Chapter 287: The Miraculous Case
The content on the third sheet is the case report mentioned by Dr. Zhang:
Case One: Little Girl Kaitie
This case report comes from a research publication by Melvin Moss, M.D. at Seattle Children's Hospital in the United States.
Kaitie is a beloved little girl. She is shy and timid, appearing somewhat fearful when meeting others.
She was born in a small town in Idaho, USA. Until the miracle occurred, she was an ordinary little girl. At the age of nine, an unexpected event transformed her life into a miracle, marking her place in the annals of medical history.
This incident happened during the summer, a season when parents often worry about their children having accidents while swimming. On that day, this concern became a reality for Kaitie. She was found floating face down in the swimming pool at the local YMCA. No one could accurately say how long she had been drifting on the surface.
She was rushed to the local hospital. The doctors found no signs of life in her. This beautiful girl with long blonde hair appeared to be a lifeless body. The rescuing doctors believed she had only a 10% chance of survival, with some even certain that she would not make it.
However, Kaitie did not die. She spent three days in a deep coma, relying on a ventilator to breathe.
Then she suddenly woke up.
Her first words were, "Where are Mark and Andy?"
Everyone—doctors, nurses, and even her parents—was unable to answer this puzzling question. In Kaitie's circle of life, there had never been two boys named Mark and Andy. Perhaps it was just nonsense. But what Kaitie said next indicated that she was very much aware.
She accurately identified the medical staff who had treated her in the emergency room three days prior, detailing their order of entry and many specific steps taken during the rescue process.
A little girl who had just crossed the threshold of death surprisingly had a clear understanding of what had happened during her unconsciousness!
But even stranger things were yet to come.
Kaitie was able to walk within 24 hours after waking up, and she was completely healed after three days.
Her performance sparked great curiosity among people. Her parents listened with wide eyes as she recounted her experiences. The doctors were astonished by her miraculous recovery.
People bombarded her with questions.
Her answers led them into an unknown world.
Kaitie did not remember how she fell into the swimming pool. Some speculated that a few boys playing near the pool might have pushed her in, either intentionally or accidentally. Others thought she might have slipped and fallen in, or perhaps she hit her head while swimming and lost consciousness. She had no memory of the drowning incident.
Incredibly, she remembered everything that happened after she lost consciousness.

Darkness! Absolute darkness! Her body felt heavy and immobile. Then a tunnel opened above her. Elizabeth, a tall blonde beauty, appeared before Kaitie from the tunnel, accompanying her as they ascended together.
Kaitie's grandmother had already passed away. In the tunnel, Kaitie saw her. There, she also met several new friends, including two boys named Andy and Mark. They played with Kaitie and introduced her to many others.
Kaitie said that Andy and Mark were two "souls" waiting to be born.
Suddenly, Kaitie found herself back at home. She floated from one room to another. Her siblings were playing in their respective rooms. One brother was pushing a toy on top of a Jeep around the room, while a sister was combing a doll's hair and singing along to popular rock songs.
She floated into the kitchen and saw her mother. Looking towards the living room, she saw her father. Her mother was cooking roasted chicken with rice, while her father sat silently in his armchair, staring ahead. She guessed that her father was worried about her, who was staying in the hospital.
Kaitie still remembered what her family members were wearing at that time.
The memories of returning home were confirmed by all the details her parents provided.
Kaitie regarded Elizabeth as an "angel," her own "guardian angel." Elizabeth accompanied her to meet a person enveloped in light. The person in the light asked if she wanted to see her mother again. She replied, "Yes."
Then she woke up.
...
"This..." After reading this passage, I looked at Xianxian in disbelief. Coincidentally, Xianxian had also finished reading the story, and there was an understanding in our eyes that only we could comprehend. Did Dr. Zhang show us this story because they already knew something?
Although I felt very confused inside, I didn't voice my questions.

Case Two: Dannen Brinkley
Dannen Brinkley, one of America's most famous near-death experiencers, reported the following case in his autobiographical work.
Dannen's misfortune occurred in 1975. This accident made him a household name in America by 1994.
Before this incident, Dannen was relatively unknown in the world. Perhaps his profession required such anonymity, as he was an intelligence operative. Dannen became famous not for his career as an operative, but for a profoundly painful experience.
On September 7, 1975, just a few days after returning home from a trip to South America, Dannen was making a phone call to a friend. He noticed that outside, the wind was howling, rain was pouring down, and thunder was rumbling. Out of fear of lightning, he was about to hang up the phone when it was too late. A bolt of 180,000 volts struck his body through the telephone line.
Dannen's heart stopped beating. He was dead. The doctors declared him deceased.
This was a tragic scene. At the same time, it marked the beginning of a miracle...
Twenty-eight minutes later, Dannen came back to life in the hospital morgue!
The resurrected Dannen resembled a wreck. He could barely move. His body, including some internal organs, had been burned by the electric shock. He had to endure all the pain of paralysis and disability.
