The symmetrical animal layout in this Azure Jade Double Crane Pendant originates from the Tang Dynasty, but this dual crane motif gradually became more prevalent during the Song Dynasty.
"Boss, you’re not trying to fool me, are you? I know my stuff. If this is really jade, would you sell it to me?"
Lin Fan knew that the piece was genuine jade, but he deliberately said this to create the illusion that he was pretending not to understand, making it easier for him to negotiate a lower price.

The boss stuffed the jade pendant into his pocket, sat down on the bench with his arms crossed, ignoring Lin Fan.

Lin Fan frowned; he had to get this genuine jade no matter what. If the boss wouldn’t lower the price, he would still take it for thirty thousand yuan. After all, this was a piece worth three million!
"Thirty thousand!" The boss replied calmly.

"No way, it's thirty thousand!" The boss stood his ground.
"Then forget it, I'm leaving."
Lin Fan turned around and walked away without a hint of hesitation.
Seeing Lin Fan turn to leave without any reluctance, the boss was taken aback; he had only wanted to negotiate with Lin Fan.
"Hey, wait a minute! If you give me three thousand, I'll sell you this jade," the boss called out to Lin Fan.
"Eight hundred! If you sell it, I'll buy it; if not, I'm leaving," Lin Fan stopped in his tracks.
"Alright, alright, I'll give it to you!"
The boss stared at Lin Fan for a moment and realized that there was no way to raise the price any further given Lin Fan's firm attitude.
In the end, he pretended to be reluctant as he pulled the jade from his pocket and wiped it with his sleeve. "This jade is genuine; I'm selling it to you for eight hundred. I'm losing money on this deal."
As he spoke, he looked at Lin Fan with anticipation and pulled out a payment QR code for Lin Fan to transfer the money on the spot.
Lin Fan felt excited inside but remained calm on the surface. He calmly took out his phone from his pocket and prepared to scan the code for payment.
At that moment, a voice came from the side.
“Wait a minute, how much is this jade? I want it.”
A middle-aged man in a Zhongshan suit walked over, striding confidently with an extraordinary demeanor.

Lin Fan scanned the QR code without hesitation.
