Seven years later, Zhou Junren's two daughters have grown up. However, they did not spend these seven years in the Zhou family.
To protect her daughters and to prevent Zhou Junsheng from having any concerns, Cheng Shuhua secretly took their two daughters to Europe seven years ago. They stayed in Europe for seven years, and the daughters changed their names to Cheng Yuyao and Cheng Yuwan, taking their mother's surname. While discussing business, Guo Ziqian occasionally glances at the twin sisters at the bar.
Cheng Yuwan leaned closer to Cheng Yuyao's ear: "Sister, that person keeps looking at us!"
Cheng Yuyao casually glanced at Guo Ziqian in the corner, who quickly averted his gaze.
Mr. Ryan continued to express his collaborative intentions: "If this book can be widely circulated in China, then all my efforts in life will not have been in vain."

Guo Zhiqian nodded in agreement: "This poetry collection is the best I have ever seen in terms of literary quality. Some poems are as passionate as fire, while others are as gentle as water. Some leave readers feeling stirred, while others offer profound insights. If I were to translate these poems, I would make sure to render them as classics."
Mr. Ryan was clearly pleased: "Mr. Guo, you flatter me! I've heard your president mention you; you are a top talent in your organization!"
Guo Zhiqian humbly responded, "Not at all!"
Cheng Yuwan continued to scrutinize Guo Zhiqian: "He either recognizes our identities or has ulterior motives. I want to test him!"
Cheng Yuyao instructed, "Don't act recklessly!"
"I know."
Cheng Yuwan picked up two cups of coffee and walked over to Guo Zhiqian.
Guo Zhiqian, Jia Guangren, and Sofidelain were engaged in lively conversation. Finally, Mr. Ryan made the final decision: "Then I will rely on both of you for the translation of this poetry collection!"
Guo Zhiqian and Jia Guangren exchanged smiles with Sofidelain. At that moment, Cheng Yuwan approached them with the coffee.
Cheng Yuwan placed the coffee in front of Mr. Ryan and Guo Zhiqian and said, "Sir, I notice that every time you come here, you discuss different books with different people. My sister and I can guess the identity and profession of every guest in our shop, but we cannot figure out yours."
Guo Zhiqian subconsciously glanced at the bar, where Cheng Yuyao was attending to another customer.
“Oh, just consider me a mere scholar!”
“I'm afraid your identity is not that simple,” Mr. Ryan said to Guo Zhiqian. “Since they’ve asked, you might as well tell the truth.”
“Alright!” Guo Zhiqian sighed and continued, “I am an editor at the World Book Bureau. For work, I need to read various books and meet different authors.”
Cheng Yuwan noticed the calluses on Guo Zhiqian's hands and the injury on his wrist and persistently asked, “Are the calluses on your hands and the injury on your wrist also related to reading?”
Guo Zhiqian quickly withdrew his hand and smiled slyly, “Miss, if I were to tell you my true identity in full detail, wouldn’t that be boring?”
Rejected by him, Cheng Yuwan returned to the bar and angrily slammed the tray down on the counter.
Cheng Yuyao asked her, “What’s wrong? Did you eat gunpowder?”

In a corner of the café, Guo Zhiqian and Sofidelain were getting up to leave.
As Cheng Yuwan looked at Guo Zhiqian with dissatisfaction, Cheng Yuyao was making coffee nearby when a group of thugs approached the café counter.
The Ruffian Leader leaned against the counter, casually standing there. "Hey, miss, how's business here?"
Cheng Yuwan glanced at the thugs and understood their intention. "Not good!"
"Do you know why it's not good?"
"Why?"
"Come here, let me tell you!"
The Ruffian Leader beckoned Cheng Yuwan to lean in closer, and she obediently moved a bit nearer.
"It's because you have no one to protect you, you know? A pretty girl like you, if there's no one to look out for you... the consequences could be unimaginable!"
Cheng Yuwan feigned a flirtatious demeanor. "Big brother, who could protect me?"
"We can! With a beautiful face like yours... oh my..." Just as the Ruffian Leader's intentions grew bold and he reached out to touch Cheng Yuwan's face, she grabbed his finger.
"Big brother, are you going to protect me, or am I going to protect you?"
Ruffian Leader cried out in pain, "Protect me! Protect me!"
Cheng Yuyao said, "Sister, let him go, let him roll away!"
Cheng Yuwan asked Ruffian Leader, "Did you hear that?"
Ruffian Leader nodded repeatedly, "I heard! I heard!"
"Get lost!"
Cheng Yuwan pushed Ruffian Leader far away. Once freed, Ruffian Leader regained his confidence; he shook his sore wrist and commanded his subordinates, "This woman dares to play tricks; smash her shop!"
The five or six thugs behind Ruffian Leader picked up chairs from the café and prepared to wreak havoc, causing chaos among the customers inside. At that moment, Guo Zhiqian suddenly intervened, grabbing the wrists of two thugs and forcefully pushing the chairs back into place.
"Fight!"
With a single command from Ruffian Leader, he and his men surrounded Guo Zhiqian. However, Guo Zhiqian quickly took action, easily knocking each of the thugs out of the café.
Guo Zhiqian held Ruffian Leader's arm behind his back, leaving Ruffian Leader no choice but to beg for mercy.
"Spare me! Spare me!"
"From now on, don't let me see you on this street again!" Guo Zhiqian kicked him down onto the street. Ruffian Leader, in a sorry state, scrambled to his feet and fled with his brothers in a panic.
The customers in the café gave Guo Zhiqian a warm round of applause.
Cheng Yuwan called out from the bar, "Sir, I think I should know how the calluses and scars on your hands came to be! But I still can't guess your true identity."
Guo Zhiqian replied, "If you can't guess, then don't. Isn't it better to keep a little mystery?"
Guo Zhiqian looked at Cheng Yuyao, who was calmly preparing coffee at the bar, and added, "You sisters remain unflustered; you must be more than just the owners of this café."
Cheng Yuwan and Cheng Yuyao smiled but did not respond. At that moment, Mr. Sofidelain was walking out of the café.
"Mr. Ryan, please!"
Guo Zhiqian gentlemanly stood at the entrance of the café to greet Mr. Ryan and exchanged polite gestures with Jia Guangren and Sofidelain as they exited.
Mr. Ryan praised Guo Zhiqian, "I didn't expect Mr. Guo to be so well-rounded!"
Guo Zhiqian humbly replied, "It's nothing much; I've just learned a bit here and there."
Cheng Yuwan and Cheng Yuyao watched Guo Zhiqian as he left the café. Suddenly, Cheng Yuwan said, "Sister, I'm becoming more and more interested in this guy! Sister!"
Cheng Yuyao continued to gaze at the entrance of the café, "I suddenly feel like I've seen his movements and expressions somewhere before!"
"You wouldn't have a crush on him, would you?"

Cheng Yuwan pouted and turned to grind the coffee beans. At that moment, the phone at the bar rang. Cheng Yuyao picked up the receiver, "Hello! Mom!"

As Zhou Junren's wife, Cheng Shuhua was not living with the Zhou family. She rented a house with her two daughters, where she had set up an altar, burning incense and candles, offering prayers to the image of Buddha.
Cheng Shuhua's silhouette sat amidst the swirling fragrance.
"A shipment will arrive at the port tonight, which may be used for the Biological Experiment project. You two must seize this shipment!"
Cheng Yuyao asked, "Aren't you coming with us?"
Cheng Shuhua held a photo of a middle-aged man in her hand. "I need to go track down the pharmacist who is receiving this shipment. You two will have to carry out this mission."
Cheng Yuyao and Cheng Yuwan exchanged determined looks and said in unison, "Mom, don't worry! We will definitely complete this mission!"
That night, under the dim moonlight, Cheng Yuwan and Cheng Yuyao, dressed in dark clothing and masks, weaved through the stacks of cargo at the dock, searching for their target. Finally, they spotted a dock ahead where more than ten armed bodyguards stood. A black leather suitcase was being held by the bodyguard leader.
Cheng Yuwan whispered, "Sister, they've increased their vigilance this time. What should we do?"
"You distract them while I steal the goods!"
"Good!"
With that, Cheng Yuwan quickly ran to the other side of the Dock, using the stacks of goods for cover. Suddenly, one of the Bodyguards swept the area with a flashlight and called out, "Who’s there?"
Cheng Yuwan hurriedly hid behind a pile of cargo, while Cheng Yuyao gasped at the sight. Fortunately, the area illuminated by the flashlight revealed no one.
The Bodyguard Leader gestured for him to check it out. The Bodyguard cautiously approached the pile with the flashlight. There were squeaking noises coming from beneath the cargo until a mouse poked its head out. The Bodyguard let out a sigh of relief and turned to the Bodyguard Leader, saying, "Boss, it's just a mouse!"
At that moment, Cheng Yuwan, hiding behind another stack of goods, quietly threw a dart that struck the Bodyguard in the neck, causing him to collapse.
The Bodyguard Leader became tense and signaled two more Bodyguards behind him to check it out.
These two Bodyguards, armed and ready to retaliate at any moment, approached cautiously. Cheng Yuwan waited for them to get closer before launching two more darts. The two Bodyguards fell one after another. Meanwhile, Cheng Yuyao had stealthily moved closer to the Bodyguard Leader under the cover of Cheng Yuwan and the cargo stacks.
The leader and the remaining Bodyguards formed a tight circle.
"Boss, could it be Thorned Rose?" one of the Bodyguards asked.
The Bodyguard Leader thought for a moment before suddenly saying, "Cancel today's transaction! Retreat!"
The Bodyguards began to withdraw toward the cargo ship docked at the port. As Cheng Yuyao emerged from behind a cargo box, he threw six darts that struck six men in their legs, causing them to fall.
When the Bodyguard Leader saw Cheng Yuyao, he found him already standing by the cargo ship at the Dock, blocking their escape route.
The leader was surrounded by the Bodyguards and quickly moved towards the shore. At that moment, they realized that Cheng Yuwan was already blocking their path.
Suddenly, a shout from Wang Junpeng came from a distance at the port: "Hurry! Hurry!"
In the distance, Wang Junpeng rushed over with more than ten police officers.
Time was of the essence. Cheng Yuyao decisively shouted to Cheng Yuwan, "Make it quick!"
Cheng Yuwan nodded. Just as the Bodyguards raised their guns, both of them drew short knives and launched an attack on the Bodyguards. Some Bodyguards were knocked down, while others fell into the water from the Dock. In a moment, Cheng Yuyao retrieved the black box.
"Retreat!"
With a sharp command from Cheng Yuyao, she and Cheng Yuwan used their lightness skills to swiftly maneuver through the cargo piles at the port. Wang Junpeng and his police officers fired at the Cheng Sisters, but all the bullets were dodged by them.
Wang Junpeng had chased all the way to the Dock to capture the "Thorned Rose." It was clear that the Cheng Sisters and his Mother were what was referred to as the "Thorned Rose" organization. Their notorious name derived entirely from their signature dart shape—pointed with barbs and blood grooves, resembling a budding rose at the tail. Since they committed their first crime, the police had given this case a poetic codename, "Thorned Rose," based on these darts' characteristics. As Cheng Mother and Daughter continued their criminal activities, "Thorned Rose" gradually became synonymous with them.
