Thor struggled to get up, but felt weak and sore all over. He lifted his head and looked at the arrogant monkey in front of him, filled with bitterness and unwillingness. He knew he had lost, utterly and completely.
"Cough... who are you?" Thor coughed up a mouthful of blood and asked with difficulty.
"I am the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong!" Sun Wukong proudly declared, raising his Ruyi Jingu Bang. "You mere mortals dare to offend Old Sun? You truly are tired of living!"
"Sun Wukong?" The King, who was watching from a distance, felt a storm of emotions rise within him upon hearing the name. He had searched through the ancient texts of the Supreme Sanctuary and finally found records about this name.
"Oh my..." the King murmured softly, "it really is him, it really is the Great Sage Equal to Heaven..."
"Steve, what should we do?" Iron Man, Tony Stark, asked anxiously. His armor's energy was nearing critical levels; if they continued fighting, it might not hold up much longer.
Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, was equally at a loss. Sun Wukong's power far exceeded their expectations; even if they all attacked together, it would be difficult to contend with him.
"Wait, Tony, look!" Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man, exclaimed as he pointed towards the battlefield.
Everyone followed Peter Parker's finger and saw a female figure in a red and black suit charging towards Sun Wukong at incredible speed.
"It's Carol!" Steve Rogers immediately recognized her; she was one of the most powerful forces in the Avengers—Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers.
Carol Danvers radiated dazzling energy as she streaked through the sky like a meteor and instantly appeared in front of Sun Wukong. Without any hesitation, she threw a punch aimed directly at Sun Wukong's face.
Seeing this, Sun Wukong's eyes flashed with surprise, but he reacted quickly, slightly shifting his body to dodge Carol Danvers' attack.
"Boom!"
Carol Danvers' punch missed, and the tremendous force struck the ground behind Sun Wukong, causing the earth to shake and dust to fly. A massive pit several dozen meters in diameter appeared on the ground.
"Interesting," Sun Wukong said as he looked at Carol Danvers, a slight smile forming on his lips, his eyes igniting with fierce battle intent.
Carol Danvers said nothing; she clenched her fists tightly and launched another attack at Sun Wukong.
Not to be outdone, Sun Wukong wielded Ruyi Jingu Bang and engaged in an intense close-quarters combat with Carol Danvers.
The two moved as fast as lightning, their strength formidable. Each collision produced deafening sounds, and powerful shockwaves obliterated everything around them.
The Avengers watching from a distance could only see two blurred figures intersecting in the air, unable to discern their movements.
"This monkey's power is terrifying; even Carol..." Steve Rogers said, filled with concern as he watched the earth-shattering battle unfold.
"No, Steve, look!" Tony Stark suddenly pointed towards the battlefield. "Carol's energy is weakening!"
Upon hearing this, everyone quickly observed and indeed noticed that the energy glow surrounding Carol Danvers was diminishing at a visible rate.
"How could this happen?" Peter Parker asked in confusion.
"I don't know, but I have a bad feeling..." Tony Stark said, turning to look at Ant-Man, Scott Lang, who was hiding at the back.
"Scott, can you feel it?"
Scott Lang remained silent, closing his eyes to carefully sense the energy fluctuations on the battlefield. After a moment, he suddenly opened his eyes wide, his expression serious as he said, "The energy from that monkey... it's too strange!"
"Strange?" Tony Stark pressed for clarification. "What do you mean?"
"I feel like... his energy doesn't come from himself, but rather from... an external source!" Scott Lang hesitated before voicing his suspicion.
"External source?" The others exchanged glances upon hearing this.
"Are you saying that this monkey is absorbing some kind of external energy to fight?" Steve Rogers asked.
"Exactly!" Scott Lang nodded. "And I feel that this external energy is incredibly powerful, possibly beyond our imagination!"
"What should we do then?" Peter Parker asked anxiously. "Are we just going to watch Carol get defeated by him?"
"No, we have to find a way to stop him!" Steve Rogers said firmly. "Scott, do you have any ideas?"
Scott Lang pondered for a moment before raising his head, a glint of determination in his eyes.
"I have a plan, but it's very dangerous..." Scott Lang looked at everyone and said slowly, "I need to enter his body!"
