When Van Loon was still pondering its situation and future, The old wizard suddenly began a spellcasting motion. His hands swiftly traced intricate runes in the air, and then a cube shimmering with white light gradually formed around Van Loon, completely trapping it. Van Loon felt a hint of panic, its heart racing, its eyes filled with confusion and unease.
The old wizard's eyes sparkled with the curious light typical of a scientific researcher. He gazed at Van Loon trapped in the cube, his tone tinged with excitement: "Hey! You understand what I'm saying, right? Now, I'm going to study how your body differs from a regular sheep. Not only do you possess intelligence, but you also have magical abilities... Van Loon was turning his body in the cube, trying to find the exit, but soon he realized it was futile. He felt the goodwill of The old wizard, knowing that the old man meant no harm, only driven by curiosity and passion for research into the unknown. Van Loon could only accept his fate of being a temporary subject of study with resignation.
The old wizard continued to observe Van Loon, his eyes revealing a hint of focus and determination, as if he had completely immersed himself in the research. To The old wizard, Van Loon was not just a subject of study, but also a potential key to unlocking new mysteries of magic. Van Loon could feel the passion and focus of The old wizard, and gradually relaxed, quietly waiting for the old wizard's next move.
Elder Mage's fingers lightly skimmed over the pages of the magic book, causing them to flip as if moved by the wind. Each page was filled with densely packed magic symbols and ancient text. His gaze shifted between the pages and Van Loon, as if seeking answers while also attempting to understand the secrets of Van Loon's unique existence.
Turning his head, Elder Mage gazed at Van Loon and asked, "Since you can understand human speech and use magic, then let me ask you... have you ever used magic before?" Van Loon pondered for a moment. Although his ability, The Eye of the Demon, was a special power, he wasn't sure if it qualified as traditional magic. So, he shook his head, indicating that he had never used magic before.
Elder Mage asked again, "Do you understand the principles and basic structure of magic?" Van Loon was completely ignorant of these profound magical knowledge, and he had no concept of how the fireball had just formed. He shook his head again, indicating his ignorance of magic.
This series of questions and answers made Elder Mage furrow his brow slightly, as if contemplating the possibility and reasons for Van Loon's unique situation. His gaze became even more profound, as if pondering the deeper secrets behind it. Van Loon stood quietly, unable to express in words, but his eyes were full of curiosity and anticipation, hoping to learn more about this otherworld and the knowledge of magic from Elder Mage.
Elder Mage frowned, his gaze scanning Van Loon as if searching for an answer. He muttered to himself, "So, you have never used magic before and don't understand magic theory... Then how did you just use magic? And how did your entire Magic node form?" His words were filled with doubt and curiosity, as if this unprecedented phenomenon was beyond his knowledge.
Van Loon was completely puzzled by Elder Mage's mention of "Magic node," not understanding these professional magical terms. Going with his intuition, he focused on his own body, trying to find an answer. It was then that he noticed two new passive skills in his status bar: "Master of Magic" and "Child of Magic."
Van Loon carefully studied the two new skills he had acquired, feeling both amazed and curious about these sudden abilities. He first focused on the skill "Master of Magic," a passive skill that is automatically obtained when magical power exceeds 1,500. It significantly reduces his magical energy consumption when casting spells, providing him with a huge advantage and allowing him to use magic more freely and sustainably.
Next, he turned to the skill "Son of Magic." This special ability is obtained only after successfully activating the entire Magic node in his body. It greatly reduces incantation time, casting time, and skill cooldown. This means he can use magic more quickly and frequently, bringing him great convenience in both combat and daily life.
Van Loon realized that the acquisition of these skills seemed to be related to his accidental experiment in the Elder Mage's cabin. His body and soul may have undergone some profound changes after coming into contact with magical elements, naturally opening up his entire Magic node and making breakthrough progress in the flow of magic.
