In the pitch-black and blurry dormitory, a loud sound echoed, followed by heavy panting that filled the air.
The light was turned on!
The sudden noise startled several people in the dormitory awake.
Liu Feifei withdrew her hand from the power switch and looked in confusion at Xia Xiaoyu, who was drenched in cold sweat. She sat on her bed, clearly shaken, gasping for breath with wide-open eyes, indicating that she had just experienced a nightmare.
"Xia Xiaoyu, what's wrong with you?"
It wasn't Liu Feifei who spoke, but Chen Mumu, who looked at Xia Xiaoyu with a puzzled expression. She rubbed her eyes, clearly still not fully awake.
"Did you have a nightmare?"
Tian Xiaojing also looked at Xia Xiaoyu in confusion and spoke softly.
Tang Jiaying had not yet woken up; she merely turned over in response to the light piercing through the dormitory, mumbling something indistinctly as she wrapped her head in her blanket.
Surin, who lived on the lower bunk, was shielded from the light by the upper bunk's board. Facing the wall and lying sideways, it was unclear whether she was still asleep.

After about ten seconds, Xia Xiaoyu finally pulled her thoughts back from the depths of her mind to reality. She glanced at everyone in the dormitory with difficulty before nodding.
"Oh, it's nothing, just a nightmare!" Chen Mumu was momentarily taken aback by Xia Xiaoyu's anxious expression, but upon hearing that it was just a nightmare she had during the night, she managed to calm the tension rising in her heart and smiled faintly.
"I dreamt about Xiao Xi?"
After suppressing the inexplicable emotions that had arisen within her, Xia Xiaoyu said softly.
With this statement, a heavy sense of solemnity quietly enveloped the entire quiet dormitory.
At midnight, although the dormitory was not cold, everyone felt a chill rising from deep within their hearts upon hearing those words.
The relaxed expressions of several people stiffened again, their gazes subconsciously drawn to the same empty bed.
"Xiao Xi, what happened?"
After a long silence, Chen Mumu finally turned her gaze to Xia Xiaoyu and asked weakly.
"I dreamt that I entered a small room, which had no door. I was very anxious. At that moment, Xiao Xi suddenly called out to me from a dark corner. She looked just like before, and I even remembered the clothes she was wearing—those were the ones she used to wear. She kept opening her mouth to speak, but there was no sound at all; I couldn't hear what she was saying. I was so anxious and wanted to go closer to listen. Suddenly, a terrifying hand appeared behind her, grabbing her and dragging her into the darkness..."
Xia Xiaoyu paused, struggling to speak as her emotions became more agitated. The scenes from the beginning felt too real, leaving her with an illusion of being trapped in them.
"Was she taken away without saying anything? Does she have any unfinished wishes?"
Looking at Xia Xiaoyu, who was drenched in sweat and whose pajamas were completely soaked, it was clear that the initial dream had frightened her greatly.
"No, I heard a few words..." Xia Xiaoyu looked up, swallowed hard, and a hint of terror appeared in her eyes. After hesitating for a long time, she finally said, "When she was pulled into the darkness, she kept saying two words. She said 'Mirror'... She repeatedly told me 'Mirror'..."
"Mirror..."
The girls in the All Dormitory exclaimed in surprise simultaneously.
After saying this, they fell silent again because none of them knew what Xiao Xi meant by "Mirror"...
