In the past, someone joked about a person who stood over ten feet tall, covered in lumps of flesh, with arms as thick as a normal person's legs; eyes like copper bells, ears like fans, a mouth as large as a basin, and a head the size of a ping pong ball. 0

If this were in the past, it would have been just a joke. But now, with such a vividly terrifying example before them, they could not laugh at all. 0

"Next, it's your turn..." 0

These words sounded like a death warrant from the King of Hell, causing them to widen their eyes in fear. 0

"Ah!!!" 0

The first one. 0

"Don't! Ah!!!" 0

The second one. 0

"I'll tell you... Ah!!!" 0

The third one. 0

With each person killed, Ye Mingshang would utter a number, which seemed to be the countdown of their lives, like a dagger of fear stabbing deeply into their chests. Though their bodies remained intact, their spirits were already on the verge of collapse. 0

The faces hidden beneath the masks, long deprived of sunlight and pale, became even paler now, resembling frozen corpses that had been dead for a long time. 0

The person was not dead, but their body was already cold... 0

"Seventeen." 0

"Eighteen." 0

"Nineteen." 0

"Twenty." 0

In less than a minute, one vibrant life after another had become a pile of corpses, lying haphazardly on the ground. Some masks had either fallen off or shattered, revealing faces that were deathly pale and filled with terror, as if they had witnessed the most horrifying scene in the world. 0

The bald man had slumped helplessly to the ground, his body trembling uncontrollably, his pupils shrunk to the size of pinholes, indicating just how terrified he was. Beneath him lay a puddle he could no longer hold back, a foul stench emanating from it, yet it could not mask the horrific smell of blood. 0

"Now, is it time to fulfill your promise, Professor..." 0

Holding a heart that had been forcibly extracted from a body, Ye Mingshang calmly looked at the terrified professor, as if what had just happened had nothing to do with him. It seemed that what he held in his hand was not a person's heart but rather a stone. 0

The professor swallowed hard, his voice hoarse as he said, "I will keep my promise and take you to the Celestial Abode." 0

The professor was deeply shaken; even with his experience, he had rarely encountered someone so iron-fisted and ruthless. Under his command, human lives seemed to be as insignificant as grass or ants. 0

"Ugh!~" 0

Suddenly, the bald man let out a muffled groan, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth as he collapsed heavily to the ground. 0

Ye Mingshang did not even glance back and calmly said, "It's time to go, or more flies will come." 0

Then, without further ado, Ye Mingshang pulled the professor into their car and drove away swiftly. 0

Not long after they left, several teams arrived at the scene, clearly also searching for the professor. 0

However, there was no sign of the professor here; all that remained were corpses scattered on the ground. 0

Those brave enough to come here were not ordinary people. Yet even they, who had taken lives before, felt a chill at the sight before them. 0

"It’s the Blood Kill Hall's people." 0

Someone recognized the identity of the deceased at a glance. The crowd shuddered. 0

What kind of people are from Blood Fiend Hall? Everyone knew. The Blood Kill Division of Martial Arts Hall was notorious for its ruthlessness, each member possessing overwhelming combat power that made them entities to be avoided. Yet today, over twenty members of Blood Fiend Hall had all died in this desolate wilderness. 0

Removing their masks revealed faces filled with extreme fear, pale as corpses. 0

"Their pupils are very constricted; it seems they were frightened by something," someone analyzed. 0

"Their bodies are cold; they must have been dead for a while," another person said after touching the skin of a corpse. 0

"No, they should have just died," said a Gentle Young Man wearing glasses. 0

"How do you know?" someone frowned. 0

The young man adjusted his glasses and said, "Their chests are still warm." 0

"Why?" 0

The Glasses Youth understood he was asking about the reason for this situation and replied, "Whether human or some kind of animal, they will react in extreme fear. It's like how a rabbit plays dead when it sees an eagle; it's a self-protection measure." 0

"What does that have to do with it?" 0

"Let me finish my point. It's very impolite to interrupt others." Ignoring the fierce look in the man's eyes, the Glasses Youth continued, "When a person feels extreme danger, all the blood in their body will concentrate in the heart, instinctively protecting it. That's why they feel cold all over but have a hot chest." 0

"I see now," everyone said in realization. 0

"However, what exactly made them so fearful? Moreover, their deaths are quite strange, almost as if... almost as if..." 0

"As if they were beaten to death by someone," another interjected. 0

"Yes, exactly. I can't think of any force that could crush a human skull and extract a heart; it's too incredible!" 0

A wise light flashed in the young man's eyes. "I want to know that too. Perhaps we should chase after them and ask." 0

"Chase? How do we chase?" 0

The Glasses Youth scoffed lightly, "I really doubt whether your head contains a brain or just a pile of dung." 0

"What did you say?!" the man shouted angrily. 0

"They clearly left in a hurry and didn't have time to cover their tracks. With such obvious tire marks, how could I say I lost you?" Glasses Youth teased as he glanced at him. 0

The man's face turned red with anger, but upon recalling the other's identity, he snorted coldly and chose to remain silent. 0

"What should we do now? Should we follow the tire tracks?" someone asked. 0

The youth nodded and then shook his head. 0

"What do you mean?" the person questioned, puzzled. 0

"Don't just focus on the present; we need to think long-term. It's not just one vehicle that left, nor is it only one direction," Glasses Youth pointed out. "The tire marks here are more pronounced and deeper, indicating they were in a rush. The spinning of the tires caused this. Over there, however, are some scattered footprints, which likely belong to others—most probably the professor's people." 0

"Aside from that terrified bald man, we haven't seen any other bodies resembling those of the professor's subordinates. They must have hidden after witnessing the enemy's terrifying presence and only came out once the danger had passed, before leaving in a hurry." 0

"Are we going to pursue both groups simultaneously?" someone asked. 0

"Exactly. The vehicle that left first must have the professor in it; we need to go there as we definitely require his presence. However, I believe his subordinates might also have some clues. We can't put all our hopes on just one lead; perhaps his subordinates will surprise us," Glasses Youth said with a smile. 0
