For a Little Demon like her, maintaining a human form was a luxury. She had struggled for years in the human world, evading the pursuit of human Taoists. A few months ago, she had finally achieved a human-like state, but accidentally fell victim to an attack from a Taoist, transforming into this half-human, half-demon monster, which led to mockery from her peers. Today, fortune smiled upon her as she encountered a Celestial Being, giving her the courage to speak.
"Remember what you said," Yui said as she flipped her palm, gathering rich blue energy that formed a spherical light in her hand. She murmured a few incantations and commanded, "Go."
The light orb floated above Mouse Spirit's head, radiating brilliance that enveloped her entire body. Her ears gradually shrank back, and her tail slowly curled up.
After a moment, Mouse Spirit completely transformed into a human form. She clapped her hands joyfully, touched her head and then her backside, her eyes sparkling with happiness. A flame ignited at her fingertips and shot towards the firewood, instantly illuminating the dark space.
She respectfully knelt on the ground and said, "Thank you for your assistance, Celestial Being. From now on, you will be my master."
This Spell consumed a significant amount of Yui's energy. In the past, she would have needed only half an hour of rest to recover; however, now she would need about a day. But it was worth it—gaining an assistant was like having an extra hand compared to Dian Yin.
"Get up. What is your name?"
Mouse Spirit was not shy at all; she seemed quite friendly. She stood up and voluntarily began to massage Yui's shoulders while exhaling deeply. "I don't have a name."
"Oh," Yui nodded. "Then I'll give you one."
Yui pondered for a moment and suddenly remembered that when dining outside the palace, they referred to the attendants as 'little second,' meaning someone who serves their master or runs errands. This fit Mouse Spirit perfectly.
With a wave of her hand, she declared, "You shall be called Little Second."
Mouse Spirit paused, her hand on her shoulder faltering for a moment. She twitched her lips before slowly furrowing her brows and softly said, "Thank you for the name, Master."

At dawn, the door of the woodshed creaked open, and a sliver of light spilled in. Yui quickly tucked away the thread and immediately crouched in the corner, shivering.
