It was said that Hu Huang Bai Liu Hui, one of the Northeast Five Immortals, should never be provoked. Yet this man went on to kill several foxes, resulting in a tragic downfall for his family. 0

The incident took place in the 1980s when our village experienced the Li Family Massacre, where a mother and her child were brutally murdered. 0

Soon after, the police arrived at the scene. The victims had met a gruesome fate, and strangely enough, the murderer turned out to be the head of the household. 0

Initially, the police thought it was just a melodramatic family affair. However, to their surprise, upon investigation, they found that the family of three had a close relationship and there were no apparent conflicts that would lead to murder. The interrogation proceeded smoothly. 0

The head of the household was named Li. Besides farming, he raised dozens of rabbits. Life wasn’t particularly affluent, but it was manageable. 0

This year had been unfortunate for him; after moving to an expanded farm at the foot of the mountain, his rabbits began to disappear one after another. 0

After several days of observation, he discovered that a white fox frequently jumped over the wall to steal food. Old Li tried every method he could think of—raising the walls and setting up barbed wire—but nothing worked. 0

Foxes are particularly clever creatures; they always found ways to get in, and his rabbits continued to vanish, which only fueled Old Li's anger. 0

About six months ago, he came up with an idea and somehow acquired several animal traps. 0

After returning home, he modified them so that the lightweight rabbits wouldn’t trigger them, but if a fox stepped on them, it would be caught. 0

That night, he set up the traps in various corners of the rabbit enclosure. 0

At this point, Old Li was determined to recover his losses; after all, it was only human nature. 0

Old Li had only intended to catch one or two foxes to scare them off. 0

However, once things started, it was hard to predict which direction they would take. That very night, after Old Li set the traps, he saw results. 0

Early the next morning, as soon as he entered the rabbit farm, he spotted a white object lying on the ground. Without needing to ask, he knew it was a large white fox. 0

The trap Old Li had modified was extremely powerful and had crushed the fox's leg. 0

Having tasted the thrill of revenge and success, Old Li became addicted to it. Sometimes, he would deliberately take traps up into the mountains, using rabbits as bait. To ensure the foxes would fall for it, he even added a few ducks. 0

In just a few months, he wiped out an entire den of foxes in the mountains. 0

With the rabbit farm now safe, Old Li was pleased and made himself a fur coat from two fox pelts. But trouble was brewing. 0

On the night before, wearing his fox fur coat, Old Li got up in the middle of the night to feed the rabbits. 0

As he poured in the feed and prepared to head back inside, he caught sight of a white shadow flickering on the wall. Turning around, he found a large white fox standing there. 0

This white fox was enormous, with a pair of bright green eyes fixed intently on Old Li. 0

It seemed that there was still a straggler from that den of foxes who had come down to steal food. Angered once more, Old Li grabbed a pickaxe nearby and swung it at the creature. 0

But when the pickaxe struck the wall, the white shadow vanished without a trace. 0

Old Li circled around the rabbit pen several times but couldn't find anything, so he had no choice but to return home, planning to go down the mountain tomorrow to set some traps. 0

Just as he got back inside, he saw a white shadow in the room—it was the big white fox. He didn't know when it had entered, and at that moment, it was opening its mouth wide, ready to bite his wife's neck. 0

Without a second thought, Old Li raised his pickaxe and swung it down. The white shadow flashed, and the white fox disappeared. Unfortunately, his pickaxe struck his wife's head instead, causing her brain to splatter. 0

Old Li was stunned and dazed. Suddenly, the white shadow flashed again behind him. Sure enough, the white fox was watching him at the door, as if taunting him. 0

That day, Old Li didn't know what was happening; he felt like he had gone mad, with only one thought in his mind—to kill that white fox. 0

When the white fox jumped onto his son's bed, preparing to bite him, Old Li didn't hesitate for a moment and threw down another pickaxe. 0

Needless to say, the fox was gone, and his son was killed on the spot. 0

After the incident, Old Li was taken for a mental evaluation. The results came back normal, and he was reportedly sentenced to death with a reprieve. 0
