Xia Xiaoyu felt much clearer in her mind, perhaps because of the strange place she was in. In an instant, she sensed that her entire body was tense. She walked back and forth a few steps, only to realize that this was not the way back to her hospital room.
After experiencing so many bizarre events, Xia Xiaoyu was very scared when faced with such a situation, but it seemed that fear had not completely consumed her mind.
Leaning against the wall, her gaze swept back and forth along the corridor. It was at this moment that Xia Xiaoyu noticed that the Water Room she had initially entered had vanished, and even the Nurse had disappeared without a trace.
A chill ran through her heart, but soon, from the other end of the corridor, the sound of high heels suddenly echoed.
Tap tap tap...
The sound was calm and rhythmic. Xia Xiaoyu quickly turned to look toward the other end of the corridor, but saw nothing. However, there was indeed a sound coming from shoes stepping on the floor.

It grew closer and closer. Xia Xiaoyu could sense that there was an unseen "person" approaching from afar, and the sound of the shoes became increasingly clear.
Now Xia Xiaoyu was in a panic. She looked around frantically and finally spotted a faint light where the Water Room had disappeared. In the stillness of the night, it beckoned to her like a soul-calling lantern.

The sound of shoes on the floor grew even nearer and clearer, causing Xia Xiaoyu to feel increasingly anxious. Without thinking any further, she hurriedly turned her attention to the source of the faint light.
As Xia Xiaoyu rushed into the room, she saw a few words written on the doorplate...
Intensive Care Unit...

The door to the room was forcefully pushed open by Xia Xiaoyu, who gasped for breath, leaning against the door.
However, she was immediately startled by the shocking scene inside the room, nearly collapsing in fear.
A dazed patient in a hospital gown, with hollow eyes, was holding a massive cleaver and stiffly cutting into the head of a nurse dressed in a nurse's uniform.
The patient was sawing slowly, blood spraying from the neck and staining both the hospital gown and the nurse's uniform crimson, with blood continuously dripping. Upon seeing the nurse, Xia Xiaoyu felt a surge of overwhelming emotions.
Because that nurse was the one she had encountered while going to the water room!
The nurse's expression showed no pain; on the contrary, she looked as if she were enjoying it, appearing entranced. Since her neck was nearly severed, only a thin layer of skin held it together, allowing her head to almost turn one hundred eighty degrees to stare at Xia Xiaoyu. The nurse kept blinking at her.
"Ah..."
Xia Xiaoyu felt someone push her from behind, causing her to lean forward and come face-to-face with the nurse. Blood splattered all over Xia Xiaoyu's face.
"Shh, be quiet; you'll wake others..."
The Nurse stared at Xia Xiaoyu, whose eyes were wide open, and gently spoke to her.
Thud, thud, thud...
Xia Xiaoyu hurriedly stepped back, and with a bang, she collided with the door. Her heart felt like it was about to leap out of her throat. In that moment, she was so frightened that she forgot everything, her body numb as she leaned against the wall.
Meanwhile, the Nurse's head had been completely severed by the Male Patient. The Male Patient cradled the Nurse's head in his arms, gazing at it with a look of infatuation.
