Just as Xin Yi was about to finish his fourth bottle of beer, a commotion suddenly erupted downstairs. He vaguely heard Shu Rui's voice shouting, "What do you want?! My husband is upstairs!"
Hearing this, Xin Yi jumped up in anger. Who the hell had the guts to provoke him, Xin Yi, by messing with his wife? If you want to pick a fight, fine, but don't go looking for trouble! He was already in a bad mood, and this was just asking for self-destruction.
Xin Yi quickly walked to the railing on the second floor and looked down. He saw a group of colorful young men confronting Shu Rui and her two friends. One guy with green hair was spitting as he spoke, his expression extremely arrogant, while the others around him were grinning lewdly, clearly enjoying themselves. Shu Rui stood with her hands on her hips, saying something, while Lijie and Roxy stood coldly beside her. Although Xin Yi knew that with Lijie and Roxy there, they wouldn't be at a disadvantage, he couldn't help but feel furious and strode down the spiral staircase.
The noise was overwhelming and irritating. Xin Yi first approached the bar and said to the DJ who was bobbing his head while operating the machine, "Could you turn down the music a bit?"
The DJ didn't hear clearly and pointed to his ear, shouting back, "What did you say? I can't hear you!"
Xin Yi didn't want to waste any more time talking to him. He jumped over the bar and punched the DJ's machine, causing the booming noise to abruptly stop. Ignoring the stunned DJ, he leaped back over the bar and headed toward Shu Rui and her friends.
A disco bar is inherently an unstable place where small conflicts often arise at night. So when Shu Rui confronted those young men, aside from a few onlookers enjoying the drama, most people continued dancing wildly. However, Xin Yi's punch silenced the loud music completely, drawing everyone's attention to the situation as they quickly formed a tight circle around them.
Despite the crowd being large, it was relatively quiet compared to before. Xin Yi heard Shu Rui say, "Don't think you can do whatever you want just because there are more of you. I said I won't dance with you, so if you're smart, just get lost. Otherwise, wait until my husband comes and see how he deals with you!"
"Wow, looks like sister has quite a temper," a sleazy voice replied. "But I like wild horses. Sister, who is your husband? Let me hear his name; maybe I know him. Who knows? Maybe he can share a bed with us too, haha..."
A loud slap echoed through the air; it was clear someone had been slapped hard. The sleazy voice shouted angrily, "Damn! You dare hit me! Do you know who I am? This place is run by my brother! If you hit me today, you won't be able to walk out of here!"
Another slap followed immediately; this time before the sleazy voice could respond, a woman's cold voice said, "Those two slaps are for your mother. You're young and not learning anything good. Get lost; consider today as if we never saw you. If you keep babbling here, I'll slap you so hard even your grandmother won't recognize you!" It was Lijie's voice; she still acted that way—resorting to violence first and foremost. Xin Yi chuckled inwardly; thankfully she was gentle with him; if she acted like this all day long, life would be chaotic.
With so many people gathered around, Xin Yi couldn't push through immediately. At that moment, he heard commotion in the crowd as the sleazy voice shouted defiantly, "What the hell! You really hit me?! Brothers! Let's all go together! Grab them first and then we'll see what happens! I don't believe anyone who messes with me can get out of here!"
Suddenly, there was a series of loud crashing sounds and howls. Lijie and Roxy were effortlessly dealing with the small-time thugs, while Shu Rui was unable to protect herself. Xin Yi had already heard her cries: "Let go of me! Let go of me!" The crowd surrounding her, forming layers of onlookers, did not offer any help; instead, they occasionally burst into laughter. Now Xin Yi could finally understand the truth behind a recent news article she had read, which reported that a girl was gang-raped by three men in a public arcade, and not a single person called the police or intervened to stop those beasts. Alas, as a killer, Xin Yi was shocked; the indifference of these ordinary people was far worse than that of a killer. It was tragic—great Heavenly Pride Nation's kind-hearted citizens, the teachings of their ancestors and thousands of years of brilliant civilization were all thrown away by you!
At this moment, Xin Yi no longer felt the need to be polite to these numb walking corpses. She moved both hands simultaneously, grabbing the collars of those watching and throwing them aside, creating a path. The people she tossed aside cursed as they approached her, ready to collectively teach this disruptor a lesson. Xin Yi ignored them and continued to clear a path into the circle.
Inside the circle, Lijie and Roxy were surrounded by five or six young men each. Although they were skilled in Kung Fu, they dared not use lethal force in this situation and found themselves unable to escape for the time being. The group seemed to have noticed that Shu Rui was weaker; only three men surrounded her. Two of them had already grabbed her arms, while standing in front of her was the Green-Haired Monster who had just received two slaps from Lijie. With red handprints on both cheeks, he grimaced in pain and spat blood.
After spitting several times, the Green-Haired Monster cursed viciously: "You filthy b*tch! You hit so hard! Just wait; I'll make my Brothers take good care of you! Damn it! Ugh..." After cursing, he looked at the now restrained Shu Rui and immediately switched to a lewd grin: "Hehehe... Sister, weren't you fierce just now? Now you're helpless, huh? You look so delicate; I'll take you for my first time! Hahaha... You two, drag her over to that sofa! I'm going to put on a show today!"
"You won't get that chance," came a cold voice. It was Xin Yi, who had cleared a path and stepped in just in time to hear the Green-Haired Monster's infuriating words. Without needing to say more, just for daring to speak like that about his woman, the Green-Haired Monster would be finished today. Such scum should never have been born; if he wasn't dealt with now, it would be an affront to justice.
"Who the hell are you? Mind your own business! Don't play heroics with my Bros! That act is outdated; besides, you're no hero!" the Green-Haired Monster retorted angrily as he turned to glare at Xin Yi.
"Alright," Xin Yi replied calmly. "If I don't play heroics, will you let them go?"
"Hahaha..." The Green-Haired Monster laughed exaggeratedly while holding his stomach: "Are you crazy? Did your head get caught in a door? If I let them go, what will my Brothers do? Are they supposed to come and take turns with you? Hahaha... Damn it! You're insane!"
"Exactly," Xin Yi said. "Since I won't play heroics and you won't let them go either, but I must ensure their safety, the only solution is for me to knock you down and then take them away. Is there anything wrong with that?" Xin Yi replied lightly. "Alright, I'm going to make my move."
As soon as he finished speaking, Xin Yi's figure shot forward like an arrow towards the Green-Haired Monster. He leaped nearly two meters high; while still in mid-air, his leg swung down heavily onto the Green-Haired Monster's head. The Green-Haired Monster fell without making a sound and landed flat on the floor. Xin Yi used the momentum from his body to propel himself towards the two men holding Shu Rui's arms. With both fists flying out simultaneously—one left and one right—he struck their faces with tremendous force. The two men were knocked over backward by the impact of his punches.
Shu Rui was also pulled backward by their force but saw Xin Yi transform his fists into palms as he struck down hard on their hands gripping Shu Rui's arms. With two crisp cracks sounding out loud and clear, both arms broke instantly, causing them to release Shu Rui's grip. Xin Yi then quickly gathered his arms together and caught Shu Rui as she began to fall.
"Beautiful lady, does it seem like Uncle here has developed symptoms of Parkinson's yet?" Xin Yi said as he held Shu Rui close and gently brushed aside a strand of hair covering her forehead with a smile.
Xin Yi's series of movements flowed seamlessly together; in an instant, not only had he incapacitated three attackers but he also had time to tease the beautiful girl in his arms. The surrounding onlookers stared wide-eyed in disbelief: "What is this? Is this a movie? A martial arts master? A secret agent? A royal guard? Why isn't that beauty resisting? Does hero saving beauty still work in today's society? No way! Isn't this kind of thing out of fashion now?"
"I'm fine," Shu Rui said, although he was quite enjoying being in Xin Yi's embrace. However, Lijie and Roxy were still engaged in a real-life battle with some people, so he added, "You should go help them."
The three people lying on the ground were already harmless. The Green-Haired Monster had fainted, while the other two were bleeding profusely from their noses and had broken arms, writhing on the ground like maggots in a cesspool. Xin Yi pulled over a chair for Shu Rui to sit down and then turned to walk towards the two groups attacking Lijie and Shu Rui. These guys weren't too excessive since they hadn't used weapons; they were just attacking with their bare hands. Considering this, Xin Yi decided to inflict only minimal damage on them—perhaps just dislocating an arm for each.
Several people were already down in the fighting area. Despite Lijie and Roxy being beautiful girls, they were absolutely ruthless when it came to fighting. Seeing the pained expressions of those clutching their groins on the ground, Xin Yi knew these kids were in for it. The lucky ones might just have some inflammation and could recover after a few days of saline treatment, but the unlucky ones likely had their precious eggs in jeopardy. Kids, why did you have to provoke these two female devils? It’s like bringing quail eggs to smash against a rock.
