In the afternoon, Rek returned to Dawn City and bought some small equipment at the weapon shop, nearly spending all his savings and painfully purchasing a few special items.
Rek was preparing for the night when he would face Alice and the War God System Feather, who were no longer as he had expected. When Alice opened her eyes in the afternoon, she gave Rek the impression of a cold-blooded killing machine, a ruthless warrior who had taken countless lives of Alien Species. That feeling was even more terrifying than facing Alien Beings.
Rek found a rented inn and went to sleep.

At night, a frail figure with a covered face and carrying a small bag appeared in the grass near the back door of the Sunshine Welfare Institute, carefully hiding. This was Rek.
The night wind was cold, and insects buzzed around him, but Rek remained motionless in the bushes. This environment was much better compared to what he would face in the future while evading Alien Species.
At half past eleven, a shadow flashed by. Rek saw Alice, dressed in a black doll dress, effortlessly jump over the two-meter-high wall of the welfare institute and stand not far from him.
Seeing Alice's agile movements, Rek sadly realized that if he faced her head-on, he would have no chance of winning!
"Seriously? I finally crossed back to the past thinking I could unlock some special abilities, and now even a little girl has become this powerful? Where's the justice in that?" Rek complained to himself.
"Let's go!" Alice said softly. It was unclear whether she noticed Rek hiding in the bushes as she quickly darted away toward the distant forest.
Watching Alice's disappearing figure, Rek had no choice but to get up quickly. He couldn't afford to worry about danger anymore and hurriedly chased after Alice.
Despite her young age, Alice moved swiftly, reaching the edge of the forest in no time and looking quite relaxed.
Rek was running at full speed behind, afraid of losing sight of Alice. Even though Rek was giving it his all to catch up, Alice had already created a distance of over ten meters that he couldn't close.
After running for about twenty minutes, Alice moved silently through the forest, as if gliding over the ground, skillfully avoiding various obstacles. Rek was desperately chasing after her, nearly in despair. Fortunately, every time Rek felt he was about to lose her, Alice would wait for him for a few seconds.
After approximately twenty minutes of running, Alice stopped in a clearing within the woods.
Rek, panting and drenched in sweat, looked at Alice, who appeared completely unfazed in front of him, wearing a little black doll dress.
Who knew how she could run so fast? At this point, fighting Alice seemed utterly ridiculous to Rek. He estimated that if Alice attacked him at her previous speed, he would be knocked down in less than ten seconds.
"Forget it, I'll just lie down!" Rek, exhausted, collapsed onto the ground.
"Hey, your physical condition is way worse than I expected. The War God System Feather will appear beside me in a few minutes. If I had known you were this weak, I wouldn't have sought you out; I was fooled by your calm demeanor during the day.
Hey! I'm talking to you. Don't lie down; run! You need to get far away to survive. With your physique, the War God System Feather won't choose you as a Host. If you stay here, you'll be killed by the frenzy that occurs when the feather first parasitizes my body." Alice walked over to where Rek lay on the ground and kicked him lightly with her small foot.
"I'm too tired to get up. Why don't you just go further away? Maybe if I lie here like this, you'll judge me harmless when the War God System Feather goes into a frenzy after parasitizing you," Rek tried to stand but found himself completely drained of energy and said helplessly.
Now regretting his decision, Rek realized he had just crossed over and his body was still that of an untrained individual from before. It was nothing like the body he would have developed after years of training in a post-apocalyptic future. After chasing Alice for over twenty minutes, he was utterly exhausted. All he could do was hope that a few special items in his backpack would prove useful.
"I’m done with you; it's too late now. The War God System Feather is about to appear. If you want to die, then go ahead!" Alice said helplessly. Suddenly, a crack resembling sunlight refracting appeared above her head, and half a white feather floated down from the crack.
It slowly drifted towards Alice, who resigned herself to standing there waiting for the descent of the half white feather.
Lying half a meter away on the grass, Rek saw the legendary War God System Feather appear.
This was also Rek's first time seeing the War God System Feather in person. In his previous life, those who encountered the War God System Feather had a high chance of dying, with only a few lucky ones escaping quickly or being severely injured.
Rek quickly took out a small white rubber-insulated box from his backpack. He opened the box, which contained a milky-white Exotic Energy Crystal about the size of a fingertip.
When this milky-white energy crystal appeared, the War God System Feather, which was originally drifting towards Alice, paused in mid-air, hesitated for a moment, and then changed direction, floating towards Rek instead.
"It seems the rumors about the underground forces of the alliance were not wrong. The initial War God System Feather urgently needs energy, especially this kind of non-attribute Exotic Energy Crystal; it is the favorite of the War God System," Rek thought as he quickly opened his mouth and placed the energy crystal inside.
Alice looked at Rek's actions in surprise, as well as at the War God System Feather, which had shamelessly chosen to float towards the frail boy lying on the ground instead of her, who was destined for greatness.
Alice could hardly believe it. After countless cycles of fate and trying various methods to escape to many locations, she had never been able to evade the parasitism of the War God System Feather. Now, unexpectedly, a small initial non-attribute Alien Species crystal had caused the War God System Feather to drift away from her.
The War God System Feather floated to Rek's mouth and directly penetrated through as if Rek's tightly closed teeth did not exist.
"Wait, I remember from the secret history of the alliance's underground forces that when the War God System Feather chooses a host to parasitize, there will be a prompt sound in the host's mind. But now there is no sound at all. It seems this feather wants to play tricks and absorb the non-attribute Alien Species crystal first before parasitizing Alice! Damn it!" Rek suddenly realized.
Rek quickly swallowed the non-attribute energy crystal forcefully. Fortunately, it was not large, but the process made Rek's throat hurt. Although this couldn't stop the War God System Feather from absorbing the energy crystal, it could buy him some time.
The War God System Feather effortlessly penetrated into Rek's stomach. Within seconds, the non-attribute Exotic Energy Crystal was completely absorbed by the feather, which had already floated halfway out of Rek's abdomen.
