The broken door let out a strange creaking sound before slamming shut tightly. The dilapidated window did the same, closing firmly against the thick darkness outside, which obscured everything from view. However, in this dark room, Xia Xiaoyu could see nothing but the reflection in the mirror before her.
The woman in the mirror who had been staring back at her?
"Who are you?"
The woman in the mirror had her hair cascading over her shoulders, her entire form appearing almost boneless. Although she mirrored Xia Xiaoyu's movements, sitting on the same stool, there was an unsettling frailty about her. Her head hung slightly down, and even though Xia Xiaoyu could clearly see her face, it radiated an endless chill.
After staring for a while, Xia Xiaoyu finally mustered the courage to ask, but a sense of numbness began to rise within her.
That numbness appeared without warning in the mirror, catching Xia Xiaoyu off guard. But Zifeng had once mentioned that this woman was incredibly fast, capable of moving from one mirror to another.
Despite the sudden fear that gripped her at Zifeng's unexpected appearance, she could not retreat. At this moment, even though she desperately wanted to escape, she knew she couldn't.
Zifeng would surely find a way...
Now, all of Xia Xiaoyu's hope rested solely on Zifeng. She believed he would appear in time.
The woman's hair hung straight down, yet she did not react to Xia Xiaoyu's question. It was as if she was quietly savoring Xia Xiaoyu's fear and anxiety, relishing the growing tension and rapid heartbeat that filled the room.
Just as Xia Xiaoyu was about to ask again, the woman in the mirror slowly lifted her head, aligning her gaze with Xia Xiaoyu's. This made it even more palpable for Xia Xiaoyu to feel the aura emanating from the woman in the mirror.
It was eerie and sinister.
"Are you very scared?"
Her eyes emitted a ghostly green light, filled with a seductive charm, while her expression held a hint of mockery as she looked at Xia Xiaoyu.
"Who exactly are you?"
Xia Xiaoyu felt a chill run down her spine under the gaze of those eyes, her fear intensifying. She had to raise her voice to suppress the terror within her.
"Hmph..."
The woman in the mirror did not open her mouth, yet a cold laugh echoed out. Her voice seemed to emanate from any corner of the dark room.
"Don't you recognize me? Weren't you all so fond of hating me back then?" The woman in the mirror chuckled softly, but the sound carried waves like the tide rolling in.

"Why do you want to kill them... why are you doing this?"
Xia Xiaoyu no longer lingered on that question and directly asked about the reason behind it all.
"Why... heh heh... how many years has it been? I'm out now, and you all will die..."
The woman in the mirror began to laugh ominously, but her last words suddenly turned severe.
Xia Xiaoyu was completely stunned because she couldn't understand what the woman in the Mirror was saying at all.

Her voice carried a tidal wave, crashing into Xia Xiaoyu's stiff and numb mind, again and again.
But Xia Xiaoyu simply could not comprehend what she was saying.
“Why do you want to harm us? What is the reason?”
Xia Xiaoyu saw the woman's face in the Mirror begin to change unpredictably, realizing that the demon was angry. To buy time for Zifeng, she knew she absolutely could not let her attack now; otherwise, Zifeng would never make it in time.
“Why? Heh... You actually ask me why? After everything you have done to me, you dare to ask why?”
The woman in the Mirror's eyes erupted with a cold light. She laughed recklessly, transforming from a sneer into a full-blown laugh.
“What is the reason…”
Xia Xiaoyu began to feel a breeze seemingly flowing into her body, making her feel even colder.
Her words caused the woman in the Mirror to suddenly fall silent, and then she gradually began to disappear. Xia Xiaoyu witnessed this scene but did not let her guard down. The Mirror was now blank, reflecting nothing at all.
