Zhang Jianlin really enjoys drinking. Having lived here for such a long time, Chuyang has seen him drunk almost every day. However, the good thing is that Zhang Jianlin never acts crazy when he's drunk; otherwise, even with the good conditions here, Chuyang would have moved out long ago. 0

"Have you eaten outside?" Zhang Jianlin asked casually while sitting on a mahogany chair, taking a sip of his drink along with some peanuts, completely ignoring Firefly's earlier comment. 0

"I've eaten." On the way back, Kiddo had been clamoring for barbecue, so they had dinner at a barbecue restaurant with Lieutenant General. 0

"Alright, you take the little girl upstairs to settle in! After everything is in order, come down and have a drink with me," Zhang Jianlin said, raising his glass. 0

Although Chuyang was nominally responsible for cooking three meals a day for the two of them, Zhang Jianlin never insisted that Chuyang cook every meal. Sometimes when Chuyang was too busy to return home to cook or had eaten out like today, Zhang Jianlin wouldn't say anything. He would either skip the meal or go out to find a restaurant to eat at. In this sense, Zhang Jianlin is actually a pretty good person. 0

"Okay, Brother Zhang," Chuyang replied as he led Firefly upstairs. She seemed unable to bear the smell of alcohol and was holding her breath, nearly fainting from it. 0

His room was on the second floor, a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. It was furnished with a bed, desk, wardrobe, and various small toys scattered around—figurines, car models, building blocks, and so on. The whole room gave off the impression of being a little girl's room. 0

Don't get me wrong; Chuyang doesn't have any special preferences; it's just because of his luck and character that he has given up hope on girls of the young lady and Elder Sister level among Fleet Girls and has set his sights on Lolis instead. Since he wanted to attract Destroyers, he needed to cater to their interests. What do little girls like? Things like these toys. So every time he identified a target, the first step for Chuyang was to prepare small gifts for attracting ships. However... after such a long time, he had accumulated quite a collection of children's toys that he couldn't bear to throw away. Instead, he repurposed them to decorate his room this way. This was also in hopes that one day his luck would change and he could entice a Loli who would immediately take a liking to this place. 0

Sure enough, Firefly's reaction upon entering the room made Chuyang feel very pleased; all his efforts were worth it. 0

"Do you like it?" Chuyang asked with a smile as he watched Firefly curiously exploring the room. 0

"Mm-hmm, I like it." 0

"Just like that, if you like it, when we have our own Naval Base in the future, we can bring all these things over and put them in your room. How does that sound?" 0

"Ah!" Little Kiddo cheered, directly hugging Chuyang's legs and burying her little head in his stomach, rubbing against him. "Thank you, Brother Chu Yang, you're the best." 0

Whether Little Kiddo was speaking the truth or just flattering him, Chuyang didn't consider. However, the change in Loli over just one afternoon was truly remarkable. If at first glance she gave Chuyang the impression of a sensible elementary school student around eleven or twelve years old, now she felt more like a seven or eight-year-old. Of course, this wasn't about Loli's appearance but rather a change in her psychological age that radiated from within. It could be said that Loli's appearance had always been that of a little girl around eight or nine years old; what changed was the psychological age that emanated from her. In short, Loli appeared increasingly younger. 0

As for whether this change was good or bad, Chuyang really couldn't tell. At the very least, he thought it should be a positive change. One should display what is appropriate for their age; he wasn't the type who liked a loli body with an Elder Sister's mindset. 0

After tidying everything up and coaxing Little Kiddo to bed, Chuyang finally closed the door and quietly made his way downstairs. 0

Regarding Zhang Jianlin's invitation to have a drink together, Chuyang felt a bit curious. Having lived here for such a long time and often sharing meals at the same table, Zhang Jianlin had always drunk alone without ever asking him to join for a drink. What was different today? 0

"Have a seat!" After downing a glass of liquor, Zhang Jianlin pointed to a chair next to the coffee table for Chuyang to sit down. "Is everything arranged upstairs?" 0

"Yes, it's all set," Chuyang nodded but felt increasingly suspicious; it seemed that Zhang Jianlin had no intention of inviting him for a drink. 0

"That's good. Are you wondering how I knew that little girl is one of the Fleet Girls?" Refilling his glass, Zhang Jianlin swirled the liquor in his cup while looking at Chuyang. 0

"Uh-huh." What kind of question was this? He was an Admiral wearing an Admiral's uniform, and the little girl beside him was so cute and beautiful; wasn't it obvious? However, he decided not to argue with someone who was drunk, so Chuyang simply went along with his words and waited for more. 0

Yet Zhang Jianlin didn't follow the usual script. He took a small sip of his drink, raised the transparent glass to his eyes, and stared intently at the crystal-clear liquid inside before slowly speaking: "Yamato! Alcohol is a wonderful thing; it can make people forget all their past worries and pains... One must know that life should be enjoyed to the fullest; don't let your golden cup face the moon empty... Didn't Li Bai say it? 'Call for wine to exchange for beautiful liquor, let us together dispel ancient sorrows...'" 0

".........." Chuyang felt a chill run down his spine. Can you imagine a burly man standing before you reciting ancient poetry in an elegant manner? A man like this shouldn't be portrayed as one from martial arts novels who drinks heartily with big bowls of liquor and chunks of meat, passionately proclaiming grand statements about injustice in the world while intoxicated? In short, Chuyang felt extremely out of place. 0

"…A Jug of Wine Among the Flowers, drinking alone with no one to share..." 0

"Brother Zhang, you are drunk." 0

"I have never been drunk." Zhang Jianlin suddenly shouted, raising the empty wine bottle as if to smash it on the ground. However, when his gaze swept over the room on the second floor, he gently placed the bottle back on the table and lowered his voice, saying, "I would rather be drunk, but no matter how much I drink over the years, I just can't get drunk. Come on, I'll take you to a place." 0

Saying this, Zhang Jianlin downed the remaining wine in his cup, stood up, and turned to walk toward the door of the master bedroom in the living room. 0

Since Chuyang moved into the villa, that door had never been opened. A brass padlock hung on it, securing it tightly. 0
