Ah...
It is unclear how much time has passed, but a scream echoed throughout every corner of Cherry Blossom University in the night.
The birds that roosted in the Forest panicked and took flight. In an instant, the nearest office building lit up with dark windows one after another.
The night was eerily silent, with a haunting darkness that seemed to conceal a lurking monster, its enormous eyes quietly observing everything.
Around midnight, sirens sounded outside Cherry Blossom University as police began to arrive.
The report came from a security guard on the night shift who was the first to reach the scene. Upon hearing the scream, he rushed to investigate as any responsible guard would.
When he arrived, Xia Xiaoyu was already paralyzed with fear on the ground, trembling uncontrollably. She did not flee; perhaps her legs were too weak from terror to move...
The guard immediately called for backup, and soon many others were drawn to the scene by the sound of the scream.
Some used flashlights to illuminate the area in front of the Old Teaching Building, where Surin lay with her eyes wide open, having fallen from above.
She had plummeted from the Fifth Floor, her body nearly shattered upon impact. The back of her head was split open, brain matter oozing out.
Bones had pierced through her body due to the violent collision, and blood spread across the uneven concrete path, creating a gruesome sight.
Those who caught a glimpse were horrified; just seeing her wide-open eyes at midnight sent chills down everyone’s spine.
Xia Xiaoyu was almost in shock, completely frozen in place.
At midnight, police arrived and cordoned off the area with red warning tape, clearing all personnel and conducting an investigation.
Xia Xiaoyu was taken to the Hospital for examination; after all, she was deeply traumatized and trembled like someone in a daze.
This was not something a girl could endure...
When she was taken to the Hospital, it was already past twelve.
This incident alarmed many people, including those in Dormitory 514. Although they didn't see the scene, they rushed to the Hospital as soon as they heard that Xia Xiaoyu had suffered a tremendous shock.
Fortunately, Xia Xiaoyu was able to endure despite encountering so many bizarre events; this fear did not break her.
The doctor's conclusion was that she had been overly frightened. As long as she quietly recuperated, there was nothing seriously wrong.
This eased everyone's minds significantly; after all, she was safe.
Xia Xiaoyu was arranged to stay in a single room for examination, but there were no major issues. After a delayed treatment, she would basically be able to return to University.
Inside the Hospital, Xia Xiaoyu still hadn't fully come to her senses. Her gaze was somewhat vacant, and her mind felt blank.
The initial scenes began to flash through her mind—too real and too terrifying...
"Xia Xiaoyu, how are you? Are you okay?" In Room 411 on the fourth floor of the Hospital, Tian Xiaojing, Chen Mumu, and Liu Feifei were all present.
Tang Jiaying, the lively spirit, also sat quietly with her head down, looking gloomy.
Chen Mumu looked at Xia Xiaoyu, who was trembling while holding a cup of water on the bed, and couldn't help but softly ask.
