The yellow sand filled the sky, and blood stained half of it red. Amidst the mountains of corpses and seas of blood, he walked step by step toward the man holding the Battle Axe high. "You have lost," he said calmly, as if stating an established fact. 0

"To the victor belong the spoils; do as you wish!" Chiyou laughed wildly, his eyes showing no fear, but instead burning with fierce battle spirit. 0

He shook his head slightly. "I admire your courage, but you have committed many evils. Today is your day of death!" With that, he raised the Xuanyuan Sword in his hand. 0

However, just as the sword was about to fall, he suddenly stopped, his gaze falling on a little girl soaked in blood behind Chiyou. 0

"Let her go, and I will submit to your judgment." 0

"Let her go, and I will submit to your judgment." Chiyou growled, his tone carrying a hint of pleading, a stark contrast to his earlier arrogance on the battlefield. 0

The Emperor Huang narrowed his eyes. The once-mighty "Lord of War" was now lowering himself for a little girl, which left him momentarily dazed. He scrutinized Chiyou, trying to find a flaw in his expression, but Chiyou merely gritted his teeth, staring at him with unwavering determination. 0

The little girl looked timidly at these two god-like men, her eyes filled with fear and helplessness. Her animal skin clothing was stained red with blood, and her frail body trembled slightly, clearly terrified by the hellish scene around her. 0

The Emperor Huang remained silent, retracting the Xuanyuan Sword in his hand while his aura grew even more imposing. Sensing this change in the Emperor Huang, Chiyou's smile gradually faded as he realized that things were not so simple. 0

"What do you want?" Chiyou tightened his grip on the Battle Axe and asked warily, a hint of unease in his voice. 0

"Tell me, why did you start this war?" The Emperor Huang's voice was deep and powerful, sounding like an interrogation or perhaps an inquiry into his own heart. 0

At this question, a complex expression flashed across Chiyou's face—pain, resentment, and hatred. He took a deep breath as if trying to suppress all his emotions before slowly speaking: "For my people, for the future of Jiuli!" 0

"For your people?" The Emperor Huang scoffed. "Is the future you speak of built upon countless corpses? Look at this land; look at these innocent lives. Is this what you desire?" 0

Chiyou fell silent. He looked around at the bodies strewn about—familiar faces and strangers alike—his former enemies and comrades. The stench of blood on the battlefield filled the air, assaulting his senses and making him feel nauseous. 0

"Have you never thought about coexisting in peace? Have you never considered using your power to create rather than to destroy?" The voice of the Emperor Huang grew increasingly intense, resonating like a deafening bell, striking at Chiyou's heart. 0

Chiyou lifted his head and looked directly into the Emperor Huang's eyes, his gaze filled with struggle. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but ultimately it turned into a helpless sigh: "You wouldn't understand..." 0

With that, he slowly raised the Battle Axe in his hand, pointing it at his own neck, his expression resolute as if he had made a significant decision. 0

This sudden action caught the Emperor Huang off guard. He wanted to stop him but found Chiyou's gaze unusually firm, a determination that seemed ready to face death. 0

"Chiyou, stop!" the Emperor Huang shouted sternly, but an ominous premonition surged within him. 0

However, it was as if Chiyou did not hear the Emperor Huang's words. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and suddenly brought the Battle Axe down. 0

"Thud!" 0

The sound of the blade slicing through flesh was particularly jarring in the silent battlefield, blood gushed forth, staining Chiyou's beastskin clothing red. 0

A once-great hero had fallen. 0

The Emperor Huang watched helplessly as everything unfolded before him. He had intended to give Chiyou a chance to resolve the hatred brought about by this war, but he never expected such an ending. 0

Chiyou's body slowly fell to the ground, landing with a dull thud. Until his death, he gazed toward the Jiuli Tribe, his eyes filled with reluctance and longing. 0

Witnessing Chiyou take his own life, Emperor Huang felt a mix of emotions. He sheathed the Xuanyuan Sword and slowly walked to Chiyou's corpse, standing quietly beside it, lost in thought for a long time. 0

The surroundings were silent, only the sound of the wind passing through the battlefield and the sorrowful cries of the Jiuli Tribe echoed in the valley. 0

Chiyou's remaining followers witnessed their leader's death, filled with grief and anger but powerless to change the outcome. They discarded their armor and knelt on the ground, submitting to Emperor Huang. 0

Emperor Huang surveyed the area, looking at the Jiuli Tribe that had lost their leader. He felt no joy in victory, only endless sorrow. 0

"This war should never have happened..." Emperor Huang murmured, his tone filled with helplessness and sadness. 0
