In Longchuan City, the leaders of the twenty-seven groups preparing to sweep the Three Tiger Hall received a call from Lufei, informing them that the situation had changed and the operation was canceled. They were instructed to return to their respective places. Many of them had come from other regions to assist and did not directly take orders from Lufei, so they began calling their boss. However, they were informed by the boss's bodyguard that he could not take their calls at that moment. Consequently, they all believed Lufei's claim that "the situation has changed." Originally, they should have been enjoying time with women, but instead, they were reluctantly called to fight, and upon hearing this news, they scattered. 0

After hanging up the phone, Lufei looked up at Xin Yi, who had a wicked expression on his face, and nervously asked, "Brother Xin, can we be let go this time?" Lufei already knew who he was dealing with—the legendary figure who had killed Yin Er and made Hong Tianhu vomit blood. What an impressive person! Yet just moments ago in the hall, he had acted tough in front of him; thinking back on it made him feel terrified. Especially when he saw Vulture being brought in by several people, he realized that this time he had completely failed. Even if the twenty-seven groups outside wiped out the Three Tiger Hall's territory, he would still not be able to leave. Thus, he had no choice but to follow Xin Yi's orders and make those calls. 0

"Oh, of course. I, Xin Yi, keep my word," Xin Yi said lightly. 0

"Thank you! Thank you, Brother Xin!" Lufei was almost bowing down to Xin Yi. Xin Yi looked at this coward before turning to the people of Three Tiger Hall and said, "Then these two will be handed over to you." 0

"Ah! Brother Xin, no, Master Xin! Didn't you promise me that after making the call I would be let go?" Lufei panicked. 0

"Yes, I have let you go. Now it's the people from Three Tiger Hall who want to trouble you; what does that have to do with me?" Xin Yi said shamelessly before turning and leaving the room. 0

A howl of despair echoed in the room as Lufei and Bald Brother lamented. 0

In the hall, there were still a few armed individuals left unhandled, posing a potential danger that Xin Yi needed to eliminate immediately. 0

Entering the hall, Xin Yi casually sat down in Lufei's previous spot. The few subordinates of Lufei noticed their boss hadn't returned and were puzzled. One asked, "Hey! Where's our Brother Fei? Wasn't he with you?" 0

"Ah? Right, he was with me," Xin Yi replied. 0

"Then why didn't we see him come back with you?" 0

With a laugh, Xin Yi sprayed out a mouthful of red wine he had just sipped, splattering it on the questioner’s face. The man looked shocked: "Dude, are you stupid? Who said that if you go out together you have to come back together?" 0

The person splattered with wine felt as if covered in blood and was about to get angry when he paused at Xin Yi's words. Indeed, who said they had to return together? But then he realized that this guy was clearly messing with him. His face turned green with rage as he swung a punch at Xin Yi's face: "You’re asking for death!" 0

Xin Yi casually reached out and seized the man's wrist. With a sharp crack, the wrist broke instantly. The man let out a half-scream before feeling a sharp pain at the back of his neck; before he could finish his cry, he fainted and collapsed onto the table. Seeing this situation unfold, several others reached for their waists. Xin Yi knew exactly what they intended to do; there was no way he would wait for them to draw their weapons. In an instant, he dashed forward like a shadow in a gust of wind. After several muffled thuds, all five remaining men also fell onto the table. 0

Fortunately, everyone in the hall was engrossed in their drinking and did not notice what was happening over here. Xin Yi waved his hand for several members of Three Tiger Hall to come over and carry away those who had already fainted. 0

At this table, apart from Lufei, only the expressionless beauty, President Shu, remained. She was staring intently at Xin Yi, but this time her face and eyes were filled with confusion. Xin Yi nodded and smiled at her before turning to leave. 0

"Wait." President Shu's voice was crisp, completely contrasting with her beautiful but expressionless face. 0

"Oh?" Xin Yi turned back and smiled, "What can I do for you, President Shu?" 0

"Why are you helping Three Tiger Hall?" President Shu resumed her usual expressionless demeanor. 0

"Oh? Are you interested in this, President Shu?" Xin Yi did not answer directly and instead smiled while asking back. 0

"I heard that Yin Xinli was killed by you?" President Shu asked again. 0

Xin Yi felt a pang of unease; it seemed this woman was not just an ordinary businessperson but someone who knew about this matter. "What kind of answer does President Shu want to hear?" Xin Yi put away his smile. 0

"Of course, I want to hear the truth, but you also have the right not to answer." 0

"The truthful answer is that I didn’t kill him myself, but I did cause his death. Is President Shu satisfied with that answer?" 0

President Shu paused slightly; she was processing the meaning behind Xin Yi's words. Then she calmly replied, "Thank you!" 0

"Thank me?" This time it was Xin Yi who was confused. "What do you mean, President Shu?" 0

"It's nothing. You can go now. By the way, I didn't see anything tonight." After saying this, President Shu turned away and no longer paid attention to Xin Yi. 0

At that moment, Lijie approached and took Xin Yi's hand, saying, "Hong Tianhu is looking for you." After saying that, she glanced at President Shu, but President Shu did not turn around and her expression remained unseen. 0

Back at their seats, Hong Tianhu and Huang Mang had already finished their toasts and returned. Xin Yi nodded slightly at them to indicate that everything was going according to plan. Hong Tianhu and Huang Mang both breathed a sigh of relief. Hong Tianhu leaned closer to Xin Yi and said, "Brother Xin, thank you! In a moment, I have something to announce. No matter what I announce, don't be surprised." 0

"Okay, Third-in-Command, rest assured; my heart is fine." Xin Yi joked lightly. To be honest, he didn't understand what Hong Tianhu meant, but how much did it really matter to him? He decided to let it be. 0

Hong Tianhu chuckled lightly, turned back, and began to whisper with Huang Mang. At first, Huang Mang looked surprised, then nodded in agreement, and finally showed a look of certainty, occasionally glancing at Xin Yi, leaving Xin Yi puzzled. 0

After several rounds of drinks, Hong Tianhu was in high spirits, continuously toasting with the guests at his table. His already flushed face was now even more radiant. Xin Yi intended to take her leave, but since Hong Tianhu mentioned that there would be an announcement soon, she felt it would be impolite to leave early and decided to wait while slowly eating her meal. 0

Finally, as the guests finished their meals, Hong Tianhu stood up, reached out with both hands—one grabbing Huang Mang and the other grabbing Xin Yi—and headed toward the podium. Xin Yi didn’t ask anything; she thought it was fine to go along since she had nothing to fear. 0

Once they reached the podium, Huang Mang cleared his throat and spoke into the microphone: “Ladies and gentlemen, please quiet down. Our Third-in-Command has something to announce!” 0

The previously noisy hall fell silent. Hong Tianhu stepped forward and addressed the microphone: “First of all, I want to thank all of you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend my banquet. Thank you!” 0

“Wow!” The hall erupted in applause again. Hong Tianhu pressed his hands down to calm everyone before continuing: “Actually, there are two purposes for today’s banquet hosted by Three Tiger Hall. One is to celebrate my sixtieth birthday, and the other, more important matter is…” 0

The audience leaned forward with anticipation, eager to hear what Hong Tianhu would say about the “more important matter.” 0

“As you all know, Three Tiger Hall has not been doing well in recent years; many of our businesses are declining, and the income for our Brothers has not been guaranteed. As a result, some brothers have been working for other forces behind our backs…” 0

At this point, Hong Tianhu paused and scanned the crowd with a commanding gaze. Many members of Three Tiger Hall immediately lowered their heads. 0

“I have a list here,” Hong Tianhu said as he pulled out several sheets of paper and waved them. Instantly, there was another uproar below; those who had just lowered their heads all raised them again, looking anxiously at the papers in Hong Tianhu’s hand. He felt a sense of pride inside and continued: “However, I will not deal with the people on this list; I will hand it over to the next Third-in-Command of Three Tiger Hall!” 0

This time, it wasn’t just an uproar; people began to murmur among themselves, speculating about what Hong Tianhu meant. Even Xin Yi was somewhat confused. What exactly was Hong Tianhu up to? She glanced over at Huang Mang, who was looking at her with approval in his eyes. A thought crossed her mind—could it be? 0

Once things quieted down again, Hong Tianhu continued: “The other purpose of this banquet is to announce that I, Hong Tianhu, will step down from my position as the Third-in-Command of Three Tiger Hall! From now on, the new Third-in-Command of Three Tiger Hall will be this person beside me—Xin Yi, Brother Xin!” 0

“Ah?!” 0

“How can this be?!” 0

“Who is this person?!” 0

"He is the one who killed the Third-in-Command, isn't he?!" 0

"Is this person really okay?" 0

... 0

The crowd below was buzzing with discussions, and everyone present cast looks of approval, jealousy, doubt, disdain, or respect towards Xin Yi. 0

"Brother Xin is talented and extraordinary, and he helped the Three Tiger Hall avert a disaster. I believe he will lead the brothers of the Three Tiger Hall to achieve great things!" After saying this, Hong Tianhu turned back to Xin Yi and said, "Brother Xin, I'm sorry for making this decision without consulting you first. You don't hold it against me, do you?" 0

Xin Yi smiled lightly, "How could I? I should thank the Third-in-Command for his trust." 0

Hong Tianhu was somewhat surprised that Xin Yi showed no signs of astonishment; it seemed as if he had already known about Hong Tianhu's arrangements. This made Hong Tianhu admire Xin Yi's composure and adaptability even more. By not discussing it with him in advance, Hong Tianhu aimed to give Xin Yi no chance to refuse. In such a situation, once Hong Tianhu announced it, the matter was already settled. Even if Xin Yi wanted to decline, he couldn't embarrass Hong Tianhu in front of everyone. However, as long as he didn't refuse on the spot, once the news spread, any attempt to decline would be futile. Hong Tianhu had used this tactic because he anticipated that even if Xin Yi was unwilling, he wouldn't make things difficult for him publicly. To his surprise, Xin Yi showed no sign of surprise at all, let alone refusal, which pleased him greatly. 0

"Now, let's invite the current Third-in-Command of the Three Tiger Hall to speak!" Hong Tianhu said into the microphone. 0

Xin Yi walked up slowly, took the list from Hong Tianhu's hands, stood before the microphone and scanned the crowd. Then he raised the list high; his cold gaze made many members of the Three Tiger Hall lower their heads, especially those who were anxious about their names appearing on the list. They felt increasingly uneasy, unsure of how this new Third-in-Command would deal with them. 0
