After an unknown amount of time, a bright streak appeared on the horizon, breaking through the night sky. The darkness gradually receded, slowly sinking away as light began to fill the world, illuminating the vast city.
"Cough cough..."
A few faint coughing sounds came from a room on the second floor. Zifeng and Xu Qian, who were sitting in the hall, immediately reacted and headed upstairs.
Xia Xiaoyu felt as if her entire body had no bones, feeling soft and weak. She was also experiencing a dizzying sensation, unable to muster any strength. When she opened her eyes, everything was hazy, but gradually, the world before her became clearer.
"Xia Xiaoyu, how are you feeling? Are you better?"
Xu Qiankun looked at her weak and haggard face, unable to suppress his concern.

Xu Qian placed the blanket on the counter and then helped Xia Xiaoyu sit up, gently patting her back.
"Where is this?"
Xia Xiaoyu asked weakly.
"At Zifeng's house."
"Am I still alive?"
"Completely."
Xia Xiaoyu lifted her head and looked at the two people in front of her. In an instant, she felt a tightness in her chest, her nose tinged with bitterness, and she began to cry again. Her sobs were filled with sorrow and pain, but neither Xu Qian nor Zifeng stopped her.
At this moment, Xia Xiaoyu needed to vent; she needed to release all the grievances that had been bottled up inside her for too long. These past few days, every time something happened, she forced herself to bury it deep within. Now that she was crying, it was a relief. At least it showed that she was still a little girl, with a fragile side.
"I'm scared..."
Xia Xiaoyu choked out a heart-wrenching statement.

"Can you tell me what happened last night? Why did you run off alone to Qingshui Village?" Xu Qian asked once he saw that Xia Xiaoyu had calmed down.
"Because of a student. Do you remember what I told you about the different deaths of the other students at the University? I found out a bit more. Four years ago, there was a group of students, and we dreamed about one of them. One went insane, and another went missing four years ago. However, her family never came to the University to look for her. But I kept seeing that woman at the University. I found out that she lived in Qingshui Village, so I wanted to go see. But when I got there, there wasn't a single person around. It wasn't just a disappearance; her whole family was dead..." As Xia Xiaoyu spoke, her figure trembled slightly; after all, what she encountered last night was too terrifying.
"Don't get worked up... Calm down first," Xu Qian quickly reassured her upon noticing her emotional turmoil.
"Did you find out anything? What caused her to go missing four years ago, and why did her family die?" Xu Qian asked tentatively.
