Meanwhile, the two elderly men beside her seemed somewhat incredulous at the scene before them. After all, Bing Tianyi was just a kid, and despite his earlier fortune-telling, he not only didn't ruin his own reputation but also had returning customers.
After saying this, the beautiful woman forced a smile and said directly to Bing Tianyi, "Honestly, young handsome guy, it's only a matter of time before I break up with Ajie. However, I want you to help me see if I will have a future with my next boyfriend."
"Please tell me his name and his home address," Bing Tianyi replied straightforwardly.
"Sure, do you want me to write it down for you?" the woman asked.
Bing Tianyi smiled and said, "That would be great."
As they spoke, Bing Tianyi handed her a piece of paper and a pen. Once she passed them back to him, he took a glance and began to quietly chant as he had done before.
The woman clasped her hands tightly in front of her chest, her face full of anticipation as she watched the scene unfold.
Before long, as Bing Tianyi tossed five copper coins onto the ground, a look of joy first appeared on his face, followed by an expression of helplessness.
Seeing this, the woman quickly asked, "Young handsome guy, what did you find out?"
"You do have a future with him, but..." At this point, Bing Tianyi suddenly paused.
Upon hearing this, the woman furrowed her brows and hurriedly asked, "But what?"
"I hope you won't be upset by what I say," Bing Tianyi said with some concern.
"Go ahead and tell me," she replied directly, her eyes filled with expectation.
Bing Tianyi sighed and then quietly said, "To be honest, although there is some fate between you and your next partner, it won't last. In the end, you might divorce due to not having children."
As soon as these words were spoken, the woman's expression changed dramatically; tears welled up in her eyes. After pondering for a moment with her head down, she finally looked up at Bing Tianyi and asked, "Young handsome guy, can you tell me when I will be able to have children?"
"This will have to wait until the day after tomorrow. I only do three divinations a day, and they can only be on the lunar calendar's odd days," Bing Tianyi said as he began to pack his things.
Seeing this, the woman quickly stepped forward and asked, "Hey, handsome, where can I find you three days from now?"
"Well..." Bing Tianyi hesitated for a moment before replying, "The day after tomorrow is Monday. If possible, just wait for me at the entrance of Yizhong School after twelve noon."
"Are you still a student?"
"Yes."
The woman looked surprised but still thanked him. She took out a hundred-dollar bill and handed it to Bing Tianyi.
Upon seeing the bill, Bing Tianyi's heart raced again. After all, he had never earned money before; today was just the beginning, and he didn't expect to have such income. With three hundred a day and fifteen days of divination each month, that would amount to four thousand five hundred dollars.
Thinking about this made Bing Tianyi smile broadly. He accepted the money and said with a grin, "Then I'll take it."
The scene drew envious glances from several elderly men nearby. Once Bing Tianyi finished packing, the woman hurriedly left.
As Bing Tianyi prepared to leave, the elderly men approached him with curiosity. "Kid, is your fortune-telling accurate or not?" one asked in surprise.
"That shouldn't be a problem," Bing Tianyi replied with a smile.
Hearing this, another elder chuckled helplessly and said, "Isn't that a silly question? If it weren't accurate, how could that girl have given him money?"
"I didn't expect the younger generation to surpass us; it seems we should retire," another elder sighed.
Bing Tianyi listened and noticed the helpless expressions on their faces; he felt a bit awkward. He stopped and said, "I'm sorry; I don't know where I can set up my stall. But I promise I won't come here again."
Upon hearing this, the elderly men understood his intention and expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thank you very much, young brother."
Bing Tianyi nodded and was about to turn to leave when a familiar male voice called out from a distance.
"Master, please wait a moment."
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi stopped and waited for the man to approach. Bing Tianyi smiled and asked, "Didn’t you leave this morning? Why are you back now?"
"I'm sorry, Master. You know how it is; it’s not easy to bring some things up when my girlfriend is around. Please don’t take it to heart. This is the fee for this morning; I hope you can accept it," the man said, pulling out two Hundred-Dollar Bills and handing them to Bing Tianyi, just like the beautiful woman had done earlier.
This scene left the three elderly men nearby speechless. Earning five hundred in one day was more than their income over three or four days.
"I'll take this money, but I have something to say as well," Bing Tianyi said seriously as he accepted the payment he deserved.
"Please feel free to speak, Master," the man replied respectfully, nodding and smiling.
"You can't have your fortune told today; you'll have to wait until the day after tomorrow."
"Why not?" The man asked with a helpless expression, eager for an explanation.
"This is to be responsible for my clients and for myself. I only do three readings a day, and they must be done on the same day. I've already reached my limit today, so I can't do any more readings," Bing Tianyi explained earnestly.
After hearing this, the man's face showed a bitter smile. He then awkwardly asked, "Will you be here the day after tomorrow?"
"Just wait for me at the entrance of County No. 1 High School after five-thirty in the afternoon," Bing Tianyi said with a smile.
The man nodded eagerly in agreement.
After bidding farewell, Bing Tianyi excitedly slung his bag over his shoulder and hurried toward his parents' food stall nearby.
Before long, Bing Tianyi caught a whiff of dumpling aroma. Picking up his pace, he reached his parents and cheerfully asked, "Mom and Dad, how much did you earn today?"
"Hey kid, what happened to make you so happy?" Father Bing asked with a smile while busy with his work.
"Look, this is my income for today," Bing Tianyi said, pulling out five bills from his pocket and waving them in front of his parents.
Five hundred dollars surprised both Father Bing and Mother Bing. They stopped their tasks, exchanged glances, and quickly asked, "Where did you get this from?"
As soon as Father Bing finished speaking, Mother Bing asked with a strange expression, "Tianyi, we may be poor, but you must never engage in illegal activities, okay?"
"Don't worry, I earned this money through legitimate means," Bing Tianyi replied seriously before handing the money to his mother. He then added, "Mom, could you make me a bowl of vegetarian wontons? I'm starving."
Earning five hundred in just half a day through legitimate means? What kind of legitimate means could bring in that much money?
Curious to find out more, Father Bing couldn't help but ask, "Honestly, where did this money come from?"
"I made it by setting up a stall and telling fortunes," Bing Tianyi stated plainly.
Both parents were stunned again, exchanging wry smiles as they thought about how foolish the people giving money to Bing Tianyi must be.
However, recalling that their son had mentioned wanting to tell fortunes on the street before, they could only smile bitterly at his current statement. As they resumed their busy work, they began to inquire further.
While talking with his parents, Bing Tianyi took the wontons his mother had prepared and started eating with chopsticks.
Unexpectedly, after just one bite, Bing Tianyi immediately stood up and spat out the food while exclaiming, "Meat filling?"
"Yes! Don't you usually love meat?" Mother Bing asked upon seeing her son's surprised expression.
"Mom, are you trying to kill me?" Bing Tianyi said with a distressed look on his face as he continued to spit out the remaining bits in his mouth.
He then went over to the water bucket and poured himself a cup of cold water to rinse his mouth repeatedly.
Seeing this, the two parents were even more curious.
And so, a day passed quickly. Bing Tianyi became a miracle in the family.
Before long, Monday arrived, and school was much the same as usual, with no significant changes. Except for math class, where Bing Tianyi always lazily slept, he paid close attention in all other subjects.
After class at noon, Bing Tianyi packed his things and hurried towards the door.
Noticing this, Pang Yu quickly followed and curiously asked Bing Tianyi, "Brother Bing, what are you planning to do? Are you going to fight again?"
"Make money," Bing Tianyi replied while continuing to walk forward, not wanting to waste his customer's time.
Pang Yu felt helpless; there was barely two hours of break at noon—what kind of work could he do?
To find out more, he hurriedly followed behind Bing Tianyi until they reached the school gate. Bing Tianyi looked around and soon spotted the beautiful girl under the Big Scholar Tree on the east side of the school, as they had agreed that day.
He walked straight over, with Pang Yu closely trailing behind. Walking beside Bing Tianyi, Pang Yu couldn't believe it and asked, "Brother Bing, when did you start dating a girl outside of school?"
"Get lost; she's my customer," Bing Tianyi said with a slight frown, turning to glare at Pang Yu.
"Customer? Did you become a prince or something?" Pang Yu's mind was racing with wild thoughts as he questioned Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi was completely speechless. He stopped and looked at Pang Yu, saying, "Are you brainless or something?"
Pang Yu chuckled awkwardly, his face full of apology.
When they reached the girl, she quickly smiled politely and said, "Hey there, handsome. Where should we start?"
"Let's go over there; it's quieter and less crowded," Bing Tianyi suggested as he stepped forward.
The girl followed closely behind and reached a nearby corner. Bing Tianyi quickly took out incense, lit three sticks, and after praying, asked her, "So, what do you want me to calculate?"
"First, help me find out when my current boyfriend will look for other women," the girl said.
Bing Tianyi frowned slightly, thinking that Guanyin's fortune-telling didn't cover this. However, he soon thought of the Sixty-Four Hexagrams.
"Write something," Bing Tianyi said directly.
The girl nodded in agreement, took the brush, and wrote: "Bitch!"
Bing Tianyi picked it up and glanced at it, smiling as he said, "There will be a woman on March 11."
With just that one sentence, the girl was left speechless. Of course, as Ajie's girlfriend, she may have had some feelings at first, but after discovering that Ajie was looking for other women, she completely lost faith in him. The only reason they were still together was purely for financial reasons.
Now asking Bing Tianyi to calculate this was merely to confirm that he was indeed a skilled fortune-teller.
"You're amazing, handsome! About what you said regarding children the other day, I would like you to help me calculate that as well," the girl said as she took out money and handed it to Bing Tianyi.
Receiving two hundred, Bing Tianyi smiled and explained, "Two hundred for each hexagram; what we just did counts as one."
"Don't worry; money is not an issue," the girl replied generously.
At that moment, unexpectedly, a cold laugh came from afar: "That's the kid; get him!"
