At this moment, the Tang Clan members were already stationed at Misty Mountain. The mountain was shrouded in mist and rain, making it hard to see clearly, while the area below was surrounded tightly.
"Master Tang, the Mu Family Villa is nearby. If we surround the mountain without informing the Mu Family, it might anger them."
"What is the Mu Family? They are merely businesspeople, with a bit more wealth than ordinary martial arts families."
"But back then, regarding the matters of the Demon Cult..."
"Have you ever seen a Mu Family member take action? They are just a name without substance!"
"The reason you haven't seen the Mu Family act is that those who have witnessed their actions are all dead, just like you." The newcomer walked towards Tang Zhen with his hands behind his back, as if strolling leisurely.
"Who are you?"
"You don't need to know."
What was he doing here?
The man’s expression was indifferent, his voice cold, as if discussing life and death was as simple as talking about the weather. Within a few breaths, there were no living souls left in this place.
Fengyin had been hiding in the shadows, looking for an opportunity to ascend the mountain. Seeing him take action now made her feel relieved; she decided that once he left, she would go home.
Fengyin couldn't help but stretch her little head to peek. Was he really going to leave? She truly needed to go home to tend to her wounds; her back was burning with pain, and she felt like she might faint. Biting her fingertip to stay awake, she continued to crouch in the dark corner.
Seeing that man glance in her direction, Fengyin quickly curled up, pulling at her wound on her back and gasping involuntarily. Please don’t notice her; please don’t see her. At this moment, she didn’t want to see him at all.
The figure waved their sleeve and eventually walked away. Just as they left, Fengyin could no longer contain herself and hurriedly left her hiding place, rushing towards Misty Mountain. She felt as if she might faint; it seemed that even the wind blowing against her back could push the pain from her wound directly into her chest. If she didn't return soon, whether she could still live to see her grandfather in his final moments was uncertain.
However, she seemed unaware that her vital energy had already been completely exhausted. Without protective energy, a person with such severe injuries would have long since fainted. Yet, despite her strong will, her body had already been overdrawn. In fact, when she swallowed that pill that gathered vital energy, she should have prepared for this outcome. Finally, halfway up the mountain, everything went dark before she collapsed into the stream below, turning the small pool of water crimson in an instant.
At that moment, a white figure appeared in the night, pulling the unconscious woman from the water with a soft sigh before carrying her on their shoulder.
Moonlight illuminated them as they moved quietly through Misty Mountain.
"Seven Nights, hurry up," someone said with a grim expression.
"Seven Nights," another voice sounded frustrated.
"Seven Nights," someone pushed the person on their back against a nearby tree.
"Ow, that hurts," came a muffled response; pain was expected.
A triumphant smile appeared on someone's face.
Mu Family Villa.
"Prepare hot water and call the doctor."
"Yes, young master."
Hibiscus brought Fengyin into the bathroom. Seeing her disheveled state lifted his spirits. Fengyin's clothes were soaked from the stream, blood mixed with mud and water dripped onto the floor. Due to excessive blood loss, her face was pale, and the mud had dried on her skin, making her look like a thousand-year-old corpse. She no longer resembled her former ethereal self.
Hibiscus reached out to rub the mud off her face and pushed aside her muddy white hair from the wound. He tore apart her clothes around the injury; while it wasn't fatal, it was gruesome, nearly slicing through her back. If not for the mud sealing it up, she might have bled to death long ago. Hibiscus clenched his fist tightly, his eyes betraying no other emotion as he tossed aside her soiled clothing.
At this moment, the hot water had already been prepared in the bath, and a fine blanket was laid by the edge of the pool. Holding Fengyin, he placed her on the blanket by the pool, then removed his clothes and stepped into the bath.
"Young Master, Doctor Mo has arrived."
"Let him wait." He frowned again, "How should I clean the knife wound, Doctor Mo?"
"In response to the Young Master, do not let it touch water."
"But it has already touched water?" Hibiscus asked while washing Fengyin's white hair.
"Then let me treat it as soon as possible."
"You mean I can't wash it? What about all the dirt and sand in the wound?"
"I would prefer to clean it myself."
"Yourself?" Hibiscus frowned, "No, you said I should do it."
"Isn't it the Young Master who is injured?"
"No."
Doctor Mo's face turned red; it turned out to be a lady.
He then took out some medicine from his medical box and placed it beside the screen.
"Young Master, first apply this powder to the wound; it's essential to stop the bleeding for the young lady."
"She has stopped bleeding."
Doctor Mo felt embarrassed; how could he diagnose without seeing the patient?
"Young Master, place this medicine packet in hot water and wait a moment. Then you can use a cloth to clean the lady's wound."
"Someone, do as the doctor says."
"Yes, Young Master."
After a while, "Young Master, it's ready."
"Come in blindfolded."
"Yes, Young Master."
A servant entered carefully with a black cloth covering his eyes.
"Put it down and step back."
"Yes, Young Master." The servant crawled on the ground and retreated.
Hibiscus cleaned Fengyin's wound, applied medicine, and bandaged it. Although the bandaging wasn't very neat, it was better than nothing. He had initially thought about throwing her into the pond, but considering her life was hanging by a thread, he decided against it. He used a clean towel to wipe away the water stains on Jade Body, then dressed her in his inner garment and placed her on the soft couch nearby. After washing off the sweat from himself, he finally felt at ease.
"Doctor Mo, you may leave now."
"Young Master, I haven't diagnosed the lady yet. What if..."
"Go ahead, you won't die anytime soon."
Carrying Fengyin out of the bathroom, he let her lie on the bed. Seeing her still swollen lips, he seemed to recall everything that happened last night.
He dried her dripping white hair and murmured, "This is no longer the little fairy from back then; she's simply an old monster now."
"You are the old monster," Fengyin instinctively retorted. When she opened her eyes and saw Hibiscus sitting beside her, she lowered her gaze and chose not to speak.
"Your life was saved by me," Hibiscus said coldly.
Fengyin furrowed her brows at Hibiscus. "With how you treated me, I don't want to talk to you."
Hibiscus smiled. "How did I treat you? The current situation is that I saved your life."
"You, you, you!!!" Fengyin stammered for a while but couldn't articulate her thoughts. What bothered her was what happened last night.
"What about me? Don't you understand?" Hibiscus leaned down to meet her gaze.
"I! You go away; I don't want to talk to you." She intended to avoid him; after all, Seven Nights' illness had already been cured, and she no longer had any leverage over him.
