Xia Xiaoyu felt her heart pound violently for a moment. Ever since she last dreamed of Lin Xi, she had been telling herself about the Mirror.
"I only know this much. Her medical report still hasn't come in. If it does, I'll see if I can ask about it, but Xia Xiaoyu..." The voice on the phone became serious and then said, "Are you really planning to investigate this matter?"
"I'll take a look first. Thanks, and remember to call me with any news. I'm in my dorm, so I'll hang up now! Bye."
After hanging up the phone, Xia Xiaoyu weakly returned to her dorm, feeling listless.
"Xia Xiaoyu, what's wrong? You rushed out earlier. Tell me, was it your boyfriend calling? Are you afraid we might hear?" Tian Xiaojing chuckled.
Xia Xiaoyu shot her a glance but didn't respond, walking straight to her bed and sitting down.

After having dinner in the cafeteria, it was still early, and everyone planned to stroll through the night market. Initially, Xia Xiaoyu had little interest, but after thinking it over, she realized she didn't dare go back to the dorm alone.
So she went along!
The bustling city was lively and noisy, far better than being in the university.
By the time they returned, it was nearly nine o'clock in the evening. They had street barbecue at the night market and drank some beverages. The irregular eating habits took a toll on Xia Xiaoyu, and she started feeling stomach pains on the way back. It was quite uncomfortable. However, she hadn’t found a Public Restroom, so she held it in.
As soon as she entered the school gate, she could barely hold on any longer. Although it felt a bit embarrassing for a girl to be in such a situation, Xia Xiaoyu had no choice at that moment.
"Wait for me at Small Grove; I need to go to the bathroom!"
Before even stepping through the school gate, Xia Xiaoyu hurriedly said this to the others. However, knowing that there was no one at Small Grove, she felt a bit hesitant and could only ask them to wait for a moment.

The restroom had been built a long time ago, so it was dark inside. The light bulb was like those used in rural areas, calculated by wattage, not the incandescent bulbs or fluorescent lights used today, providing very little illumination.
The cement floor was still damp, giving off a dark and humid feeling. The temperature inside was naturally lower than outside, making Xia Xiaoyu feel uncomfortable all over.
Moreover, she had previously read a book called "Toilet Encounter with a Ghost," which described an atmosphere almost identical to what she was experiencing now.
Back then, she had only imagined it; she thought ghosts didn't exist in this world. She read ghost stories out of curiosity or for a thrill.
But now, Xia Xiaoyu didn't think that way anymore because... had she really encountered something?
