Finally managing to leave the hospital, when Xinran caught a whiff of the fresh air outside, she couldn't help but smile. She took off the tennis cap on her head and ran her fingers through her long, dark hair. After being cooped up in the hospital room for so long, she felt like her hair was about to mold. 0

In truth, she wasn't a mischievous patient; she was fully aware that her gunshot wound wouldn't heal quickly. However, these past two days presented her with a rare opportunity to be away from Mu Shaosi, as she had overheard him on the phone saying he would return to the old house to accompany her grandfather. Since that was the case, why shouldn't she leave? Did she really want to wait for him to come back and keep watch over her day and night? 0

"Sister Xinran, are you alright?" Wujie asked as she looked at Xinran beside her. Xinran's face showed excitement at leaving the hospital, yet it also appeared pale and fragile, as if she might collapse with a gust of wind. 0

"Don't worry, I can hold on. Even if I were to fall, I wouldn't do so right at the hospital entrance..." Xinran raised an eyebrow but suddenly stopped speaking. Her eyes fixed ahead, and after a few seconds, she put her cap back on and lowered the brim. 0

"Sister Xinran, what's wrong?" Wujie asked in confusion. At first, when Sister Xinran had asked her to bring a set of plain clothes and a hat that wouldn't attract attention, Wujie found it odd. Later, seeing how Sister Xinran left the hospital in such a sneaky manner made her realize that she seemed to be avoiding someone. 0

"Wujie, don't say anything for now. Just hold my arm and let's get out of here!" Xinran said as she lowered her head and strode forward. A couple resembling a pair of lovers nearly brushed past them... 0

After walking for nearly twenty minutes in silence, Xinran finally slowed down and looked back. The hospital was now barely visible. If she hadn't been mistaken just now, she recognized that couple; although she had only met the man once, he was hard to forget. As for the woman, they had once sat across from each other in a café—how could she possibly forget her? 0

Once upon a time, she had speculated that there was some inexplicable connection between them, but then thought perhaps she was overthinking it. There were so many people in the world with the same name; besides, it was just a matter of similar names. She didn't care whether Mukai Hisashi and Mukai Saki knew each other or whether they were a couple; what mattered to her was their identities! 0

Just as she left the hospital, they entered it. One of them was Mu Shaosi's secretary while the other seemed unfamiliar with Mu Shaosi. However, Xinran recalled that day when Shinohara Ryo had mentioned something about "Shou" at the hospital to Mu Shaosi—there were many coincidences in this world, but wasn't this even more coincidental? 0

One named Shou was Mu Shaosi's subordinate who came to Japan; another named Mukai Hisashi and a woman named Mukai Saki also arrived in Japan. And that woman named Mukai Saki was indeed connected to Mu Shaosi. So how likely was it that Shou and Mukai Hisashi weren't the same person? Considering Mu Shaosi's arrangements with Shinohara Ryo or the authenticity of their previous act, perhaps Mukai Hisashi had been bait all along. She almost forgot that Mukai Hisashi was the Operations Director of Qingtian Group—the illustrious Young Master Si was none other than Qingtian's mysterious president! 0

Looking at it this way, with all these intricate connections, it would be suspicious if they didn't know each other. So now that Mu Shaosi wasn't around, did Mukai Hisashi appear at the hospital to see her? 0

Xinran's mind was filled with many possibilities. However, no matter what, she had finally left the hospital. Wujie had bought plane tickets for tomorrow night. They would find a temporary inn to stay for one night and then take the Shinkansen to Furano early the next morning. She had calculated the time carefully, leaving no extra moments to waste. After leaving Furano, they would head straight to Hokkaido Airport. She didn't know if Mu Shaosi would come looking for her after she left, but she had to prepare for the worst. 0

"Sister Xinran, I've already found a hotel. You need to rest; you can't overexert yourself, or you won't be able to hold up tomorrow!" 0

"Okay, let's go to the hotel first!" Xinran smiled helplessly, wiping the sweat from her forehead. The gunshot wound was indeed quite troublesome; her body felt weak. 0

So, the two of them took a taxi to the hotel that Wujie had booked in advance. 0

"Young Master Si, Miss Xiran has left the ward. I asked the nurse, and no one noticed when she left!" Mukai Hisashi and Mukai Saki arrived at Xinran's hospital room, only to find that Xinran was no longer there. 0

"Left?" On the other end of the phone, Mu Shaosi narrowed his eyes. He should have anticipated that this woman wouldn't stay by his side peacefully. He had only been gone for a day, and she had already successfully planned her escape from the hospital. It seemed he had underestimated her. 0

"Yes, Young Master Si. Should we send some men to look for her?" 0

"No need. I'm curious to see how she plans to escape my control!" 0
