"What is his true purpose?" I repeated Du Ming's words, filled with confusion and unease. Night Owl, that name weighed heavily on my heart like a massive stone. Du Ming held my hand; his palm was warm and dry, giving me immense strength. 0

"Don't worry, Lingxi," he looked into my eyes, his tone firm, "we won't let him succeed." 0

Du Ming's promise was like a calming pill, easing my anxiety slightly. We began to take action, leveraging the Du Family's influence in the Cultivation World and my medical skills to contact various sects and assemble an elite team. 0

"This time, we must act swiftly," Du Ming pointed to the red dot marked on the map, "this is the headquarters of Night Owl's forces, as well as the core area where they study the power of the Demon God. As long as we destroy this place, we can significantly weaken their strength and buy ourselves more time." 0

I looked at the densely packed marks on the map, a surge of ambition rising within me. To protect the peace of the Cultivation World and to prevent the resurrection of the Demon God, I was willing to give everything! 0

The night was dark as ink, and in the biting cold wind, I gazed at this determined team before me, feeling a flood of emotions. They came from various sects within the Cultivation World, gathering here without hesitation for a common goal: to safeguard this land's tranquility. 0

"Lingxi, are you ready?" Du Ming stood at the front of the team in black attire, resembling a sword drawn from its sheath, radiating sharpness. 0

I took a deep breath and handed him a jade vial. "This contains a new elixir I've developed that can temporarily enhance your spiritual power, but there will be a period of weakness after its effects wear off. Use it cautiously." 0

Du Ming accepted the vial with a confident smile. "Don't worry; I know what I'm doing." He turned to face the entire team, his voice loud and resolute. "Everyone, Night Owl's evil deeds are countless! Today, we will leave no one alive among them and rid the world of this menace!" 0

"Kill!" The thunderous battle cry echoed through the skies as the team transformed into streaks of light heading toward the red dot on the map. 0

I followed closely behind Du Ming, my Silver Needle flying in hand to treat injured teammates. The battle was exceptionally fierce; Night Owl's forces were far stronger than we had imagined. They were well-trained and coordinated, each person exuding an eerie demonic aura clearly influenced by the power of the Demon God. 0

Du Ming fought like a god of war; wherever he went, enemies fell one after another. His sword seemed like a silver dragon; each swing claimed multiple lives. I had never seen him so fierce before; my heart felt both worried and admiring. 0

The heavy scent of blood mixed with demonic energy was nauseating. My Silver Needle danced in my hand as I quickly stopped one teammate from bleeding out. 0

"Lingxi, be careful!" Du Ming's voice came from not far away, tinged with urgency. I looked up to see him surrounded by a group of men in black; his moves were fierce but he struggled to break free. 0

I was about to rush over to help when I suddenly caught sight of a building nearby emitting an eerie red glow. The light flickered ominously, accompanied by waves of unsettling energy fluctuations. 0

Not good! A sense of dread filled me; my instincts told me that something secretive was hidden there. 0

"Du Ming, be careful! I'll be right back!" I shouted to him before sprinting toward the red light without hesitation. 0

The men in black tried to block me but were pushed back by my Silver Needle. I moved swiftly and reached the building in just a few breaths. 0

It was a massive stone hall from which the red light emanated. Cautiously pushing open the heavy stone door, an even denser wave of demonic energy rushed at me, nearly suffocating me. 0

I held my breath and used the faint light to see inside. 0

In the center of the hall stood a gigantic altar covered in strange runes that emitted an otherworldly glow. Suspended above it was a black sphere riddled with cracks that seemed ready to shatter at any moment. 0

Below that sphere stood several figures in black robes chanting incantations. Streams of black demonic energy surged from their bodies into that sphere. 0

My heart sank as I realized they were conducting a terrifying ritual and that sphere might very well be key to resurrecting the Demon God! 0

I must stop them! 0
I took a deep breath and silently slipped into the great hall, looking for an opportunity to disrupt the ritual. 0
The figures in black robes were clearly unaware of my presence; they were completely focused on the ceremony, oblivious to the impending danger. 0
My gaze swept across the entire hall, finally landing on a stone pillar beside the altar. The pillar was engraved with intricate runes, seemingly the energy hub of the entire ritual. 0
A thought struck me, and I formulated a plan. I held my breath and quietly approached the pillar, my Silver Needle glinting with a cold light in my hand. 0
Just as I was about to strike and destroy the pillar, a cold voice suddenly rang out behind me: 0
"What do you think you're doing?" 0
I was startled and turned around abruptly, only to see a figure in a black robe and mask had appeared behind me without my noticing. He held a black longsword, its tip pointed directly at my throat. 0
"Who are you?" I forced myself to remain calm and asked coldly. 0
"Who I am is not important; what matters is that you are about to pay for your foolishness!" The figure's voice was icy, and his eyes gleamed with murderous intent. 0
A sense of dread filled me; I knew things were unlikely to end well today. 0
At that moment, an unexpected turn of events occurred! 0
