Yin Yang Demon Suppression
Mini Ye Mingshang flew around, dodging numerous obstacles. After passing through countless Mountain Demons, he finally landed in front of a creature that shimmered like a lake, with strange horns on its head and a single leg beneath its body. Aside from its bright red eyes, it looked just like any other Mountain Demon.
"Ah!" Upon seeing the 'dwarf' suddenly appear in its line of sight, the Amber Mountain Demon let out a shriek and called for its companions to attack. Meanwhile, the mini version of Ye Mingshang smiled relentlessly, as if filled with endless energy, circling around the Amber Mountain Demon. Occasionally, he would launch sneak attacks that made the Mountain Demon cry out in pain.
The corner of the mini Ye Mingshang's mouth curled in mockery, completely ignoring the slow movements of the Mountain Demon. His abilities seemed entirely focused on speed; describing his velocity as 'swift as the wind, rapid as thunder' would not be an exaggeration.
Although his attack power was relatively low, his speed was impeccable. The saying "In martial arts, only speed is invincible" certainly held true. While this wasn't martial arts, he still managed to control many Mountain Demons, including their leader, with overwhelming speed.
With Mini Ye Mingshang distracting them, commands could not be issued. The attacks from other Mountain Demons became less disciplined. Many monsters charged wildly towards the obvious target, only to be reduced to dust!
As more Mountain Demons sensed the terrifying atmosphere and witnessed their companions' deaths, they chose to flee! In an instant, the camp split into two factions: one desperately trying to escape and the other fiercely attacking.
The few neutral Mountain Demons who had chosen to observe realized victory was hopeless upon seeing the division and also decided to retreat.
"Eight Dragons and Eight Tigers Eight Vajras, heads adorned with fire dragons shining in all directions; illuminating demons and earth demons, slaying evil spirits and banishing wickedness; urgently summon the Buddhas of the four corners,
This command, this command, wave it away, Namo Amitabha! South Dipper Six Stars, North Dipper Seven Stars; I beseech the Supreme Laozi for urgent wishes!"
Once again activating the Eight Great Vajra Guardian Techniques, under Ye Mingshang's reckless magical power enhancement, those talismans ignited one after another. The bright flames were blinding like flashbangs, causing the demons to fall over in disarray.
"By my divine incantation, I subdue evil spirits; perish!" With a fierce expression, Ye Mingshang shouted as a torrent of magical power surged forth. The formation instantly radiated golden light; whether it was the Golden Tiger, fire dragon, Vajra or Buddha, they all erupted with several times more power than before.
In an observable burst of speed, those strange Mountain Demons turned to dust one by one, vanishing into the ground. Ten, twenty, a hundred!
Aside from those fleeing, each remaining Mountain Demon charged forward recklessly. They disregarded any tactics; according to their instincts, some used claws, some used legs, and some even charged headfirst.
They crazily attacked, attempting to break the protective barrier. However, under the defense of the formation, very few could even directly touch the protective light screen, let alone break it!
After several minutes of reckless attacks, they finally ran out of steam. With a few scattered assaults, Ye Mingshang transformed defense into offense, unleashing a burst of magical power that exhausted them completely.
One must admit that Ye Mingshang was truly strong. Especially his magical power, which was so profound that it completely overshadowed all other experts of the same level. Even the demon race, known for their thick magical power, would have to bow down in admiration. After such reckless expenditure of vast amounts of magical energy, Ye Mingshang only broke a light sweat on his forehead and suffered not even a hint of external injury.
External injuries were one thing; after all, they hadn't touched his physical body. But to endure so many attacks without even a hint of internal injury was remarkable, as if the previous protective spell was an entirely automatic defense system. No operation or monitoring was needed; even if it failed, it would merely consume energy.
However, Ye Mingshang was genuinely using his own magical power. This demonstrated just how formidable his strength was; calling him the strongest below Human Immortal would not be an exaggeration.
Having dealt with a bunch of annoying fellows, Ye Mingshang did not act arrogantly or impulsively. Leaving behind a puppet clone to maintain the formation, he charged forward directly.
Along the way, he encountered many Mountain Demons but ignored them. Those who dared to attack him were often dispatched with a single blow, turning them into mere fragments.
Stepping through the wilderness with the Northern Dipper Steps, Ye Mingshang moved as if traversing flat ground. With a graceful motion, he leaped over obstacles and occasionally used both hands and feet to spring off a large tree surrounded by several people. He looked incredibly stylish and magnificent.
If any martial arts enthusiast or extreme sports fan were to see this, they would surely be captivated. In such a swift and thunderous pursuit, it wasn't long before Ye Mingshang appeared before the leader of the Amber Mountain Demon.
At this moment, the leader of the Amber Mountain Demon was exhausted from fending off the mini version of Ye Mingshang and had no time to pay attention to the real Ye Mingshang who had already infiltrated.
Naturally, Ye Mingshang was quite pleased with this situation. It was better for him not to be noticed and to quickly finish off this monster so he could continue moving forward.
With this thought in mind, Ye Mingshang's right hand transformed into a claw-like shape as he murmured softly while a shower of starlight fell around him. His right hand pierced into the head of the Amber Mountain Demon as easily as if he were stabbing tofu.
As he pierced in, the originally fierce and frenzied Amber Mountain Demon suddenly quieted down as if struck by a paralysis spell.
At this moment, Ye Mingshang was using a dark method to extract the soul of his opponent. This technique was something he had learned in the mountains, developed by one of the protectors of his family's elder, the Vampire Bat.
By absorbing the opponent's brain essence through the pores of his fingers, he could grasp a portion of their memories. This method was indeed quite evil, but compared to soul searching, it was relatively lenient. Nevertheless, the Vampire Bat remained a key target for various sects.
Ye Mingshang lightly closed his eyes to absorb and digest the memories of the Amber Mountain Demon. During this time, Mini Ye Mingshang vigilantly circled around, ready to block any attacks from unknown enemies. Fortunately, it did not take long, and they emerged unscathed.
After about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, Ye Mingshang opened his eyes. The memories of the Amber Mountain Demon were chaotic and disorganized. However, some recent memories were quite clear and devoid of unnecessary details.
From these memories, Ye Mingshang gleaned five relatively useful pieces of information:
1. This Mountain Demon was indeed the shadow that had attacked them earlier.
2. Most of them had been forcibly transformed into creatures similar to Mountain Demons due to external circumstances, except for a few.
3. They were under the command of someone or some force.
4. Someone was plotting against them.
5. The enemy was already aware of their arrival and had prepared numerous obstacles.
At first glance, these clues seemed useless, but upon closer examination, they could prove to be extraordinarily significant. However, this was contingent on their knowledge remaining unknown to the enemy.
The crisis with the Mountain Demons seemed to have come to an end. Fortunately, most of these Mountain Demons were fakes. If they were all genuine Mountain Demons, considering that hundreds or thousands could simultaneously use their peculiar abilities would give Ye Mingshang a headache.
For now, it seemed safe, and Ye Mingshang did not dismiss his Puppet technique. Although it consumed a considerable amount of mana, this cost was negligible compared to the benefits they provided. After all, without the assistance of the Puppets, Ye Mingshang would find it much more challenging to deal with opponents; moreover, this mana was trivial for him.
They arrived at their original camp in a few quick steps, looking at the debris scattered all around. Even Ye Mingshang felt somewhat uncomfortable, let alone the two ordinary people from the Lin Clan. Including Lin the Old Man, the two were hunched over a familiar large tree, vomiting.
Perhaps even the trees were disgusted; without any wind, they occasionally emitted Sasha's sounds, as if intentionally trying to avoid them. Ye Mingshang had no time to care about this; as long as they did not actively attack or harm him, he couldn't be bothered.
After waiting for a while, the two of them gradually felt better. Ye Mingshang instructed Scarred Ghost to restore their spirits. This was one of the Evil Spirit's abilities: healing. By consuming the unique energy of the Evil Spirit, it could produce healing effects and recover any injuries in a short time.
However, the premise remained the quality of energy. Scarred Ghost was already rich in ghostly power, though perhaps far from Ye Mingshang's level. Nevertheless, healing a bout of vomiting was still easy for him; in no time, the two were back to normal.
After receiving treatment, the two felt quite peculiar and curiously examined their bodies. However, compared to them, there was still one person who was unconscious...
That was Joan, who had been knocked out by Ye Mingshang with a slap. Seeing Joan still in a coma made everyone speechless. Their lips twitched; just looking at him made them feel pain.
Using a Spirit Talisman and murmuring incantations, a water ball fell and splashed onto Joan. The cold water stimulated him, causing Joan to shiver awake. Like someone just waking up, he stared blankly for a few seconds before recalling something and widened his eyes to observe his surroundings.
"What are all these pieces of corpses?!" Joan exclaimed in shock. It was no wonder he reacted this way; although many Mountain Demons had been turned into powder, there were still quite a number of monsters that had become chunks of flesh scattered around.
Ye Mingshang glanced at him but did not mention having knocked him out. He dryly informed him that he had caused great trouble by recklessly attacking and attracting a large number of Mountain Demons, nearly endangering everyone’s lives. They had only just managed to repel the enemy.
Scarred Ghost naturally wouldn’t make things difficult for himself; he was terrified of Ye Mingshang. The Lin Clan Ancestors and Descendants also kept quiet; using their words, they were on Ye Mingshang's side.
After understanding the 'truth' of the situation, Joan lowered his head in shame and seriously reflected on his impulsive actions. He promised never to make similar mistakes again, but he completely forgot why he had fainted in the first place...
