Although he was the first secretary of the Provincial Party Secretary, this identity only held weight among officials or those who needed to curry favor with them; it might not be effective against a rogue leader like Xin Yi who rose through gangster connections. To make matters worse, she was mistaken for having a lover's quarrel with him by a Middle-Aged Nurse at the hospital! It infuriated her! With her stunning beauty, how could she possibly be matched with someone like him? Moreover, it seemed that woman he rushed to take to the hospital had an unusual relationship with him—otherwise why would he have been so anxious? She wondered what their relationship truly was: friends or lovers? Or perhaps even married? After thinking it over repeatedly, Lu Hanmeng startled herself—why did any of this matter? It must be her intense hatred for that man causing her embarrassment that led her to analyze him so thoroughly; she would deal with him properly when they met again.

Lu Hanmeng shouted angrily at Xin Yi: “What are you doing here again?! Do you enjoy obstructing traffic?! Every time I run into you it’s nothing but trouble!” As soon as those words left her mouth, Lu Hanmeng regretted them—after all, she represented law enforcement maintaining traffic order now; how could she say something like that?
Xin Yi was taken aback as well and innocently replied: “Dear police officer, it seems I just arrived without doing anything yet?”
"You! ... I was talking about last time." Lu Hanmeng said awkwardly, trying to argue.
"Oh, last time was my fault," Xin Yi replied. "By the way, I haven't received punishment for that incident yet. Also, are you... okay?"
"I... don't need you to care!" Lu Hanmeng was momentarily speechless.
Wang Jingwei heard Xin Yi call him and broke into a cold sweat. He glanced back secretly and saw that the Big Guy Giant was not next to Xin Yi. He let out a quiet sigh of relief, thinking it was best to take this opportunity to slip away quietly.
