Yin Yang Demon Suppression
Looking at the scene before him, Joan was stunned. What on earth was going on? What were these dozens of people doing? Could it be...
As a possibility crossed his mind, cold sweat broke out on Joan's forehead.
"You all keep chatting, haha. My mom is calling me home for dinner, I have to go now, haha!" Joan instinctively tried to leave but suddenly stopped in his tracks. These people looked like they were here to deal with the Master; if he left, would the Master be beaten to death by them? Although his Daoist Arts were impressive, it seemed ineffective against ordinary people. Even if the Master was fine, he surely wouldn't teach him if he ran away.
"Master, my mom's cooking is really delicious. You should come with me, haha!" Joan laughed awkwardly and prepared to pull Ye Mingshang away. However, Ye Mingshang had no intention of leaving, and even if he did, there were others here who would disagree.
"Hmph! Still thinking of leaving? Everyone, get him! Take this clown down!" Xu Sheng commanded, and the people in front swung their wooden sticks and charged forward.
"Oh my god! They're serious!" Seeing that they were really making a move, Joan turned pale. Although he considered himself fairly capable, that was just average. He could handle one or two opponents of similar strength. But these were tough guys; how could he possibly be a match for them?
"Master's heart!" Just as Joan was dazed, a burly man swung a wooden stick at Ye Mingshang's head.
"Damn it, I'm going for it!" Gritting his teeth, Joan lunged at the burly man. Although the opponent was strong, he was throwing his whole body into the attack, which gave him considerable power. He knocked the man down to the ground and took advantage of the moment to land two punches on the man's face. Snatching the wooden stick, he rushed to protect Ye Mingshang.
Seeing that their side had been taken down by Joan, several people shouted and swung their sticks at him. Joan glanced at Ye Mingshang, who remained calm and unflustered. Why wasn't he moving? Did he expect Joan to handle this?
"Kid, still daring to fight back? You're dead meat!" A burly man shouted as he swung at Joan.
With no time to think, Joan had no choice but to engage in combat. This time it was a hard clash; it wouldn't go as smoothly as before. Since he wasn't as strong as his opponents, he suffered losses in several direct confrontations.
"Kid, take this stick!" As Joan turned around, he saw someone swinging a wooden stick toward Ye Mingshang. But Ye Mingshang showed no signs of dodging.
"Damn it!" In a moment of desperation, Joan had to take a hit from his own opponent and rushed behind Ye Mingshang.
"Bang! Ugh!" Joan blocked the blow for Ye Mingshang but couldn't help letting out a muffled groan.
Why wasn't the Master moving? It couldn't be that he was scared stiff. With Master Ye's skills during the fight with the Cat Demon, even if he couldn't defeat these people, he could certainly escape. Yet, he neither attacked nor fled. Could it be? Was he testing me?
"I'm going all out against you!" Joan thought of this possibility and exerted all her strength. Attacking like a madwoman, no one could get close to Ye Mingshang for a moment.
"A bunch of useless fools! Dozens of you can't even get past one person! Get in there and fight, do you still want your money?" Xu Sheng outside the crowd was grinding his teeth in frustration.
With this shout, the group finally put in some effort. Before long, Joan had taken several blows, and the pain was intense; every spot that was hit burned fiercely. Sweat had caused her forehead wound to become slightly infected, and her head throbbed.
"Damn it! If only I were stronger!" Joan gritted her teeth, continuously blocking the incoming wooden sticks. Deep down, she loathed her own weakness.
"If I were strong enough, my parents wouldn't have died! If I were strong enough, my master wouldn't have died! It's all because I'm useless! I'm so useless!" She kept berating herself in her mind.
"I'll kill you all!" The pain in her body and the torment in her heart completely ignited Joan's fighting spirit. Ignoring the number of opponents, she swung a stick around and struck a burly man on the head.
"Crack! Mmm!" With the sound of the stick breaking, the man let out a muffled groan and collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
"Ah!" Although the stick had broken, Joan's eyes were red as she hurled the broken piece at another person.
"Ugh!" Though that person dodged a fatal blow, they were still injured by the stick. One hand clutched the stick while the other pressed against their abdomen, blood flowing down their fingers incessantly.
"Die for me!" Joan disregarded her own safety; without a weapon, she grabbed a young man who was attacking Ye Mingshang and bit into his neck.
"Ugh!" The young man screamed! Blood flowed freely as if it were free, and Joan swallowed quite a bit of it.
"Dammit!" The others, seeing their companion bitten, were shocked but swung their sticks at Joan's back.
In pain and pushed by the youth, Joan was forced to let go. However, he managed to tear off a large piece of flesh from the youth's neck.
Accompanied by the youth's scream, Joan viciously spat the flesh aside.
"This guy has gone crazy, everyone attack together!" shouted a young man in a baseball jersey.
At this shout, five or six people rushed towards Joan. This time, Joan didn't dodge; instead, he took the initiative to attack in return for injury. He charged forward, taking a hit on his shoulder and then driving his knee hard into the opponent's abdomen. He snatched the opponent's stick and swung it to block an attack from behind while kicking another in the groin.
Although he managed to take down two people with reckless abandon, there were simply too many opponents. After kicking the second person, he couldn't dodge in time and was struck on the head with a stick.
"Ah!" Acting on instinct, Joan swung his stick but missed as the opponent dodged. His head throbbed painfully, his ears ringing, and his vision began to blur.
Though he still had some fighting spirit left, his stamina was running out. While he could still land heavy blows on his opponents, he had taken quite a few hits himself and was eventually struck on the back with a stick, losing his balance and falling down.
"Ha!" A young man in a tank top viciously swung a stick at Joan. Seeing the attack coming, Joan had no strength left to dodge. He couldn't help but think to himself, "I really am useless..."
"Bang!" With a dull sound, the scene where Joan should have been hit by a stick did not occur. Instead, an imposing figure that wasn't particularly tall but stood like an unmovable mountain blocked in front of Joan.
"Master..." Joan weakly called out before losing consciousness.
"You've protected me for so long; it's my turn to protect you now." Ye Mingshang's cold face showed a hint of emotion as he kicked away the youth attacking him and bent down to place a blood-stopping talisman on Joan.
"Stop with your tricks! Everyone attack!" Seeing Ye Mingshang's mysterious demeanor and the talisman he produced, someone mustered up their courage and shouted!
"Since you all want to provoke my anger so much, I will fulfill your wish!" A fierce light flashed in Ye Mingshang's eyes, and he suddenly appeared in front of the shouting youth with incredible speed. With a swift knee lift, he sent the young man flying. After knocking down several people, he crashed into a tree and fell to the ground like a limp ragdoll.
"Is this really the power of a human?" This thought emerged in everyone's mind.
"What are you standing there for? There are so many of you; no matter how strong he is, he can't take us all on. Go!" Xu Sheng shouted from the sidelines, drenched in cold sweat after seeing Ye Mingshang kick the youth away. He hurriedly yelled to encourage everyone and himself.
"Right! There are so many of us; he can't defeat all of us."
"Let's all go together!"
"Ah!!!"
As they charged towards him, a sneer appeared at the corner of Ye Mingshang's mouth.
"In the face of absolute power, everything is futile." He left behind this calm remark. With a push of his foot, and under the terrified gaze of one youth, he knocked him down with a punch.
Then, with an incredible angle, he kicked away someone who had attempted to ambush him from behind. In another dash, he swept through four or five people with a single kick.
In the blink of an eye, seven or eight people were knocked down and lost their fighting ability. The crowd felt their hearts sink; they wanted to flee but found themselves unable to escape, turning their fear into strength as they charged at Ye Mingshang.
Ye Mingshang stood in place with a disdainful smile. A cold radiance flashed in his eyes as his figure seemed to transform into an afterimage, moving continuously within a two-meter radius.
Time seemed to freeze; it appeared as if Ye Mingshang had never moved at all and was still standing there. The people around him also seemed to have come to a halt.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you..." Xu Sheng was about to shout angrily when the latter half of his sentence got stuck in his throat.
Everyone within a two-meter radius of Ye Mingshang fell to the ground after a brief moment of stillness.
"Is this... is this a movie?" This was what the onlookers thought.
"Is this Fellow really human?" This was what Xu Sheng and others were thinking.
...
After a brief silence, Ye Mingshang moved. With each step he took, Xu Sheng and the others felt their hearts tremble. Although more than half of the people still had fighting spirit, they did not believe they were qualified to defeat this god-like man. They stood frozen in place, neither daring to approach nor retreat, their gazes following Ye Mingshang's movements.
"Thud~ thud~" Ye Mingshang finally stopped in front of Xu Sheng.
Looking at the slender young man who was slightly shorter than himself, Xu Sheng felt a surge of fear rising from deep within. It was the fear of death!
As Ye Mingshang's gaze shifted, Xu Sheng's heart leaped into his throat. From those eyes, he seemed to see hell! He saw the abyss! He saw countless Evil Spirits screaming!
Xu Sheng's eyes widened, his jaw trembling uncontrollably as he coughed. Sweat had already soaked through his clothes, and his long legs were shaking uncontrollably.
Even though Ye Mingshang did nothing, just silently watching him was enough to make him feel as if he were falling into an abyss.
"Thud!" He knelt down on the ground. Xu Sheng didn't even dare to speak; he could only keep bowing his head repeatedly. The sound of his head hitting the ground echoed in the hearts of everyone present.
