Ma Gang looked at me thoughtfully, saying nothing more. 0

We sat on a park bench, and he gently held my hand. 0

"Zhou Hong, I have to return to the team," he said, looking at me with serious eyes. 0

I smiled slightly, "I know, work is important." 0

He stood up and reached out to touch my head, saying, "Call me if you need anything." 0

After that, he turned and left. 0

I returned to the apartment alone. 0

A week later, he invited me to go hiking. 0

The paths in the countryside were shaded by green trees and blooming flowers. 0

We walked up the trail, passing the visitor center, and ahead was a dense forest. 0

He held my hand, occasionally kissing my cheek. 0

I dodged his embrace and shook my head, "No." 0

He was taken aback and leaned down to kiss my lips briefly. 0

I frowned, about to push him away, but he had already released me. 0

"Let's go; the path ahead is difficult. I'll pull you along." 0

He tightened his grip on my hand. 0

The mountain path was rugged, and I was panting heavily. 0

He handed me the water bottle, saying, "Drink some water and take a break." 0

I took the bottle, drank more than half of it, and then returned it to him. 0

He looked at me, a strange glint flashing in his eyes. 0

"What's wrong?" I asked. 0
He took the water bottle, tightened the cap, and said, "It's nothing." 0
We continued walking, but not far along, it suddenly started to rain. 0
The rain intensified, and we found a cave to take shelter. 0
He took out a tissue to wipe the droplets from my hair, 0
then pulled out a bandage to wrap around my wrist. 0
My wrist had been cut by a branch, bleeding profusely, 0
but I hadn't noticed because the pain wasn't severe. 0
"I saw it earlier; you pretended not to." 0
I murmured softly. 0
He leaned closer, his eyes locked onto mine, and said, 0
"The moment I saw you, I wanted to protect you." 0
After saying that, he reached out and pulled me into his embrace. 0
I instinctively pushed him away. 0
He stumbled back a few steps, nearly falling. 0
"Ma Gang..." 0
I felt a bit guilty. 0
He steadied himself, looked at me, and asked, "What's wrong?" 0
"I... I'm not ready yet," I said quietly. 0
He looked at me for a moment and nodded: "I understand." 0
He walked to the cave entrance and gazed at the curtain of rain outside. 0

I sat to the side, quietly waiting for the rain to stop. After a long while, the rain finally ceased. He turned and walked over to me, bending down to hold me in his arms. Instinctively, I wanted to push him away. He tightened his embrace and said, "Don't move, let me hold you." My stiff body gradually relaxed. He gently stroked my back, as if trying to soothe me. After a moment, he released me and kissed my lips lightly. I closed my eyes and clenched my fists. His movements became more intense; he held the back of my head and his tongue slipped into my mouth. I suddenly pushed him away with too much force, causing him to fall into the muddy water. 0

"Ma Gang..." I panicked and wanted to help him up. He waved his hand and stood up by himself. He was soaked through, water dripping from his hair. He wiped his face, looked at me, and said, "I'm sorry, I..." I lowered my gaze and softly replied, "I'm the one who should apologize." He moved closer, raised his hand, hesitated for a moment, then gently wrapped it around my shoulders. I trembled, struggling to suppress the urge to push him away. Sensing my tension, he did not make any further moves. "Zhou Hong, I will wait for you." 0

He finished speaking and lightly patted my shoulder. 0
I turned my head and looked into his eyes, which were filled with sincerity. 0
I nodded. 0
