The two elders were talking with Hibiscus in the chess room. 0

"You young man, what illness does your mother have?" Yun Zhongzi still had the heart of a healer. 0

"In response to your question, senior, my mother has been feeling unwell since she accompanied my father to admire the plum blossoms in winter. She caught a chill and has been experiencing fatigue and sleeping all day." 0

"How long has it been?" 0

"It has been over five days now." 0

"From what you say, it doesn't sound like poisoning; it seems to be just a chill. It's not difficult to treat; I can go myself." 0

"What? You want my granddaughter to travel far? This..." 0

"What's wrong? Isn't being a doctor about treating patients?" 0

"That's true. What have we not experienced, right?" Old Zhang chuckled. He added, "I'll go talk to Niuniu and remind her to be careful while traveling." 0

After Old Zhang left, Yun Zhongzi waved his hand. "Young man, come play chess with me." 0

"Yes, senior." 0

"The people in the martial world are quite envious of my disciple; you should be cautious." 0

"Yes, senior." Hibiscus was unsure whether he meant her appearance or her medical skills. She lightly laughed at herself for being overly concerned and felt a sense of anticipation at the thought of traveling together. 0

"My little doll, no one in the world is worthy of her." Yun Zhongzi was either joking or serious. 0

Hibiscus replied earnestly, "What you say is absolutely correct, Senior." 0

"Niuniu, your master wants you to go down the mountain to help that little benefactor's mother. You must take it seriously and make sure to heal her." 0

Fengyin nodded. 0

"Niuniu, do not be afraid in front of others." 0

Fengyin raised her head, revealing a pair of timid eyes. They were just like the trembling gaze from seven years ago. Old Zhang knew this request was a bit difficult for her. 0

"Niuniu, your master hasn't taught you the Disguise Technique well yet. Remember to wear your veil when you go out; girls must be extra careful." 0

Fengyin nodded. 0

"Pack some clothes; don't always wear white. It's too eye-catching and can attract unwanted attention. Mute Mother has been gone for seven years; you can wear other colors now." 0

Fengyin nodded, wondering if she should tell Grandpa about her mother. 0

"This trip will be a bit far, but you'll be back in just a few months. I will go check on Mute Mother for you." 0

"Grandpa, are there really immortals in this world?" 0

"What do you mean there aren't? We are here after all," Old Zhang said dismissively. 0

Fengyin nodded. 0

"Make sure everything is packed and double-check. You're old enough now; you should pay attention to matters concerning young ladies." 0

"What matters?" 0

"Go down the mountain and ask Landlady," Old Zhang waved his hand and walked out. The two old men had raised their granddaughter to this age. 0

Thinking about bringing some herbs for Lin Jie to help with her pregnancy, he began to prepare in the pharmacy. 0

By late at night, Yun Zhongzi was tired, and with Fengyin's urging, he finally let Hibiscus go rest. Fengyin took Hibiscus to the guest room, prepared hot water by the bed for him to soak his feet, and then realized he didn't have a servant with him. 0

So she knelt down, pretending to take off Hibiscus's boots. 0

"Hibiscus" was about to say something about propriety but remembered they had already crossed that line. He froze for a moment, just in time to see Fengyin looking up at him with confusion and shyness. 0

He could only smile and let her be. 0

Fengyin waited for Hibiscus to finish soaking his feet, then made the bed before carrying the wooden basin out. The fragrant air lingered as she hurried away. Unlike Fengyin, who still looked youthful, Hibiscus was already an 18-year-old young man, full of youthful infatuation. Even though he seemed like a celestial being descended from the heavens, he could not escape the entanglements of the mortal world and its grievances. However, his upbringing prevented him from being too forward or presumptuous. 0

Today, Fengyin wore a pink long dress adorned with buttons shaped like butterflies, making her look like a peach blossom fairy—truly breathtaking. She also wore a pink sheer veil that only revealed her shy and timid eyes. At this moment, Old Zhang, Yun Zhongzi, and Hehe were seeing them off. 0

"Niuniu, being out in the world is different from before. You need to be more cautious about everything," Old Zhang kept saying while checking if everything was prepared. "Oh dear, what kind of master is this? My Niuniu has trained for seven years without any weapon for self-defense." Old Zhang looked at Fengyin, who appeared delicate and fragile. 0

She knows martial arts? Hibiscus raised an eyebrow in surprise as he watched them say their goodbyes. 0

"Your grandfather is right. If others don't offend me, I won't offend them. But if someone does offend you, don't be too soft-hearted. If you can't fight, just run away." 0

"Yeah, Niuniu, if you can't win, just leave. Throw some softening powder or dispelling powder; if it's a bad guy, poison them." 0

Hibiscus found it somewhat amusing. Were they going to see a doctor or start a fight? 0

"Alright, it's getting late. Grandfather, I understand." 0

"You should take Hehe with you. I'm really worried." 0

"Nonsense, Hehe only knows how to eat; what can she do?" Yun Zhongzi waved his hand, signaling them to go down the mountain, ignoring Hehe who was barking at him. 0

"Grandfather, take care of yourself." 0

After all, she was still a little girl. It was her first time leaving home, and not far into the journey, tears welled up in her eyes. Fengyin lowered her head and quietly wiped away her tears with a handkerchief. She remembered something. 0

"Young Master, here." Fengyin took out the cleaned handkerchief from her sleeve and returned it to Hibiscus. Hibiscus accepted it and lowered her head again, softly murmuring a thank you. 0

"The scenery of Misty Mountain is truly beautiful," Hibiscus praised. 0

Fengyin merely nodded and remained silent. When they reached the stream, she reminded him to be careful of the mist. Seeing her timid demeanor, Hibiscus assumed she had grown up in the mountains and wasn't good at talking to people. Who would have thought that such a lovely woman, like a lily flower, had endured such hardships? 0

Suddenly, amidst the mist in the mountains, they spotted a man in black lying on the path beside them. He must have come up the mountain seeking medical help but got lost in the fog. The mist of Misty Mountain seemed harmless, but some areas were infused with strange poisons by Yun Zhongzi, creating this deadly natural barrier. With the heart of a healer, Fengyin rushed over and saw that the man in black was gravely injured with both internal and external wounds and signs of poisoning. He was barely hanging on to life. She quickly placed a white pill into his mouth; it dissolved instantly upon contact. Soon after, the man's pale face regained an abnormal flush due to the effects of the poison and weakness. 0

"Young Master, wait for me here for a moment." 0

"Don't worry, lives are at stake." 0

Sure enough, after a while, Fengyin arrived gracefully. 0

Hibiscus smiled slightly, "Did you save him?" 0

"Master is currently administering acupuncture to expel the poison; he should be fine," Fengyin reported truthfully. 0

As they approached the city gate, they saw Lin Ke looking around, seemingly having spotted them. He ran over. 0

"Young Master, it was hard to find you." 0

"Thank you for your effort." 0

Lin Ke glanced at the girl accompanying the Young Master. Knowing that it was inappropriate to ask questions, he simply mentioned the bundle in Hibiscus's hand. 0

"Young Master, are we heading back to the inn?" 0

"Yes, let's notify the other courtyard shortly and have them start the construction." 0

"Understood, Young Master." 0

"Let's tidy up and prepare a carriage to head home." 0
