I was silent for a moment and quietly asked, "How old is your boss?" 0
He smiled and replied, "He will be 38 next year." 0
"Ah?" 0
I was surprised. "He's 18 years older than you." 0
"Yeah." 0
"He is handsome and looks very young." 0
I laughed and said, "He is 18 years older than Sister." 0
He paused slightly. 0
His face turned red. 0
He hurriedly stood up. 0
He whispered, "I... I need to go now." 0
He turned and left. 0
I was stunned. 0
Did I say something wrong? 0
To make up for Huang Xin's terrible sneakers, I specifically asked Sister to help make a pair. 0
While Sister was making the shoes, I was assisting her from the side. 0
As she was sewing, she suddenly asked me, "Zhao Di, do you like Huang Xin?" 0
I was taken aback. 0
My face flushed slightly. 0
I stammered, "I... I don't." 0
"You..." 0
"I..." 0
I lowered my head. 0
Feeling awkward, I said, "I... I just feel like I owe him a favor." 0
She was silent for a moment and then quietly said, "When the boss comes back, I'll ask him to introduce someone." 0
"Ah?" 0
I panicked and said, "No... that's not necessary!" 0
She looked at me in confusion. 0
I awkwardly explained, "I... I don't plan on getting married." 0
She hesitated to speak. 0
I sighed. 0
My feelings were complicated. 0
After a moment of silence, I stood up. 0
I softly said, "I'm going out for a bit." 0
"Where are you going?" 0
"I'm... I'm going to sell something." 0

"You..." 0
"I'll be back soon." 0
I lowered my head and hurried away. 0
With my backpack on, I arrived at the bustling commercial street. 0
I found a corner and took out the handmade crafts from my backpack. 0
All these crafts were made by Sister; she is very skilled and good at making these things. 0
I set up a stall on the street to help Sister sell her goods. 0
Her handmade crafts are exquisite and inexpensive, so they sell quickly. 0
In less than an hour, I sold everything. 0
I packed up and planned to wait for Huang Xin. 0
I wanted to treat him to a meal to thank him. 0
Suddenly, I saw a group of street wanderers gathered ahead. 0
Most of those wanderers were men, dressed in rags and looking unkempt. 0
They were surrounding a small child who was curled up on the ground, looking terrified at the men. 0
The men were kicking and hitting him, even spitting on him. 0
I was furious. 0
I rushed over. 0
"Stop it!" 0
The men glanced at me impatiently and said, "What’s it to you?" 0
I coldly replied, "Aren't you ashamed to bully a child with so many of you?" 0
"You..." 0
"Get lost!" 0
"You..." 0
They glared at me fiercely, as if they wanted to pounce on me and hit me. 0
I was not afraid at all. 0
I glared back at them and turned to leave. 0
As I walked away, I took the small child with me. 0
He was trembling and closely followed behind me. 0
I brought him back home. 0
I boiled a pot of hot water and led him to the bathroom. 0
I said softly, "You should take a shower." 0
He kept his head down and didn't say a word. 0
He tightly clutched half a piece of bread in his hand. 0
He was dirty and smelled bad; it was clear that he had wet himself. 0
I sighed. 0

I pushed him into the bathroom. 0
I whispered, "I'll go find you some clothes." 0
I turned and walked away. 0
I went to find Sister. 0
Sister was sewing. 0
When she saw me return, she smiled and said, "Back already?" 0
I quietly replied, "I picked up a little child." 0
She paused for a moment. 0
I awkwardly added, "I... I felt sorry for him..." 0
She chuckled softly. 0
"It's okay." 0
"Did you give him a bath?" 0
"I'll go help him wash up." 0
She stood up. 0
She said softly, "You go make dinner." 0
"I'll help him with his clothes." 0
She left. 0
I made dinner. 0
I cooked spicy stir-fried meat and also stir-fried an eggplant. 0
I served three bowls of rice. 0
Me, Sister, and that little child, we ate together. 0
During dinner, the little child kept his head down and didn't say a word. 0
I picked up a piece of meat for him, and he cried. 0
I was taken aback. 0
