Augus parked the car in front of an upscale private club. Before he could exhibit any gentlemanly behavior, Xinran opened the car door and got out. 0

Looking up, the club stood ten stories tall, exuding an air of elegance reminiscent of an ancient palace. Xinran knew without asking that the membership fee here started at several hundred thousand, far beyond the reach of an artist like her who struggled for a living. 0

Walking into the club with Augus, the gilded VIP card symbolized status and wealth. This was indeed the best place for her to talk without worrying about paparazzi taking photos, as they, like her, couldn't afford to enter. 0

The fifth floor housed a café with soft European-style music playing in the background. Xinran and Augus chose a secluded table by the window. The dim lighting, the flickering candlelight on the table, and the attractive man across from her made Xinran feel somewhat unreal. She turned her head lightly towards the window; the starry night sky outside was exceptionally beautiful, captivating her attention. 0

"Sir, Miss, may I take your order?" Clearly a high-end private venue, the waiter did not show any excitement at serving a famous male star; his face remained composed. 0

Xinran turned her head and said softly, "Irish Coffee, thank you." 0

"A double espresso, and please bring me an ice pack..." Augus handed the menu back to the waiter and nodded. 0

Hearing Augus request an ice pack surprised Xinran slightly. Was it for the swelling on her face? 0

"Mr. Mu, can we start our discussion?" Maintaining her composure, Xinran pretended not to care. Those in the entertainment industry were accustomed to hiding their true selves, performing different versions of themselves in various situations, none being their most authentic self. The man before her seemed to be particularly skilled at this. 0

"There's no rush; let's wait until the coffee arrives before we talk," Augus replied. 0

Xinran remained noncommittal, secretly pondering what Augus would discuss with her. Would he want her to clarify things? If he personally held a press conference to clear things up, it would benefit her. Or was he here to confront her? Given his experience, he should easily see that she had intentionally created rumors using him that day; however, he didn't seem like someone who would question her about it... 0

"Ice will help reduce the swelling on your face more quickly." 0

Xinran felt a chill on her face and looked up to see Augus holding an ice pack, reaching over the candle holder on the table to apply it to her. She was a bit flustered and quickly took the ice pack, saying, "Thank you, I can do it myself." 0

"Aren't the paparazzi saying I'm infatuated with you? Then isn't it only natural for me to help you with the ice?" Augus replied with a deep laugh, avoiding Xinran's attempt to take the ice pack. 0

"Then should I go out and invite the paparazzi in for this rare moment as a keepsake?" Xinran smiled back, using her other hand to grasp Augus's wrist and take the ice pack. 0

"You really aren't gentle at all! I've seen your performances, and those characters fooled me into thinking you were that kind of innocent woman..." Augus said, rubbing his nose. 0

"I'm deeply sorry to disappoint you! Mr. Mu, can we get to the point now? What kind of woman I am must not be a secret to you; in fact, you probably know many things about me already," Xinran said as she stirred her coffee with a spoon and took a light sip. 0

"You can call me Shaoyang; Mr. Mu sounds quite distant." 0

"No need for that; we are indeed distant..." Xinran thought to herself, If it weren't for wanting to use you to create this scandal, we would be like people from opposite ends of the Earth. 0

"Hahaha..." Augus suddenly chuckled softly, "You really are an interesting woman; this game is sure to be quite entertaining!" 0
