Zhang Yang turned around and saw that the person in the water had already reached the shore. It was Shi Qing.
At this moment, Shi Qing was wearing an Apple Green Short-Sleeve T-Shirt on top and jeans on the bottom. The T-shirt was already wet, clinging to her body. Although her chest was not particularly prominent, the outline of her underwear was clearly visible, and combined with her slender waist, Liang Ming couldn't help but let out a soft "oh."
"Beautiful lady, did you find your way out of the maze by yourself?" Zhang Yang took off his shirt and threw it to Shi Qing, glad that he still had a Black Tank Top underneath.
"Thanks!" Shi Qing surprisingly took off her wet T-shirt and put on Zhang Yang's shirt. When she removed it, she merely turned slightly to the side. Although she was wearing underwear, large areas of her fair and smooth skin glowed in the darkness, causing Zhang Yang's heart to skip a beat, while Liang Ming swallowed audibly.
"I have to say, your skin is really nice and fair," Liang Ming couldn't help but comment to Shi Qing.
Shi Qing ignored him, wringing out her soaked T-shirt to wipe her face and head before answering Zhang Yang's earlier question: "If I hadn't found my way out, would I be wading through this pool?"
"You got out so quickly; that means you found the most straightforward path without making a single wrong move," Zhang Yang said.
"Maybe it was just luck; I went with my instincts," Shi Qing adjusted the Purple-Black Ring around her neck and added, "Let's go together; I don't think this meal will be easy to get. I don't know which building is the restaurant."
Zhang Yang looked ahead; it was dark, and none of the buildings had lights on, so he could only make out their general shapes.
"None of these buildings are restaurants," a cold voice came from behind.
"Qi Shen, you're quick," Liang Ming turned around and saw that it was Qi Shen. He couldn't resist teasing him: "With your skin tone, it's perfect for hiding in the dark."
"This Kuro Sijin really leads to Black Death," Zhang Yang said. "Let's go; standing here isn't going to help." With that, he moved forward.
The four of them quickly advanced. When they were about seven or eight meters away from the steps leading to the central building, they found that the path ended abruptly in a patch of grass.
Only then did they get a clearer view: there were four buildings in total. The two in the middle were quite large, about five stories high. The two large buildings were separated by seven or eight meters, with a passage connecting them at around the third floor level. The buildings on either side were simple two-story structures; although not connected to the two larger buildings, they resembled annexes to them.
"It seems we can't get past this level without going into those two central buildings," Liang Ming said as he prepared to step onto the grass.
"Wait!" Qi Shen and Shi Qing said in unison.
Qi Shen stared at the grass, his gaze fixed on several uneven patches. Meanwhile, Shi Qing closed her eyes and gently placed her hand on her chest as if caressing the ring she wore.
"There are landmines," Qi Shen said. Immediately, Shi Qing opened her eyes and added, "There is indeed danger."
"Shi Qing can sense her way out of the maze and has now detected danger, which suggests she has a special sensitivity. As for Qi Shen, he is purely skilled and experienced, deducing it from the characteristics of the grass," Zhang Yang thought. He believed he could leap across the seven or eight meters of grass, but there was no need to rush; he would wait to see what solutions the three of them would come up with.
"Without tools, clearing the mines is going to be troublesome," Qi Shen frowned.
"Damn, this is too extreme. What if someone gets blown up?" Liang Ming shouted.
"Did you forget that you signed and left your fingerprint? Blade Training Camp allows for a five percent mortality rate," Qi Shen replied.
"Forward one, left three, right one, forward two..." At this moment, Shi Qing began to softly chant.
Liang Ming's jaw dropped. Before joining Blade Training Camp, he thought his overall abilities were quite good. However, after encountering stars like Qi Shen from Special Forces and Zhang Yang, who could toy with instructors from afar, and now this little witch Shi Qing with her miraculous sensitivity, he felt utterly inferior but was also grateful to be with them.
Once Shi Qing finished her chanting, she surprisingly started walking forward. Qi Shen focused on her feet without moving, while Liang Ming looked at Zhang Yang. Unlike them, Zhang Yang had experienced strange events and was already convinced of Shi Qing's extraordinary sensitivity. So he followed her directly while gathering his strength, hoping to minimize any potential harm to the two if something went wrong.
In the end, they passed through without incident. Zhang Yang and Shi Qing made it safely across the grass and reached the entrance of the building.
Qi Shen had memorized Shi Qing's steps and followed suit. Liang Ming trailed behind Qi Shen.
"Beautiful lightning rod," Liang Ming sighed in relief after crossing the grass and gave Shi Qing a nickname. "Damn it, is a lightning rod supposed to avoid this kind of lightning? That's pretty poor," Qi Shen thought to himself.
"We need to let those behind know that there are landmines on the grass," Shi Qing reminded them without acknowledging Liang Ming's comment.
"I say, unless you stay here as a ferryman," Liang Ming said as he glanced back. Fortunately, several people had already made it onto the path. Two individuals shouted at them: "Please tell those coming behind that there are landmines on the grass; passing through is risky!"
Hearing someone exclaim in surprise, Liang Ming shouted again, "Landmines! Did you hear that? Landmines!" After receiving a response again, he said to the three of them, "Let's go; we can't wait."
That was indeed the case.
The four discussed briefly and decided to split into two groups to enter different buildings.
When choosing teams, Qi Shen acted indifferent while Liang Ming hesitated, unsure whether to choose Zhang Yang or Shi Qing. Zhang Yang was capable but Shi Qing could sense danger and was also beautiful. Despite thinking this way in his mind, Liang Ming still put on a half-hearted gentlemanly demeanor: "Ladies first; you choose from the three."
As a result, Shi Qing pointed directly at Zhang Yang without hesitation and said to Qi Shen and Liang Ming, "The building on the left should be safer; I suggest you go that way."
Qi Shen glanced at Liang Ming and surprisingly extended his hand, saying, "Buddy, I have just one request: if you can keep quiet, please do."
"In critical moments, I know what to do." Although Liang Ming initially did not want to team up with Qi Shen, given the circumstances and the fact that they were about to move forward together, he became serious. The two then headed toward the building on the left.
"Let's go." Zhang Yang gestured and walked toward the building on the right with Shi Qing.
Zhang Yang pushed open the large door of the building, revealing complete darkness inside. The two stood at the entrance for a moment to adjust before gradually getting a sense of their surroundings. "The stairs are on the right side of the entire hall; it's quite spacious in the middle, so there shouldn't be any facilities. Follow me to the bottom of the stairs," Shi Qing said before walking to the right.
Just as they took a few steps, a loud explosion suddenly rang out as several flashbangs detonated above the hall. Blinding light flooded the area, leaving only some shadows in the concealed spots beneath the stairs; otherwise, it was all bright light in the hall.
Even though Zhang Yang reacted quickly, he felt nothing but a blinding white light even with his eyes closed. He had no time to think; he grabbed Shi Qing beside him and leaped toward the stairs based on her directions. After landing next to the stairs, Zhang Yang released his grip and rolled down to the bottom of the stairs. Shi Qing followed suit and rolled down as well. In that darkness, their accurate coordination could be attributed to luck.
Both kept their eyes closed, but tears began to flow from them. The sudden incident left them gasping for breath once they calmed down.
At that moment, they heard several loud bangs followed by thick choking smoke rapidly filling the hall.
