Chen Shuying was grabbed by her hair by Granny Wang, causing her to nearly cry from the pain.
"Let go of me," Chen Shuying said in agony.
"I'll kill you," Granny Wang replied fiercely.
"Let go of my mom!" Xiao Liang shouted anxiously from the side.
"You little bastard, get away from me," Granny Wang cursed.
"You..." Xiao Liang was left speechless by her words.
He gritted his teeth, stepped forward, opened his mouth, and bit down on Granny Wang's hand.
"Ouch, that hurts!" Granny Wang cried out in pain.
"Let go of me!" she shouted while trying to pull her hand away.
But Xiao Liang held on tightly without letting go.
Seeing her son protect her like this filled Chen Shuying with deep emotion.
Seizing the opportunity, she raised her hand and slapped Granny Wang three times.
The sound of the slaps echoed as Granny Wang was left stunned.
"You... you actually dared to hit me," Granny Wang said, covering her face and feeling wronged.
"I'm hitting you," Chen Shuying said fearlessly.
"You... you shameless woman, how dare you hit me, boo hoo..." Granny Wang cried.
"Hmph! You deserve it," Chen Shuying scoffed.
"Everyone look! She actually dared to hit me, boo hoo..." Granny Wang complained to the surrounding Fellow Villagers.
However, the Fellow Villagers looked at her as if she were a monkey, some even laughing.
"Haha... well done," one older man said.
"You... you bunch of bastards," Granny Wang fumed with anger.
She no longer cared about her pride, pulling hard to try to get her hand out of Xiao Liang's mouth. Xiao Liang was tugged so hard that his gums bled, but he still refused to let go.
“Xiao Liang, let go quickly, don’t damage your teeth,” Chen Shuying urged anxiously.
“Mom, I’m fine. I’m helping you teach this bad person a lesson,” Xiao Liang mumbled.
“Xiao Liang, be good and let go. Aunt Xiaoxiao and Uncle Zhao are coming back soon; it won’t be good if they see this,” Chen Shuying persuaded.
“But…” Xiao Liang still wouldn’t release his grip.
“Xiao Liang, listen to your mom and let go quickly,” Chen Shuying urged again.
“I… I understand,” Xiao Liang said reluctantly. He slowly opened his mouth, and Granny Wang took the opportunity to pull her hand out.
“Ouch, that hurts so much,” Granny Wang cried, covering her hand. Her hand had been bitten by Xiao Liang and was bleeding profusely.
“You two little brats who were born without a mother dare to treat me like this; I won’t let you off easily,” Granny Wang said fiercely.
“You're the brat,” Chen Shuying retorted.
“You… how dare you insult me!” Granny Wang exclaimed in exasperation.
“What’s wrong with insulting you? Your son is the worst of the worst,” Chen Shuying replied.
“You… you’re talking nonsense! My son is charming; all those women are fighting to marry him,” Granny Wang boasted.
“Yeah, your son is charming, and what happened? I was deceived by your son, and now he’s moved on to Li Meixiu. Haha, your son really is endlessly charming,” Chen Shuying mocked.
“Well… that’s because you’re incapable of keeping my son,” Granny Wang said.
“Yeah, I’m incapable; I couldn’t keep your son and couldn’t support him either,” Chen Shuying said sadly.
“As long as you know that,” Granny Wang said smugly.
“You…” Chen Shuying was so angry she couldn’t find words.
“Mom, don’t cry; Xiao Liang will grow up strong and help you take revenge in the future,” Xiao Liang said, clenching his fist.
“Good boy,” Chen Shuying said, patting her son’s head with relief.
"You two shameless women, how dare you curse my son? I'll beat you to death," Granny Wang said as she prepared to strike.
Seeing her rush over, Chen Shuying quickly pulled her son back.
"Granny Wang, what are you doing?" a furious voice shouted.
Everyone turned to see Zhang Xiaoxiao and Zhao Guangcai arriving.
"Zhang Xiaoxiao, you're just in time. Look at your good sister," Granny Wang accused first.
"What happened to her?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked.
"She... she made my son bite my hand. Look at my hand, it's been bitten badly!" Granny Wang said with a mournful expression.
Zhang Xiaoxiao glanced at her hand and noticed it was indeed quite serious.
"How could this happen?" she asked in confusion.
"She hit Mom first," Xiao Liang explained from the side.
"Xiao Liang, what exactly is going on?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked.
"This bad woman hit Mom first, so I bit her," Xiao Liang replied.
"I see now," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, realizing the situation.
"That's not true! They bullied me first," Granny Wang argued defensively.
"Granny Wang, stop making excuses. We all saw exactly what happened," Zhang Xiaoxiao stated firmly.
"Yes, we all witnessed it," the fellow villagers chimed in.
