I have long heard that the Abe family has produced a once-in-a-century genius, but I have never encountered him until now. It seems that this is indeed Sha Yi, or rather, Abe Sha Yi.
The strongest genius of the Abe family in a hundred years, possessing immense strength, along with his identity and limitless future possibilities. Using these as leverage to persuade Great Tengu might be feasible. After all, the stronger the practitioner, the stronger the Shikigami will be.
Looking at the other party's arrogant demeanor, Ye Mingshang scoffed, "I never expected that the esteemed Black Witch Cult would need a little Japanese Devil to be its leader. How utterly ridiculous."
Sha Yi's expression turned cold. "I hate being called that."
"Which title? Little Japanese Devil?"
"You're asking for death!"
Sha Yi's face darkened; after transforming into Shikigami form, his temper flared. He swung his hands outward.
Whoosh!
A ghostly blue orb shot out at incredible speed.
Ye Mingshang dodged to the side, and the orb flew far away, crashing into a distant peak and causing it to explode into fragments.
The power was indeed remarkable, surprising Ye Mingshang somewhat, but it was limited to that. That so-called peak was actually quite low; it was merely a small mound. Even if it were a real mountain, he could still destroy it.
"To think there are techniques that can release energy externally; that's somewhat interesting," Ye Mingshang nodded.
"There's even better to come!"
Sha Yi snorted coldly and wasn't disappointed that his attack had been evaded; after all, the opponent's strength was evident. If he could hit so easily, it would be truly bizarre.
Sha Yi waved his hands, ghostly blue light swirling around him. Suddenly, he threw a punch quickly; although fast, it gave the impression of being slow. The punches were not aimed directly at Ye Mingshang but were thrown in various directions.
"Hey! Are you playing Thousand-Handed Avalokiteshvara?" Ye Mingshang couldn't help but start his rant.
Sha Yi ignored him and continued with his actions.
The movements became faster, creating more afterimages that gathered without dispersing, gradually giving a heavy feeling.
A sense of pressure emerged, and Ye Mingshang's momentum surged, scattering the afterimages. His expression then became a bit more serious.
Forming one's own Aura is a testament to strength; those who possess such Aura are all renowned experts across the land.
Be it gods, demons, monsters, or spirits, as long as one has their own Aura, they are already a dominant force in their realm.
And an attack that can generate Aura is certainly not a trivial technique.
Sha Yi's movements were becoming increasingly rapid, and the accumulation of afterimages grew heavier.
"Ha!"
"Roar!!!"
Accompanied by Sha Yi's loud shout, a punch was thrown, and countless fist shadows seemed to change direction, simultaneously launching an attack.
The fist shadows formed a torrent, accompanied by roaring sounds, revealing a fierce Dog-headed figure intermittently.
With a grand display of power, Ye Mingshang also retaliated. Wielding his ink spear and accompanied by shadows, he thrust forward.
"Roar!"
As the spear was thrust out, a Dragon's Roar emerged. The black dragon head was incredibly fierce, dragging along its long body as it flew toward the torrent of fist shadows.
Boom!!!
The clash between the two sides was grand. The Black Dragon arrived first, blasting apart the Dog-headed Tengu, and still had the strength to charge towards Sha Yi.
Sha Yi crossed his arms, managing to block the residual force of the Black Dragon. He took half a step back but was unharmed.
Standing firm with his spear, Ye Mingshang calmly watched Sha Yi, not disappointed that he hadn't been severely injured. Although Sha Yi's personal strength was average, the Great Tengu was indeed a king-level existence in Japan. Even if it was just a small nation, it at least had the strength of the Eight Great Vajras under the Underworld River.
With a grim expression, Sha Yi lowered his arms and slowly drew the military knife hanging at his waist.
"I admit I underestimated you. Your strength is indeed greater than I imagined. It seems I can't hold back any longer," Sha Yi said slowly.
Hearing these words, Ye Mingshang's face showed no change, but inside he felt disdain. With his strength, defeating someone of Sha Yi's level would be very easy; he had merely been toying with him all along. Yet Sha Yi couldn't see that and thought his own strength had reached its limit.
Without further explanation, Ye Mingshang shook his spear and coldly said, "Then let's see."
Sha Yi's expression darkened as he slowly drew out his military knife, gripping it with both hands. A deep blue shadow began to spread upwards, burning like flames.
"If I draw my knife, you won't have a chance."
Ye Mingshang said nothing, simply watching him calmly; everything was self-evident.
Sha Yi narrowed his eyes, gripping the knife tightly. He quickly charged forward with rapid steps, turning the blade upside down and slashing upward from below.
"Chongde Sword Technique First Form—Dog Flipping to the Sky!"
With a loud shout, a sharp flash of light from the knife cut through the air, accompanied by a deep blue glow that seemed to resemble a large dog rushing forward as if to leap into the sky.
Ye Mingshang thrust upward with the tip of his spear, following the trajectory of Sha Yi's attack. He sliced through the belly of that dog-like figure, sending it crashing into the air before it exploded into fragments.
"Chongde Sword Technique Second Form - By the Flowers and Willows!"
The blade trembled, creating ripples like flowing water. It appeared soft and scattered, yet concealed deadly intent.
The spear thrust forward, piercing directly above, shattering the technique upon contact.
However, Ye Mingshang did not show any signs of joy. He thought to himself that it was bad; it was too late to evade.
By the Flowers and Willows is a technique infused with Natural Way, rich in artistic conception. Cherry blossoms and willows, along with the unspoken yet naturally emerging flow of water, all seemed so calm and serene. But when tranquility shatters, nature's destruction brings forth a furious counterattack.
As calmness broke, shadows resembling cherry blossoms and willow leaves danced through the air, instantly catching up to Ye Mingshang, surrounding him. They appeared to drift slowly but moved with incredible speed.
Hastily meeting the attack with his spear, accompanied by clanging sounds, the attacks resembling cherry blossoms and willow leaves shattered upon contact. Yet, even more surged forth as if they aimed to completely engulf the Fellow who disrupted the peace. That beautiful and elegant technique, those fluttering petals seemed to transform into a gaping abyss ready to devour life itself.
Although Ye Mingshang defended quickly and tightly, this technique was too dense. His ink spear was a long weapon, making it difficult to wield effectively at such close range. For a moment, he found himself in a bit of a predicament; some petals that he failed to deflect broke through his defenses and tore at his clothing.
An inch longer means an inch stronger; an inch shorter means an inch more dangerous. The words left by our ancestors were indeed correct.
The long spear had great power at medium to long distances, whether thrusting, swinging, or throwing; it possessed formidable lethality. However, in this close-range encounter against Face, he felt somewhat constrained and struggled to defend himself.
