The boat glided deep into the Reed Flower area, entering a vast expanse of water. In the middle of this water, there sat a figure—a person clad in a white training outfit, with hair as white as snow yet a youthful face. He sat motionless on the water's surface, like an old monk in meditation.
Not far from the elder, several black canopied boats were anchored, and on them were a few individuals, presumably members of the so-called Hongmen.
"Who is that old man? How can he sit on the water? Is he performing some kind of trick?" Many onlookers expressed their curiosity at this scene.
Peng Tianqi and Hua Yuedao, along with two others, saw the elder sitting on the water and their expressions turned grave. They stood up abruptly and moved to the edge of the boat, gazing intently.
"It’s Yan Xiaotian. Even if he turned to ashes, I would still recognize him," Luo Xiong said in a deep voice, filled with hatred.
"It really is him. I didn’t expect him to have arrived," Peng Tianqi replied solemnly, his eyes gleaming with sharpness.
Jiang Chen merely glanced at Yan Xiaotian before turning his gaze away to continue sipping his tea. To Jiang Chen, watching Yan Xiaotian sitting in the water was less interesting than observing wild ducks swimming.
Dozens of boats floated on the water, and the people aboard were buzzing with discussions. Yan Xiaotian had not appeared in Huaxia Martial Arts for forty years, so naturally few could recognize him now.
"Yan Xiaotian! I can’t believe that after all these years, you still have the guts to return to Huaxia," suddenly came a cold voice that resonated powerfully across the water, stirring waves upon its surface.
It was Luo Xiong who spoke; he was eager for a confrontation with Yan Xiaotian.
Sitting on the water and meditating, Yan Xiaotian suddenly opened his eyes. At that moment, a fierce aura radiated from him like an arrow piercing through everyone’s hearts, causing them to tremble and avert their gazes from his eyes.
"Why are only you four from the Seven Great Martial Arts Families here this time? Where are the other three?" Yan Xiaotian asked casually.
"Hmph! To deal with you, there’s no need for all of us from the Seven Great Martial Arts Families to act together. One of us is enough," Luo Xiong declared proudly from the deck of his boat.
"Luo Xiong, have you forgotten who defeated you forty years ago? You knelt before me like a pitiful worm begging for mercy. If it weren’t for my mercy back then, do you think you would still be standing here talking to me now?" A smile played at the corners of Yan Xiaotian's mouth as he spoke playfully.
The spectators were taken aback by these words. Everyone present knew Luo Xiong—the ancestor of the Luo Family and a powerhouse of the Divine Realm. For someone to make Luo Xiong kneel in defeat meant that this old man’s strength was unfathomable.
"Brother Hu Yuan, do you know who this Yan Xiaotian is?" Yue Hui asked curiously.
"I’ve never heard of him before, but his strength is formidable—very formidable," Hu Yuan replied as he observed Yan Xiaotian, feeling a deep shock. Though Hu Yuan was proud, he knew better than to act arrogantly in front of a Divine Realm expert.
"This Yan Xiaotian is an elder of Hongmen and single-handedly challenged all of Huaxia Martial Arts forty years ago. The former Seven Great Martial Arts Families were all defeated by him. It was only when Huaxia Martial Arts united that they managed to defeat him and drive him out of Huaxia," Hu Sanxiong said quietly from the side.
"So impressive!" Yue Hui exclaimed in astonishment.
"Forty years ago he could take on all of Huaxia Martial Arts by himself; now that he has returned, it seems he will stir up great waves once again within Huaxia Martial Arts," Hu Yuan said in shock, with a hint of envy in his eyes. To take on all of Huaxia Martial Arts alone was incredibly bold; he too hoped for such a day.
Yan Xiaotian's words sent ripples through the crowd. Meanwhile, Luo Xiong's anger flared at hearing them; it struck at his deepest scars and pride. Today, Yan Xiaotian had ruthlessly exposed his past humiliation—something Luo Xiong could not bear. Now a master of the Divine Realm and a martial arts giant, how could he tolerate having his shameful history brought up by Yan Xiaotian?
"Yan Xiaotian, you’re full of nonsense. Today, I will kill you and rid Huaxia Martial Arts of your menace," Luo Xiong roared, his eyes blazing with fury.
"Forty years ago, you were no match for me, and now you are even less so. Luo Xiong, I am giving you a chance. If you know what’s good for you, surrender to me, and there will still be a place for your Luo family in Huaxia Martial Arts. Otherwise, not only will it be you, but your entire Luo family will be expelled from the Huaxia Martial Arts Community," Yan Xiaotian said calmly, his tone light yet laced with dominance.
"Ridiculous, Yan Xiaotian! Don’t you know that thirty years in the east and thirty years in the west? Forty years have passed, and I have entered the Divine Realm. Defeating me won’t be so easy," Luo Xiong scoffed.
With a wave of his hand, an old servant approached, carrying a wooden box over a meter long. Luo Xiong opened the box to reveal a sword forged from Cold Iron. The blade was slightly curved, its edge shimmering like a cold moon, reflecting a faint chill.
Luo Xiong picked up the sword and swung it lightly; a blade of light sliced through the surface of the water with an imposing aura. This sword was the Luo family's ancestral treasure—the Absolute God Blade.
The Absolute God Blade was one of the top ten famous swords in Huaxia. Mastering it was no simple feat; the Luo family possessed the Supreme Blade Technique, which was left behind by the first master of the Absolute God Blade. Throughout history, only a few could truly master the Supreme Blade Technique over the span of a thousand years.
After sixty years of cultivation, Luo Xiong had finally reached the level where he could wield the Absolute God Blade effectively.
"The Absolute God Blade!"
Seeing Luo Xiong draw the legendary sword sent a jolt through the onlookers.
"I’ve heard that Elder Luo has mastered the Supreme Blade Technique. The Supreme Blade Technique is known as the pinnacle of swordsmanship; once perfected, one can slay gods and demons with a single strike. Today, we will witness it firsthand—how exhilarating!" someone exclaimed excitedly.
Holding the Absolute God Blade, Luo Xiong leaped gracefully off his boat and landed on the lake's surface. He walked on water, each step creating ripples as the blade's tip skimmed across the surface, causing it to boil with energy.
"Forty years have passed; it seems you have finally refined your family's ultimate technique, the Supreme Blade Technique," Yan Xiaotian remarked from his position on the water, smiling slightly.
"Since you know this, why not surrender quickly?" Luo Xiong replied coldly from thirty meters away in the lake.
"Do you really think that mastering the Supreme Blade Technique makes you capable of dealing with me? You are too naive. And as for your Divine Realm—it's nothing but a false Divine Realm in my eyes; it’s hardly worth mentioning," Yan Xiaotian said dismissively.
Luo Xiong's face turned pale with anger; Yan Xiaotian was even more arrogant than before, openly belittling his ultimate skill.
