I began to carefully examine every corner of the room—the walls, the floor, the ceiling, and even the cold metal bed did not escape my scrutiny. The room was small and sparsely furnished; apart from the tightly shut metal door, there was only a bed, a table, and a chair.
I walked up to the table, which was completely bare except for a thin layer of dust. I reached out and gently brushed away the dust, revealing some strange patterns etched into the surface, resembling symbols or designs that I did not recognize.
I tried to trace those patterns with my finger. A chilling sensation traveled from my fingertip, and a peculiar energy seemed to flow into my body. I felt dizzy as the Card in my hand suddenly became scalding hot, as if it were about to melt.
Instinctively, I wanted to let go, but the spiral pattern on the Card seemed to come alive, spinning rapidly and releasing a blinding white light.
The white light quickly spread, enveloping the entire room in an instant. I instinctively closed my eyes as a deafening roar filled my ears, as if the whole world were collapsing around me.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself in a completely unfamiliar place.
It was an incredibly vast space surrounded by darkness, with countless glowing books floating in the air like brilliant stars illuminating this dark expanse.
The books varied in size and shape; some resembled ancient Parchment Scrolls, others looked like exquisite metal tomes, and some appeared to be composed of an unknown energy form called Light Sphere, radiating colorful light.
I reached out to touch the floating books, but my hand passed right through them as if they were mere illusory projections.
To my astonishment, I discovered that I could freely navigate between these floating books, as if I were strolling through the cosmos. The surrounding books streaked past me like shooting stars, leaving behind trails of dazzling light.
"Here is..." I looked around, filled with confusion and curiosity.
"Welcome to the 'Hub'," a deep, raspy voice suddenly echoed in my ear. I turned around sharply to see the mysterious figure in a black cloak had appeared behind me without my noticing.
"'Hub'?" I asked, puzzled. "What is this place?"
"This is the convergence point of all timelines, recording everything from the past, present, and future," the mysterious figure said, extending a hand toward the floating books. "Each book represents a timeline, documenting all events that occur within that timeline."
I stared in amazement at the floating books, overwhelmed by shock and disbelief. This place actually recorded everything from all timelines?
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked, my gaze fixed intently on the mysterious figure.
"Because here lies the truth you seek," the figure replied, a meaningful smile playing at the corners of their mouth. "About your identity, about the truth of 'Time Reset', about everything."
"Su Qing!"
In the distance, a familiar figure caught my attention. To my astonishment, Su Qing was also present in this strange space, curiously examining the floating books with a look of surprise and wonder on her face.
"How could she be here?" I wondered, filled with doubt. Could she also possess cyclical memories?
"How she came to be here? That is a question you must seek the answer to yourself," the mysterious figure said as their form gradually faded away until they disappeared completely.
I hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to find Su Qing first and figure out what was going on.
I walked through the floating books towards Su Qing.
"Hello." I approached Su Qing and greeted her softly.
Su Qing looked up at me with a puzzled expression. "Hello, do we know each other?"
I was taken aback for a moment, realizing that Su Qing didn't seem to recognize me. Did she not have memory of the cycles? Or was her memory reset in this space?
"We... seem to have met somewhere before?" I asked tentatively, carefully observing Su Qing's expression.
Su Qing furrowed her brow and scrutinized me, as if trying hard to remember something. "I'm sorry, I really don't recall."
A heaviness settled in my heart; it seemed that Su Qing had truly lost her memory.
"It's okay, my name is Lin Yu. What about you?" I extended my hand, forcing a smile.
Su Qing hesitated for a moment but eventually reached out and shook my hand. "My name is Su Qing."
