"Chen Shuying, didn't you say you had nothing to do with my son? Then what are you doing here?" Granny Wang questioned. 0

"Granny Wang, I'm just here to see the excitement," Chen Shuying replied. 0

"What excitement?" Granny Wang asked suspiciously. 0

"Just wait and see," Chen Shuying said mysteriously. 0

Granny Wang didn't believe Chen Shuying's words and thought she was just jealous that her son had found a new wife. 0

"Old woman, I advise you to be sensible and leave here quickly, or else Baoli will get angry," Granny Wang threatened. 0

"Granny, why is it so noisy here?" Qian Baoli suddenly came out and asked loudly. 0

"Baoli, it's nothing, just a crazy woman," Granny Wang hurriedly explained. 0

"A crazy woman?" Qian Baoli asked in confusion. 0

"Yes, she is my former daughter-in-law. Now that she sees you with my son again, she's come to cause trouble," Granny Wang deliberately slandered Chen Shuying. 0

"Oh, so that's how it is," Qian Baoli said, realizing the situation. 0

"Yes, Baoli, don't listen to her nonsense," Granny Wang advised. 0

"I know, mother-in-law," Qian Baoli replied obediently. 0

Chen Shuying watched as Granny Wang and Qian Baoli played off each other and found it amusing. Granny Wang surely didn't know that Qian Baoli was already aware of her son's situation and was still slandering her in front of Qian Baoli. 0

"Mother-in-law, what does your former daughter-in-law want from you?" Qian Baoli asked deliberately. 0

"Oh, it's all about money," Granny Wang complained. 0

"Huh? She wants money?" Qian Baoli feigned surprise. 0

"Yes, I mean, she's just a country woman. Besides giving birth, she can't do anything else. She doesn't do housework well and earns so little," Granny Wang grumbled. 0

"Mother-in-law, you're right," Qian Baoli agreed. Although she already knew about Wang Changgui's situation, she pretended it was the first time she had heard of it. 0

"Right? Baoli, you understand," Granny Wang said happily. 0

"Mother-in-law, everything you say is correct," Qian Baoli flattered. Although she looked down on Granny Wang from the bottom of her heart, she had to act obediently for her own purposes. 0

"Baoli, I see you are a good child. Why don't you find a time to collect the certificate?" Granny Wang suggested. She was eager to have Qian Baoli become her daughter-in-law as soon as possible to avoid any prolonged uncertainty. 0

"Mother-in-law, my family wants me to decide on my own regarding marriage," Qian Baoli said shyly. Although she was extremely excited inside, she maintained a calm facade. 0

"Baoli, what do you mean?" Granny Wang asked excitedly. 0

"Mother-in-law, I am willing," Qian Baoli said softly. 0

"Oh, that's wonderful!" Granny Wang exclaimed with joy. 0

"Mother-in-law, I will head back now," Qian Baoli said. 0

"Alright, alright, you hurry back," Granny Wang urged. 0

Qian Baoli turned and walked towards the house, a proud smile appearing at the corners of her mouth. 0

Granny Wang watched Qian Baoli's retreating figure, feeling delighted as if she could already see a bright future ahead. 0

Chen Shuying looked at Granny Wang's smug expression with disdain; she thought Granny Wang was foolish for treating a ticking time bomb as a treasure. 0

"Granny Wang, if you have nothing else, I will take my leave," Chen Shuying said. 0

"Go on, go on," Granny Wang replied impatiently. She had no time to deal with Chen Shuying; all her thoughts were focused on Qian Baoli. 0

Chen Shuying sneered and left the Wang household with Xiao Liang. 0

On the way home, Xiao Liang couldn't help but ask, "Mom, who is that lady?" 0

"Xiao Liang, that lady is Dad's fiancée," Chen Shuying explained. 0

"Mom, is Dad going to marry that lady?" Xiao Liang asked. 0

"Maybe," Chen Shuying sighed. Although she had decided to cut ties with Wang Changgui, seeing him with another woman still hurt her feelings. 0

"Mom, let's go home," Xiao Liang said. 0

"Okay, let's go home," Chen Shuying replied gently, patting Xiao Liang's head. 0

That night, Chen Shuying lay in bed tossing and turning unable to sleep. The images of Wang Changgui and Qian Baoli kept flashing through her mind; their intimate moments made her heart ache. 0

"Mom, why are you crying?" Xiao Liang suddenly asked. 0

"Xiao Liang, Mom isn't crying," Chen Shuying denied. 0

"Mom is lying; you're already shedding tears," Xiao Liang said. 0

"Xiao Liang, Mommy's just having some discomfort in her eyes," Chen Shuying said, trying to cover up. 0

"Mommy, do you miss Daddy?" Xiao Liang asked. 0

"Xiao Liang, Mommy doesn't miss him," Chen Shuying replied. 0

"Mommy, if you miss Daddy, I'll take you to find him," Xiao Liang said. 0

"Xiao Liang, I really don't miss him," Chen Shuying emphasized. 0

"Oh," Xiao Liang responded quietly and then fell silent. 0

Chen Shuying looked at the ceiling, her mood unsettled for a long time. 0

In the following days, Chen Shuying packed things at home with Xiao Liang, preparing to go to work in town. 0

On Monday morning, Chen Shuying woke up early. After washing up, she took Xiao Liang to town. 0

The Textile Factory is located on the east side of town, not too far from Chen Shuying's home. 0

When they arrived at the entrance of the Textile Factory, they found a few people standing there, engaged in conversation. 0

"Shuying, you're here," the village chief greeted with a smile. 0

"Village chief, you're here too," Chen Shuying replied. 0

"Shuying, these are the heads of the Textile Factory," the village chief introduced. 0

"Hello," Chen Shuying said politely. 0

"Comrade Chen, welcome to our Textile Factory," a middle-aged man wearing glasses said. 0

"Thank you," Chen Shuying expressed her gratitude. 0

"Comrade Chen, your job is to oversee the warehouse," the middle-aged man explained. 0

"Okay, I understand," Chen Shuying nodded. 0

"Comrade Chen, your office is this way; please follow me," the middle-aged man said. 0

"Alright, thank you for your help," Chen Shuying replied. 0

The middle-aged man led Chen Shuying to an office that was simply furnished with a desk, a chair, and a bed. 0

"Comrade Chen, this is your office and rest area," the middle-aged man said. 0

"Okay, thank you," Chen Shuying said. 0
"Comrade Chen, if you need anything, feel free to find me," the middle-aged man said. 0
"Alright, I understand," Chen Shuying replied. 0
