The middle-aged man sighed in relief, preparing to brush the snow off his body, but suddenly a very serious question crossed his mind.
The avalanche had blocked the entrance; how were they going to get out?
Although they had escaped the fate of being buried alive, being trapped here meant they would eventually face starvation. What about oxygen? In the end, wouldn't they still die?
At least they were better off than those who had a coffin.
When it came to life and death, he couldn't afford to be indifferent. He quickly turned his anxious gaze toward Ye Mingshang, who was sitting cross-legged over there.
"Master, um, the entrance is buried in snow. What do we do?"
Ye Mingshang understood his meaning and comforted him, saying, "I have my ways."
Only then did the middle-aged man relax. Although he didn't know what those ways were, since Ye Mingshang said he had them, he must have something in mind.
His abilities were extraordinary in one aspect; in another aspect, no one would joke about their own life.
After the earlier scare, the middle-aged man found it hard to sleep. Knowing that Ye Mingshang possessed such great power made him occasionally glance over.
However, fearing that he might be disliked by the other man, he didn't dare to linger too long.
"If only I could ask him for help, then everything would be fine..."
He contemplated this in his heart, wanting to win him over, but noticed that Ye Mingshang didn't seem interested in money, leaving him unsure of what to do.
"Should I tell him about that thing?"
He thought of something that no one could refuse—what those people were after. But as soon as this thought crossed his mind, he dismissed it. That thing was too precious, and he didn't know if this Expert might resort to violence for it.
And so, the night passed just like that.
Early the next morning, the middle-aged man was startled awake by a loud noise.
The sound came from the cave entrance. Turning around, he saw that the thick layer of snow covering the entrance had been blasted away, creating a large hole that led directly outside.
Looking around, he found no trace of Ye Mingshang and figured he must have already left.
The middle-aged man hurriedly crawled up through the hole, but being quite heavy, it took him a great deal of effort to make it out.
There were no signs of anyone around.
"It seems he didn't want to get too involved with me and left first," he sighed softly, feeling quite helpless. He had intended to ask for help, but in the end, it seemed they were fated to part ways.
However, considering their brief encounter, it was already fortunate that the other person had taken him in. Moreover, he had saved his life; he shouldn't be too greedy.
Meanwhile, Ye Mingshang had already traveled quite far. At his speed, he should reach Mount Everest by noon.
He certainly couldn't wait for that man; rescuing him was merely a casual act. It was already good enough to have helped him this far; there was no reason to keep looking after him.
Time passed quickly...
Before long, it was past five in the evening, and the sunlight gradually softened.
On the other side, a crescent moon appeared faintly in the sky, indicating that it was time for both sun and moon to coexist.
At the summit of Mount Everest stood a figure—Ye Mingshang.
He had arrived at the peak early and was waiting there.
"At the highest peak, where sun and moon coexist is the brightest place."
As he looked around at the vast expanse of white, Ye Mingshang furrowed his brow.
"Where exactly is the brightest place?"
The sun and moon had been present for a while, but he still couldn't find the brightest place.
"Is it because I'm standing here and seeing too little?"
With his hands spread out, he slowly floated up, a necessary action before flying.
Floating about ten meters above the ground, he could see a large area below, but he still had no clue where the brightest place was.
Searching around, he noticed that the sun would soon set. If he couldn't find it soon, he would have to wait until tomorrow.
"Where on earth is the brightest place? Is Wang Sijin lying to me?"
"Huh? What's that?"
Just as he was frowning in worry, a flash of light caught his eye.
He floated over, and as the snow was brushed aside, he discovered a small mirror, left behind by some climber.
Looking at the mirror, Ye Mingshang fell into deep thought.
Suddenly, he looked up at the sun and moon in the sky, then down at the mirror on the ground.
"Could it be? The brightest place is the reflection of the mirror?"
Thinking of this possibility, Ye Mingshang felt a surge of joy but quickly became troubled again.
"Where can I get a mirror from... And can I really enter through this?"
In doubt, Ye Mingshang pressed his finger against the mirror.
Ding!
He encountered the mirror.
"Damn it! This is completely useless!"
In a fit of anger, Ye Mingshang threw the mirror away, but after venting his frustration, he was startled and hurriedly flew in the direction where he had thrown the mirror.
Although he hadn't found a solution yet, it was still the only clue he had, and he couldn't let it slip away.
"Fortunately, it's still here."
After flying a few hundred meters, Ye Mingshang was drawn to a reflection—it was the same mirror from before.
He reached out to pick it up, but his fingers unexpectedly passed through the surface of the mirror.
"What’s going on?!"
Startled, Ye Mingshang quickly withdrew his finger and then tried pressing it against the surface again.
To his surprise, instead of being blocked, the mirror's surface yielded like water, allowing his finger to easily press through.
"This is great! It really works!" Ye Mingshang felt a surge of joy.
"But why could I do it now when I couldn't before?"
Puzzled, Ye Mingshang looked at the mirror and noticed that he could see both the sun and the moon reflected on its surface.
"Could it be?! Does it have to be both the sun and moon present?"
Considering this possibility, Ye Mingshang picked up the mirror and tilted it slightly so that it only faced the sun.
He pressed his finger against it, but it was indeed blocked.
Then he adjusted the mirror again, this time aligning it solely with the moon. He pressed his finger against it once more, but again, it was blocked.
He then adjusted the mirror to see the positions of the sun and moon simultaneously.
This time, he was not obstructed, and his finger easily pressed in.
"Just as I thought!"
Ye Mingshang felt a surge of excitement; he had finally found a way.
However, he soon began to worry about where he could find a mirror large enough for him to fit through in this icy world.
This small mirror was clearly not big enough for him to enter; he was not a monster capable of transforming or shrinking his form.
Anxiously pacing back and forth, a sudden flash of inspiration struck him, leading to a feasible idea.
Without hesitation, Ye Mingshang controlled his body to fly. He let one foot dangle down and used it like a pen, drawing an unusual pattern on the ground through his flying.
Minutes later, a circular pattern with a diameter of over ten meters appeared in the snow, resembling a crop circle.
"Golden Fire Flourishes, Jiao Lian Yuan Shen; Internal Protection Form, External Demon Spirit. Urgent Order!"
