She was already exhausted. Under the continuous threats, Xia Xiaoyu didn't know how much longer her collapsing body could hold on. She knew she was facing a huge problem; no matter where she ran, she couldn't escape.
Now, there were only two paths before her: to confront the situation, uncover the truth, and resolve this dirty mess of grievances, or to choose death.
She felt her body breaking down, almost falling apart. She wished that the day could last forever, so she wouldn't have to endure the darkness of the world.
She admitted to herself that she had been very careful. Yes, even during the day, when she went to the bathroom, she would wait until someone else entered before going in. And at night, when passing through Small Grove, she would wait for someone to accompany her. Even after six o'clock, she would be cautious, trying her best to avoid dark places.
