it is not too surprising that I can wield it skillfully right away.
This technique, Universal, was initially just an exaggerated idea of mine. It wasn't until I set up the Bagua Formation that I finally had the courage to give it a try.
As it turns out, although the conditions are quite demanding, this technique is indeed feasible!
With a bend of my knees, I transformed into a streak of Azure fire that shot out from the massive fire lotus. The fire lotus had begun to spin on its own without my support.
The Azure flames burning on me were actually my magical energy dissipating. At that moment, the output of my energy was too great to control properly. It didn't matter; after all, I wasn't short on magical energy.
“Xia Liyi, did you bring your phone?” I called out to Xia Liyi beside me. “If you did, help me take some pictures.”
Capturing this scene could directly make it into a movie; it would be more dazzling than any special effects. After all, preparing for such a move takes so much effort that by the next time I use it, who knows what era it will be!
“I didn’t bring it,” Xia Liyi shrugged her shoulders and said helplessly. “Have you ever seen someone dig up graves while taking pictures?”
“I’ve never even seen anyone dig up graves.”
“…”
In the distance, the power of the fire lotus began to reveal itself. Under the enhancement of the Bagua Formation, the fire lotus started to spin rapidly and faster. Originally having only four petals, as its rotation accelerated, the petals began to create afterimages. From afar, it appeared to have far more than four petals and increasingly resembled a perfect lotus flower!
The lotus slowly bloomed in the space, generating a terrifying force that cleaved the nearby Ape in half. The upper body of the fallen Ape then collapsed directly into the heart of the lotus, continuing to be shredded.
Universal is actually a powerful area-of-effect skill, but the conditions for its use are extremely harsh. Without sufficient preparation time, it cannot be unleashed.
In my expectations, the power of Universal should not be limited to this; if this lotus could open more petals, its power would become even more terrifying.
Moreover, while the Bagua Formation provided support for Universal, it also somewhat weakened its power. After all, while Wind Array inflated the Azure Lotus Flame, it also diluted it significantly. Although the temperature remained terrifying, comparable to Yang Fire, it lacked the explosive force I had anticipated.
However, this is unavoidable. Given my current control, I cannot make this massive fire lotus rotate without wind; I can only rely on the support of the Bagua Formation to execute this move. To fully control this lotus, my Samadhi Fire must reach a proficient level.
The Eight Treasures Mystique consists of eight methods, each with four levels: Entry—Proficiency—Mastery—Perfection. Of course, this is my definition of these eight methods; in reality, only the perfection level is universally acknowledged. In the Eight Treasures Mystique, any method reaching mastery can achieve Great Immortal strength, while perfection corresponds to Deity level.
Wind Walk, Spiritual Sight, and Talisman Magic are the three methods I am currently skilled in and have gradually begun to approach proficiency.
Samadhi Fire, Soul Summoning Technique, and Summoning Technique are barely at the entry level for me, while I have yet to grasp even the basics of Transcendental Sutra and Survey.
The Universal fire lotus continued to spin high above, but having lost my control, it began to lose its lotus shape and transformed into a massive whirlwind of Azure Flame.
Due to various limitations, the current Universal is merely a prototype. However, even so, when this move was truly unleashed, its power still exceeded my expectations.
The Azure flame vortex did not last long because it was entirely sustained by the Bagua Formation, which had now exhausted its magical energy.
The power released by a skill is proportional to the magical energy consumed. Even though my current Universal is not in its complete form, it still consumed a massive amount of magical energy. If I had attempted to unleash such a skill before absorbing Essence of Blood, I would have likely exhausted all my magical energy at once and still not have enough.
Finally, the last flame dissipated. The Ape army that had emerged from the previous vortex was almost reduced to ashes by Universal.
The Azure Lotus Flame should actually be one tier higher than Yin Fire; however, due to my lack of control, its effectiveness was not as good as that of Yang Fire.
However, this level of the Ape has been passed.
"Roar!!!" From the ashes, a charred body slowly crawled up from the ground.
"Is there anyone still alive?" I looked at the pile of remnants and raised a hand: "Azure Lotus!"
An Azure lotus slowly opened its petals above me. Unlike the previous large Azure Lotus, this one was delicate, only about the size of a palm. The Azure Lotus resembled a piece of jade carved into shape, with a seed pod in the center, neatly arranged with lotus seeds on top.
All the lotus seeds were arranged around the central seed, and on top of that central seed was a faintly colored Azure Flame.
This could be considered a miniature version of the Universal Azure Lotus; the entire flower was compressed using magical power, and that flame on the central seed was my Heart Fire—Azure Lotus Flame.
"Universal Azure Lotus!!!" The Azure Lotus slowly floated down from my palm and landed on the last remaining Ape.
The Azure Lotus fell onto the Ape as if it had no weight, and then the central Azure Lotus Flame ignited the entire lotus formed from magical energy.
As soon as the flower touched the Ape's body, it exploded, while the Azure Lotus Flame had already ignited the Azure Lotus.
Petals with Azure flames fell down, instantly igniting the entire body of the Ape.
"Whoosh!!"
A gust of wind swept by but did not disturb a single petal of the lotus.
"Rise!" I suddenly lifted my palm upward, controlling the flames to ascend.
I could still control this level of flame with ease, and this type of Azure Lotus, I called it Universal Azure Lotus!
The difference between Universal and Pudu is merely in size.
"Chirp chirp," the Ape began to let out a mournful cry.
"Xia Liyi," I said, "get ready, we're going out."
"Okay," Xia Liyi nodded in agreement.
"Blossom!" I shouted softly, suddenly clenching my open palm into a fist.
The Azure Lotus Flame surrounding the Ape suddenly erupted, tearing its body apart.
This was the final scene that the Universal Azure Lotus had not fully displayed before. If it had been an Azure Lotus of that caliber that exploded, the entire space would have been ignited; the group attack skill is most terrifying for its final splash damage!
Once tainted by the Azure Lotus Flame, only I could extinguish it.
Generally speaking, cultivators who have already ignited their Heart Fire must start from ordinary flames, but I am different. My Azure Mana is not common; it should be a unique mana cultivated through a special method.
Azure Mana is not particularly suitable as fuel for flames, but it pairs perfectly with my Azure Lotus Flame. Perhaps only when Azure mana meets this Azure flame can we unleash their strongest power!
As a wisp of blue smoke rose after the Ape was burned, Xia Liyi and I finally left that space.
"Ah," I exhaled lightly; the scent in that space was quite intoxicating.
"Yin Zheng'an," Xia Liyi patted my shoulder and said, "that's not right."
"What’s not right?" I straightened up and asked.
"This isn't the room where we were just playing chess," Xia Liyi said as she looked around.
"Is that so?" I wasn't surprised; this ancient tomb was too bizarre, almost like it had teleportation arrays all over the map!
"It seems like someone used to live here," Xia Liyi analyzed. She is studying Archaeology, so she certainly knows her stuff.
"Someone lived here?" I asked in surprise. This is a tomb; how could anyone have lived inside? "Are you sure?"
"Absolutely," Xia Liyi gasped. "It shouldn't be a person; look up for yourself."
Not a person? A ghost? I looked up.
"Hiss," I inhaled sharply and brushed off the dust from the stele beside me.
"Am I crazy or are you crazy?" I murmured.
"I think this world has gone crazy," Xia Liyi also murmured.
The stele that I had brushed off the dust from had ten large characters written in seal script, which even I could easily recognize.
'Flower-Fruit Mountain Blessed Land, Water Curtain Cave!'
Water Curtain Cave??? What the hell!
