"Good, very good!" Chao Feng laughed in anger, "Since you seek death so desperately, I will grant your wish!"
With that, Chao Feng controlled the black dragon and launched another attack on Xuan Shang Jun.
At the same time, the black vortex behind Xuan Shang Jun fully formed, and a terrifying suction force began to draw everything around it in, including Chao Feng and his black dragon.
"Ah—"
Chao Feng let out a reluctant roar, but ultimately was pulled into the black vortex.
Xuan Shang Jun, having used forbidden techniques, was also exhausted and fell to one knee on the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
"Master!" Mangmang exclaimed as he rushed to Xuan Shang Jun's side, supporting his swaying body.
"I'm fine..." Xuan Shang Jun shook his head, his gaze fixed on me, filled with worry and tenderness.
"I need you to be okay..." he whispered softly, as if praying for something.
Mangmang watched this scene unfold, feeling a deep sense of emotion and admiration in his heart.
I knew that the Master’s feelings for me had transcended everything.
He Mangmang closed his eyes, his tall figure crashing down as his consciousness fell into chaos. Just before he lost consciousness, he felt a warm and soft hand grasping his own; that familiar touch brought him some comfort, and a barely noticeable smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"Devil Lord!" Mangmang exclaimed, quickly reaching out to check Xuan Shang Jun's breath, only to find it weak and barely perceptible. "Devil Lord, what happened to you? Please don't scare me!"
I Mangmang opened my eyes, and a strange scene came into view. Struggling to sit up, I realized my body was weak and my head felt heavy.
"You're awake?" A voice filled with joy rang in my ears. I turned to see Mangmang looking at me with a worried expression.
" Mangmang? What happened to me?" I tried to recall what had happened earlier, but my mind was blank; all I remembered was that I seemed to have been struck by something.
"Do you remember what happened before?" Mangmang helped me sit up, her tone tinged with urgency.
I shook my head, staring blankly at Mangmang. "I only remember being with Chao Feng at Wangchuan Riverbank..." At this point, she suddenly stopped, as if recalling something terrible, her face changing dramatically.
"What about Chao Feng? How is he?" I grasped Mangmang's hand, asking anxiously.
Mangmang opened her mouth but didn't know how to respond. Seeing her hesitant expression filled me with a sense of foreboding.
" Mangmang, please tell me what happened!" My voice began to tremble; I had a feeling that what I was about to hear would be the news I dreaded most.
Mangmang took a deep breath, looked into my eyes, and said Mangmang, " Chao Feng... he was sealed by the Devil Lord using forbidden techniques."
"Sealed?" I paused for a moment before realizing what she meant and asked in disbelief, "What did you say? Xuan Shang Jun... he used forbidden techniques?"
Mangmang nodded, her eyes reddening. "The Devil Lord used forbidden techniques to seal Chao Feng in another space in order to protect you. But..."
"What is it?" My heart suddenly sank, and a bad premonition surged within me.
"But the cost of using forbidden techniques is too great," Mangmang choked out, "The Demon Lord... is now in a deep coma, and I fear..."
She did not finish her sentence, but she knew that I would understand her meaning.
I felt as if everything went dark before my eyes, and a buzzing filled my ears, as if the whole world was collapsing. I staggered to my feet and stumbled over to Xuan Shang Jun's side, looking at his pale face, my heart twisted in pain.
"Xuan Shang Jun..." I trembled as I reached out my hand, gently caressing his cheek, tears streaming down uncontrollably. "Why are you so foolish? Was it worth it for me?"
I recalled the time by Wangchuan Riverbank when Xuan Shang Jun had recklessly charged towards Chao Feng, using his body to block a fatal blow for me; I remembered his gentle gaze, warm embrace, and all those moments that made my heart flutter...
"No, I won't allow anything to happen to you!" I tightly grasped Xuan Shang Jun's hand, tears pouring down. "You promised to take me back to the Demon Realm; you can't go back on your word!"
A powerful will erupted from within me as I Mangmang closed my eyes and summoned the long-dormant Divine Power inside me. Golden light radiated from my body, illuminating the entire room.
"I will save you, Xuan Shang Jun; I will definitely find a way to rescue you!"
