Every morning, I go to the market to sell soy milk. However, I still enjoy pestering Sister about her story with that young entrepreneur. Sister says that the entrepreneur is very smart and capable. Sister smiled.
She took out a red cloth bag from the wardrobe and handed it to me.
I was surprised and asked, "What is this?"
Sister said, "Open it and see."
I opened the red cloth bag and was stunned.
Inside were many pieces of jewelry: earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, and more.
I exclaimed, "Sister, how do you have so much jewelry?"
Sister smiled and replied, "I've saved it up over the years."
I was shocked. "Where did you get the money?"
Sister said, "I save most of my salary each month after paying for food."
Looking at Sister, tears welled up in my eyes.
Sister said, "Zhao Di, I know you like these pieces of jewelry. That's why I specially bought them for you as a dowry."
I wiped my tears and said, "Sister, I don't need it."
"How can you not need it?"
"I'm not getting married."
"If you're not getting married, how will you have children?"

I stuck out my tongue.
I glanced out the window at the darkening sky and said, "Sister, it's late. Let's go to sleep."
"Mm."
Sister and I lay down.
Just as I closed my eyes, I suddenly saw a shadow flash by outside the window.
I opened my eyes wide.
I quietly took my phone out from under the pillow and switched to video mode.
Then, I pretended to be asleep.
After a few minutes, the window slowly creaked open, and a shadow jumped in.
The shadow tiptoed to the bedside and reached out towards my neck.
I reacted quickly, pulling out a pair of scissors from under the pillow, aiming at the shadow, and shouted, "Thief!"
The shadow was startled, stumbled, and fell right out of the yard.
Sister panicked and braced herself against the door.
I ran to the window, leaned out, and shouted outside, "Thief! There's a thief!"
The neighbors turned on their lights one by one.
