In the dense forest of the Beast Wasteland, a life-and-death battle was unfolding.
Xu Feng wielded his dual swords, fiercely attacking a black panther. A Qi stood on a nearby tree, watching Xu Feng's fight intently but hesitating to intervene.
Soaked in sweat, Xu Feng already knew that A Qi would not come to his aid; A Qi would only step in when he was on the brink of death.
This was the outskirts of the Beast Wasteland's Sixth-Level Monster area, less than five miles from Cliff, where Feng resided. Strictly speaking, this was A Qi's territory; other beasts could pass through but were not allowed to linger.
Now, this black panther was killing here.
The panther had just entered the Sixth Level, measuring over three meters in length and entirely black. Having reached the Sixth Level, it had left its original territory without establishing a new one and encountered A Qi, who was pretending to be injured while leading it into the jungle to find a "sparring partner" for Xu Feng. The poor panther had unwittingly become Xu Feng's opponent.
In Arrow Vein Mode, Xu Feng's attack power at the Foundation Establishment Late Stage was comparable to that of an Early Stage Golden Core cultivator. The black panther, slightly stronger than Xu Feng and incredibly fast, found it difficult to evade Xu Feng's sword energy despite suffering considerable damage from it.
Conversely, the panther used its agility to break through Xu Feng's sword net several times, leaving shallow wounds on his body.

With a roar, the panther suddenly vanished like ink disappearing into water and reappeared right in front of Xu Feng.
"Phantom Prowl" was the divine ability of the black panther. Every beast above Sixth Level could unleash their hidden divine abilities to strike unexpectedly at their opponents. A Qi also possessed an incredibly powerful divine ability; Xu Feng had witnessed Lu Dishi being burned alive by A Qi's Red Flame.
With a swift swipe of its claw, Xu Feng screamed as a gash opened from his left forehead down to his chin. Blood gushed out instantly, staining his chest and neck; if he hadn't reacted quickly enough, he might have lost his left eye.
"My face! My face!" Xu Feng shouted as he flew backward. The panther seemed to have calculated Xu Feng's retreat perfectly and followed up with another claw strike that hit Xu Feng's thigh. This blow was heavy; flesh was deeply sliced open on his left leg, exposing bone.
Xu Feng hurriedly spun his dual swords into two swirling flowers of blades to protect himself and swiftly spread his Wings of the Strange Dragon, soaring high up into the treetops while quickly popping a healing Fifth-Rank Pill into his mouth.
The panther struck successfully but was surprised that it hadn't killed Xu Feng. Seeing him suddenly sprout two wings and fly up into the trees, it vanished once again into thin air.
Xu Feng observed clearly this time that the black panther had not truly vanished; instead, it had utilized a secret technique to increase its speed several times over. Coupled with the dim light in the forest, it appeared as if it had disappeared into thin air. From the treetops, Xu Feng looked down and only saw the panther's bright eyes transform into two faint white lights darting up from below the trees.
"Not good!" Without a moment to think, Xu Feng flapped his wings and soared higher, flying towards the top of a nearby tree. Just as Xu Feng took off, the black panther lunged at him, its sharp claws grazing the soles of Xu Feng's shoes as it passed by.
Having narrowly escaped, Xu Feng dared not be careless any longer. He quickly bandaged the wound on his leg, blood streaming down his face as he fixed his gaze on the panther, retracting his dual swords and raising the Moonchaser Bow.
The black panther had already exhausted itself after using its stealth technique twice and saw Xu Feng suddenly switch weapons. It hurriedly leaped down from the tree.
"Whoosh!" Xu Feng's arrow energy followed closely behind the panther. As the panther turned to descend, it was caught off guard by Xu Feng's sudden arrow attack and was struck in its right leg.
The panther let out an angry roar but did not retaliate; instead, it turned and fled. The arrow had pierced through its right leg but had not reached the bone. In pain, the panther escaped, its speed significantly reduced compared to before.
With blood on his face, Xu Feng pursued like a Killer God behind it. The Chasing Moon Arrow was fired continuously; one was flying through the trees while the other was running on the ground. Both were incredibly fast, and in an instant, they covered four or five miles.
While dodging arrows and fleeing for its life, the panther's speed was much slower than Xu Feng's. Eventually, it stopped running altogether and began hiding on the ground, desperately trying to avoid Xu Feng's arrow energy.
Xu Feng shot around thirty arrows from above at the panther, but astonishingly, all of them missed as the panther evaded them effortlessly. It was akin to a rookie unable to hit a stationary target while trying to shoot at a moving one; every shot went astray. Even A Qi, who was watching from the side, felt embarrassed.
Xu Feng was drenched in sweat; this was too humiliating—if word got out, it would greatly affect his image.
However, this was not entirely Xu Feng's fault. The panther was already one of the fastest creatures around, and combined with the dim lighting and obstacles from trees in between, hitting it with a single shot was indeed challenging.
Moreover, unlike the previous Sad Arrow that could fire ten arrows simultaneously, the Moonchaser Bow only allowed for a single arrow to be released at a time through its designated energy channel. To shoot multiple arrows quickly, he could only increase his rate of drawing back the bowstring.
In other words, he could only use rapid-fire arrows but not simultaneous shots.

If it stood still, two arrows would hit it; if it moved left, four arrows awaited; if it moved forward, four more arrows were ready.
Whether it dodged or not, the arrows were there.
In the end, the Black Panther chose the most reasonable course of action: it lay flat on the ground, like a piece of paper pressed against the surface.
Most of the arrows flew over its head, and two struck its tail. However, its luck did not hold out entirely; one arrow pierced through its waist, shattering its vertebrae.
The Black Panther let out a mournful cry, curling up on the ground like a paralyzed black dog. Its fate was sealed.
Xu Feng had been tricked by the Black Panther and dared not approach carelessly. He shot two arrows that created large holes in the Black Panther before jumping down from the tree. Upon inspection, he confirmed that the Black Panther was indeed dead beyond recovery.
With a roar, Xu Feng shouted loudly, but the wounds on his face that had just begun to heal were torn open again, causing him to cry out in pain.
This was a Sixth Level beast, equivalent to a Golden Core Stage cultivator, with a body stronger than that of a human and possessing Divine Abilities. Now that it lay dead at Xu Feng's feet, this achievement was certainly worthy of celebration.
As he split open the Black Panther's head, a fist-sized black demon core rolled out. A Qi came over to take a look and showed a hint of reluctance.
Xu Feng noticed this and handed the demon core to A Qi with a smile, saying, "Brother, if you like it, take it. You weren't so polite when you hit me." Occasionally, Xu Feng would refer to A Qi as "brother."

Seeing that A Qi had no intention of taking it back, Xu Feng had no choice but to accept it. He removed the black panther's skin and four claws, placing them into his ring. The corpse of a Sixth-Level Monster could fetch a good price.
A Qi looked a bit dejected. Xu Feng suddenly asked, "A Qi, is the demon core beneficial for your cultivation?" As fellow beasts, they often had a habit of preying on each other, which was also a method of cultivation for beasts.
A Qi nodded and then shook its head.

Xu Fengxin was in control of the situation in the furnace, constantly changing hand seals as the spiritual energy inside combined in a specific ratio.
This time, the Alchemy process took a full twenty minutes, which was twice as slow as before.
Four dark red pills appeared in Xu Feng's hand. A Qi caught a whiff of the aroma, and his eyes lit up with excitement.

A Qi couldn't wait to swallow one pill, while Xu Feng watched eagerly, anticipating A Qi's astonished reaction.
A Qi gently patted his belly, like a pregnant woman caressing her unborn child.
