The Crown Prince held Yui down, his expression serious as he looked at the crowd of disaster victims ahead, all thin and haggard. In front of him, many were kneeling, each crying out, "Crown Prince, save us!"
Yui clutched the Crown Prince's sleeve, her face filled with surprise. "How do they know?"
Hadn't they left the Western Frontier far behind? Where did these disaster victims come from???
Questions flooded her mind one after another as Yui anxiously looked at the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince pressed his lips together, his face expressionless, but countless emotions flickered in his eyes.
Holding Yui close to his chest, he leaned in closer to her ear and gently breathed out, "Yui, we can't go back for now."
"Ah." Yui blushed slightly. "That's okay; the disaster victims are what matters."
"Disaster victims?" The Crown Prince coldly curled his lips. "Someone is trying to stop us from going back, silly girl."
"You all get up; this Crown Prince will take responsibility for you."
Yui looked at him with concern, and he smiled gently at her. "It's alright."
Two people were forced to head towards the Western Frontier again, with a group of disaster victims following closely behind, almost as if they were monitoring them.
But who had the ability to incite these disaster victims to act? And who wouldn't want the Crown Prince to return to the Imperial Capital?
Yui could only resent not having a clever mind; now she didn't even have her only Spell left, making her completely useless and unable to help at all.
"Yui, don't blame yourself. It's alright," the Crown Prince seemed to sense her thoughts and reached out to smooth her furrowed brow.
"I'm not blaming myself; I'm just a bit dim-witted at most." She still wanted to maintain her image in her lover's eyes.
"Heh." The Crown Prince chuckled, his facial features softening considerably. "As long as this Crown Prince is clever, you don't need to be."
What! Yui thought defiantly about retorting, but what he said was indeed true.
Forget it, as a capable partner, she decided not to argue.
Thinking of the term "capable partner," her little face secretly flushed again. Thankfully, he didn't notice~
The Crown Prince lifted the carriage curtain and gazed at the night sky. Suddenly, he turned back and flashed a smile at Yui, making her head spin.
