The persistent Female Traffic Officer moved one of the blocked Jinbei Vans to the side of the road, and immediately the vehicles stuck behind began to push onto the main road where the Funeral Procession was traveling, threatening to cause even greater congestion and chaos. Within the Funeral Procession, following the military vehicle were various makeshift vehicles organized spontaneously by different units, with the majority being from the Three Tiger Group itself. What is the Three Tiger Group? Its predecessor was Longchuan's largest gang organization, the Three Tiger Hall. Most of the employees in the Three Tiger Group were former brothers from the streets, so their ability to handle emergencies was quite strong. When those in the convoy saw a vehicle entering through a blocked intersection, they realized this was pure disruption. How could they allow the funeral procession to be affected? Thus, several vehicles quickly signaled each other, turned their steering wheels, and headed toward the breached intersection, effectively sealing off the newly emerged traffic at the junction. 0

Seeing that the situation had been controlled, the vehicles behind continued to flash their lights and filled in the gaps left by a few departing cars. The drivers who had been blocked became furious and jumped out of their cars to confront those blocking the intersection. They looked ready to argue, some of them cursing under their breath. However, upon approaching the vehicles and seeing who was inside, they lost all their bravado. The occupants of those cars remained still, merely rolling down their windows and coldly staring at them. The drivers were smart enough to recognize who they could provoke and who they couldn't; these individuals clearly belonged to a category that was not to be trifled with. Just looking at their attire labeled them as "Gangsters"—bald heads, black clothing, muscular builds, faces full of roughness, and tattoos of dragons and phoenixes on their exposed skin. One even had a tattoo of a fierce scorpion on his bald head. 0

The aggressive drivers immediately deflated; one who had been cursing just moments ago suddenly turned 180 degrees in attitude and leaned toward one of the car windows with a flattering smile, saying, "Wow! Big Brother! Whose convoy is this? It's quite impressive; I've never seen such a grand procession!" 0

No one inside responded. 0

"Big Brother, may I ask how much longer this will take?" Seeing he wasn't getting any attention, he continued asking. 0

Still no response from inside. 0

Just then, the Female Traffic Officer appeared in front of the vehicle. She first saluted those inside before saying, "Comrades, you cannot park here; you are obstructing traffic!" 0

"Officer, please help us out; it will only be a few minutes before our convoy can pass. Once we get through, traffic will return to normal. If you let them out now, it will only cause more congestion and chaos. So please make an exception; who doesn't need a little convenience sometimes?" said a man in his forties from inside the car. 0

The one leading several vehicles blocking the intersection was Du Hong, one of the area leaders of the Three Tiger Group. However, he was no longer referred to as Boss Du but rather as General Du now. Although General Du had reformed under Xin Yi's guidance, many of his street habits had not diminished much over the years. The people in these vehicles were his former bodyguards; however, each now held more respectable titles like assistant or manager but were essentially still bodyguards—just a change in name without any real difference. 0

Since Boss Du had transformed into General Du, he naturally couldn't act too brazenly anymore. His words were reasonable enough that the Female Traffic Officer couldn't find fault with them; he made a valid point that letting traffic through now would indeed lead to more congestion and chaos. Thus, she found herself at a loss for words. 0

If things were as simple as that, perhaps traffic would resume in a few minutes. However, it was unfortunate that there were always those who enjoyed stirring up trouble. There are indeed people in this world who can act humble when they feel powerless but will seize any opportunity to show off their authority when they think they can assert themselves. At that moment on site stood a typical representative of such individuals. When his vehicle was blocked earlier, he had gotten out to see what was happening at the intersection. Upon seeing such an extravagant convoy, his first reaction was disbelief that government officials from Longchuan would dare flaunt such ostentation so openly. He felt compelled to find out which lower-ranking official had dared to organize such a high-profile funeral—this was clearly overstepping boundaries! If city officials behaved this way, what standards would provincial leaders follow? This was absurd! He needed to identify this oblivious lower official so he could report back to his superiors and earn some merit for loyalty. 0

However, when he spotted military vehicles among those in the convoy later on, he quickly retreated; dealing with military matters was beyond his influence or authority. He decided it was best to wait patiently instead of confronting them directly. Initially thinking that the Female Traffic Officer could resolve matters efficiently, he felt an urge to show off when he saw her seemingly being persuaded by those inside the vehicle. How could these little traffic officers lack principles? Did they really think they could act favorably just because there were no leaders present? He felt it was time for him to step in and assert himself; thus he tidied his hair in the rearview mirror before stepping out of his car and approaching not far behind the Female Traffic Officer. Clearing his throat loudly he said: "Ahem! Comrade! What's going on here? As a Traffic Police officer standing here without directing traffic—what are you doing?" 0

Suddenly, a sharp sound pierced the air behind her, reminiscent of broken tiles scraping against glass, sending chills down her spine. She turned around to see a man with glasses and a slicked-back hairstyle, known as the White-Faced Man. His hands were elegantly clasped behind his back as he looked at her with a composed yet authoritative gaze. The Female Traffic Officer couldn't help but feel amused; despite his off-putting appearance, his tone, posture, and expression were those of a typical leader. She wondered who he was, but she had never been afraid of leaders. After all, weren't they just there to put on a show? Besides signing off on documents with phrases like "read," "approved," or "agreed," what else could they do? Yet, such people insisted on acting superior, like this one before her. People often said that one's appearance reflected their character, and judging by his demeanor, he seemed like a cunning schemer trying to appear dignified—an image that made her want to laugh. 0

Though she felt like laughing, her professional demeanor kicked in. She replied seriously, "Comrade, we can only alleviate traffic pressure after the vehicles on the main road have passed. As the previous comrade mentioned, letting the vehicles blocking this area through will only worsen the congestion and chaos. So please be patient for a few more minutes." 0

"What? As a national law enforcement officer, you actually listen to what these roadblockers say? Have you forgotten your responsibilities? Which unit are you from? What is your name?" The White-Faced Man retorted angrily after hearing the Female Traffic Officer's words. 0

"Comrade, one of my responsibilities is to manage traffic flow, and that is exactly what I am doing right now. If you believe my handling of the situation is problematic, you can file a complaint against me. I am from the Longchuan City Traffic Police Brigade's Second Squad, named Lu Hanmeng, badge number 9758620. Our squad leader is Chen Jian, our brigade leader is Li Bo, and our director is Lu Jianming," she replied calmly. 0

"Alright, I remember you now—Lu Hanmeng from the Second Squad, right? I will report you to your superiors!" The White-Faced Man was furious that a mere traffic officer dared to disregard him. He exclaimed with indignation, "Do you know who I am?" 0

"Of course I do," the Female Traffic Officer replied lightly. 0

"You know?" The White-Faced Man was taken aback; how could she speak to him this way if she knew who he was? Shouldn't anyone aware of their identity treat him with utmost respect? Confused, he asked, "Do you really know who I am?" 0

"Yes," the Female Traffic Officer smiled and responded. "Aren't you just another driver stuck in traffic like everyone else?" 0

With her words hanging in the air, laughter erupted from those around them. 0

"You!" The White-Faced Man was left speechless; he realized he had been mocked by a mere traffic officer. With his status alone, he could intimidate someone like her into silence. He darkened his expression and said slowly, "Let me tell you! I am Wang Jingwei, the First Secretary of Secretary Qiao of the Provincial Committee!" After declaring this with pride and authority, he scanned the crowd for their astonished expressions. 0

As expected, the reaction was immediate; those who had been laughing moments ago suddenly froze in shock. Their expressions shifted to admiration and respect—more so fear—a common person's reverence for power. This reaction brought Wang Jingwei immense satisfaction; all his efforts to show off were for moments like this. It felt incredibly gratifying! However, just as Wang Jingwei reveled in his self-satisfaction and floated on cloud nine, an untimely cold voice interrupted him: "Sorry, but at this moment, you are just another driver stuck in traffic like everyone else." 0

With that remark, the crowd fell silent; it was Du Hong inside one of the cars who led the applause. Seeing their boss applaud first encouraged several bodyguards in other vehicles to join in as well. "Well said!" some burly men chimed in enthusiastically. Du Hong had always despised those who abused their power, and it was clear that this Secretary Wang fit that description perfectly. Why wouldn't he take advantage of this opportunity to strike while the iron was hot? 0

"You... who are you?" Wang Jingwei's face turned red and then pale with anger, while he secretly planted a malicious thought in his mind, intending to find out who they were and look for an opportunity to deal with them slowly. 0

"We? We are members of the Three Tiger Group," a big man replied. 0

"Three Tiger Group, good! Three Tiger Group! Hahaha... it's the Three Tiger Group again!" After hearing this, Wang Jingwei laughed instead of getting angry, repeating "Three Tiger Group" three times. 0
