"A Meng, have you seen Xiao Xiao?" I asked anxiously.
"I'm here," A Meng's voice came, but it seemed distant.
"Da Huang, go find Xiao Xiao!" I urged.
"Woof!" Da Huang responded and turned to run.
However, not long after, Da Huang also went silent.
"A Meng, Da Huang, where are you?" I shouted loudly.
But the surroundings were eerily quiet.
"I can't stay here; I have to find them," I thought to myself.
So, I fought back while retreating, trying to locate them.
Just then, a feather floated down and landed on my face.
"Ah—" I screamed, slipping and falling off the boulder.
With a splash, I fell into the water.
"Help..." I struggled, but my body involuntarily sank deeper.
I don't know how long it was before I suddenly opened my eyes and found myself lying soaked on a flat area at the foot of the mountain, with A Meng, Xiao Xiao, and Da Huang beside me.
"Great! You all are here," I exclaimed joyfully.
"What just happened?" Xiao Xiao asked.
"I don't know either; I just felt like something pulled me in, and then everything went dark," A Meng replied.
"Could we have encountered a whirlpool?" Xiao Xiao speculated.
"That's quite possible," I nodded in agreement.
"So where are we now?" A Meng asked.
"It seems like... at the foot of the mountain," I looked around and said.
"So you're saying we were sent down here by the whirlpool?" A Meng said in surprise.
"That could be the case," I nodded again.
"Isn't this vortex amazing?" A Meng exclaimed.
"That means we must have been sent to the rooftop by the vortex," Xiao Xiao said.
"Right, how did I not think of that?" I realized suddenly.
"So, we've found a way to get to the rooftop," A Meng said excitedly.
"Exactly," I nodded.
"Next, we need to figure out how to defeat that giant eagle and complete our mission," Xiao Xiao said.
"That's right," I agreed with a nod.
Thus, the four of us began to devise a battle plan and practiced multiple times.
The next day, we waited for the rainbow to appear so we could ascend to the rooftop again.
Finally, the rainbow reappeared.
"Let's go!" I commanded, and the four of us jumped onto the rainbow bridge together.
We quickly ascended the rainbow bridge, heading towards its center.
After the water cloth disappeared, a group of large fish appeared again, stirring up the vortex, and the rainbow bridge suddenly flickered out of sight, causing us to fall once more...
This time, we were well-prepared and no longer confused or panicked.
The giant eagle still perched atop the Ancient Pine, letting out a loud screech.
A Meng and Da Huang split up to occupy both flanks, with A Meng in the center holding a sword and wearing armor, ready to charge.
Xiao Xiao was searching for the best shooting position from a distance.
The giant eagle first lunged at A Meng, who quickly crouched down as its claws approached, retreating into her shell.
Taking advantage of this moment, Da Huang and I attacked the giant eagle from both sides, but it quickly reacted and swatted us away with its wings.
Despite this, we managed to climb onto the eagle's back and tightly grasp its neck, determined not to let go.
The giant eagle twisted in mid-air, trying to shake us off its back.
Although Da Huang struggled to maintain balance, he still held on tightly alongside me.
Our unwavering determination and close cooperation eventually caused the giant eagle to gradually calm down.
After a long period of perseverance, we finally tamed the giant eagle.
