"What's wrong?"
Xia Xiaoyu's expression instantly darkened as she anxiously asked, "Did something happen to the students at the university again?"
"No, it's hard to explain. Where are you? Hurry back. You will definitely be shocked."
Chen Mumu didn't elaborate further on the phone. However, from the tone, Xia Xiaoyu knew that it must be something significant.
Without saying much more, Xia Xiaoyu hung up the phone, grabbed the notebook from the table, and hurried out of the restaurant, heading straight for the university.
The weather wasn't hot, but Xia Xiaoyu could still feel her heart racing with urgency. She had a vague feeling that what Chen Mumu mentioned was going to be more surprising than anything else before.
Fortunately, the restaurant wasn't far from the university. With quick steps and a light jog, Xia Xiaoyu rushed towards the Old Dormitory Building, her fear dissipating as she moved quickly.
"Bang..."
The dormitory door was pushed open, and Xia Xiaoyu immediately saw Tang Jiaying, Chen Mumu, Tian Xiaojing, and Liu Feifei huddled around a computer.
"What are you guys doing?"
Xia Xiaoyu casually placed her bag on her bed and leaned in closer.
“Xia Xiaoyu, come look at this.”
Chen Mumu didn’t say much. When she saw Xia Xiaoyu lean in, she said one thing and then quickly typed on the computer keyboard. Finally, she opened a homepage, and several photos of girls appeared on the screen.
Chen Mumu clicked the mouse and zoomed in on the images, examining them one by one. The girls displayed on the computer looked similar to them but were dressed a bit more plainly. They were likely recent photos, and it seemed they were taken at University, especially since the background featured Cherry Blossoms.
Were these taken at Cherry Blossom University?
“Have you figured it out?”
Seeing Xia Xiaoyu’s expression gradually become serious, Chen Mumu softly asked.
“They took these photos at University…”
Xia Xiaoyu’s gaze remained fixed on the images.
“Yes, and these pictures are from four years ago. I’m certain these girls used to live in this dormitory…”
Tian Xiaojing looked intently at the photos of the girls on the computer, her voice filled with astonishment.
“We can’t make any conclusions without evidence…” Although Xia Xiaoyu was momentarily taken aback by this statement, she quickly regained her composure.
“Xia Xiaoyu, do you remember when everyone in All Dormitory had that nightmare? We dreamed that there was no one in the entire school, but we saw people on each of our beds in Room 514?”
Chen Mumu clicked the mouse, flipped through several photos, and finally stopped at a picture of a very innocent-looking girl with long hair, exuding a light campus purity.
However, Chen Mumu seemed a bit frightened. She pointed at the girl on the screen and turned to Xia Xiaoyu, saying, "The girl I dreamed about last time, that's her..."
Ignoring the shock on Xia Xiaoyu's face, Chen Mumu flipped to the next photo, which showed a girl with short hair who appeared quite tall and somewhat slender. A sweet smile lingered at the corners of her mouth, but it brought the atmosphere in the dormitory down several notches.
"This one is the girl that Jia Ying dreamed about..." Chen Mumu flipped to another photo and said, "This is the girl Feifei dreamed about... and this is Tian Xiaojing's dream girl..."
As Chen Mumu continued to speak about each photo, Xia Xiaoyu felt waves of bone-chilling cold wash over her. Yes, it was very cold, as if she had merged into an ice cellar, suffocatingly cold.
There were still two girls in the photos that Xia Xiaoyu and her friends did not recognize. In total, there were six girls in the pictures; four of them were from dreams, but the other two remained unknown to Xia Xiaoyu and her friends. However, they could surmise that these unfamiliar faces also lived in the dormitory, just on different beds.
But this was too unbelievable—how could they have dreamed about girls who used to live in this dormitory?
